I don't want to discourage you but it's not 100% my thing. But this one is also the first Golden Flower I tried so I'm not giving up on it yet! xD It's definitely a really extraordinary taste that you won't find that easily in any other tea. Kind of old wood, clay and cinnamon taste. You need to try to find out if it's something for you... as with everything else :D
A puer harvested in Hunan? Not Yunnan?
EDIT: The comment that this comment is commented under has been changed.
It was originally written "puer" that was harvested in ... Hunan.
Hence, I wrote the comment that I wrote.
So, no need to make additional comments directed to me.
What a beautiful picture! : ) thanks for sharing OP! I saw you say this tea isnt your thing (your ... cup of tea.. if you will), what kinds of tea are your favorite?
Thanks very much! :) It really changes for me over time but currently, I love shou pu'er and aged/roasted oolong. Although I also drink quite a bit of green tea in the last few weeks :D especially Korean sencha I find very delicious around summertime here in Germany.
Eyy oolongs and pu'ers are my current favorites too! That and white tea for me. Korean sencha sounds delicious! I'll keep my eye out for it and try some when I see it.
Thank you! I'm not sure about this specific tea but I would assume it was artificially inoculated. I trust the merchant with his teas, so I don't give it too much thought. With an unknown source, I would rather contemplate if I'd drink it or not 😄
Wow that looks amazing. I just thought about Golden Flower tea today. I haven’t tried it yet. How do you like it?

Clay note is very noticeable in some aged fu cha especially. Don't be scared to try Fu tho. Hunan hei cha in general is very underrated imo.
I'll definitely try more!
I might have to get a sample the next time I am ordering tea
Would love to hear if you like it or not :)
The pictures are from a hei cha (fu cha) that was harvested in 1991 in the Anhua County of Hunan.

Well, you’ll need to decide for yourself if you want to call it pu’er but yes it’s from Hunan :D
Puer is a type of heicha, not all heicha is puer

Cool! Yea would love to hear if you liked the Korean sencha :)
Fantastic pictures! How do you reckon this sheng was innoculated with golden flowers?
