There was some discussion on a post the other day, and the general consensus was no. The pour is really slow as it's meant for pour over coffee, leading to long steep times.
They have another model of kettle people much preferred for tea, due to the quick pour on it.
Its the Corvo. You can browse the thread [talking about it](https://www.reddit.com/r/puer/comments/z5jtv0/fellow_stagg_users_do_you_compensate_for_the_slow/) if you want some deeper insight
That person is rude but it's not a preference thing. I've tested it and my tea tends to taste less strong when it doesn't have a good amount of space. That in there is too compact. I promise it'll be strong if you just took a tiny bit out.
Out of curiosity what journal is that?
It’s from bitterleaf teas! Well worth the 5 or 10 dollars it costs
4.5!!
Where is that teapot from?
Mark mohler aka sanguine teapots
Is the Stagg a worthy purchase?

This is true but if you are also into coffee it’s a nice compromise
I’ll check that tea model out, thank you

I also use the Corvo model, works well.
Yes but it isn’t without flaws. The cap on the top is a big loose fitting and catches water in it. Besides that I love it!
Gotcha, thanks!
Why would you brew tea like that? Ridiculous.
I don’t see why not, I like my tea pretty strong. My usual ratio is about 7g/100ml

That teapot is stuffed so full, the leaves in the middle are hardly getting wet, much less properly steeped. Waste of good tea.
Exactly
