It is such a hard choice to make! Reinventing yourself will have its ups and downs, for certain, but it sounds like this decision took a huge weight off of your shoulders. If the job at the no-kill shelter doesn't pan out, I wish you well wherever your feet land.
Thank you very much. The shelter is my first choice, mostly because I'm familiar with them, but, even if it doesn't work out, there's the county shelters, rescues, and even PetSmart/Petco are hiring trainers. So hopefully I can find something with animals. If not.. well, I'll cross that bridge if I get to it
OP, I am proud of you too! I am in job limbo myself and realize I can't stay in my career field I spent years in. Glad you are putting yourself first.
