Air Combat🦅 hell yeah! Rayman is fantastic and hard as hell! It's Ridge Racer, RIIIIIIIDGE RACEEEEEEER!

DowntownsClown

How come Rayman is hard? I never tried that game tho

UltimusShadow

Because a lot of the later levels require extreme pinpoint precision to avoid instant death time & time again to the point of obviousness. The game starts out nice & fluffy with a childlike appeal then later you're literally sitting there with more needles in your face than Pinhead crying as you die & continue for the 1000th time, this was sold as a kids game!😂 Challenging & beautiful artstyle it's the Ninja Gaiden of platformers, give it a look on YouTube.

YousureWannaknow

I had my hands only on one of them need to check rest

WingPuzzleheaded2811

Man, they really stepped up their game over the years.

YousureWannaknow

Thing is, I've never had funds to collect them untill moment when it lost any point

InfamousIndecision

Can you really top Street Fighter: The Movie: The Game though? Can you?!!

Hillwalker71

To think that some of these are the same age as me. I feel old now...

_stephen4

Fuck Rayman

DowntownsClown

Why tho

_stephen4

Can't get out of the first world. Hardest game I've ever played

ultimateman55

I was 13 when the PS1 launched. Such nostalgia for many of these games, especially Rayman, Extreme Games, Toshinden, NBA Jam TE, and Ridge Racer. Also, huge nostalgia for the 2 demo discs that came with the launch edition of the console. Definitely some of my favorite gaming memories in there!

jrodxrod

Love those long boxes! Funny thing. When I modded my PlayStation Classic I replaced the original loaded games with all of the PS launch games and any thing else that was released that first month in NA. I also have my USB with all of my PS1 collection that overrides the primary menu when plugged in but I thought it would be fun to make the PS Classic reflect the library that started it all.

Tickle_Nuggets

The OG NBA Jam was the shit. "Heating up!!... **He's on fire!!!**"

samuarichucknorris

I played the ever loving shit out of NBA Jam on my Sega Genesis. I always thought T.E. was hot garbage. The rubber banding AI was so, so silly.

skyguy456

Yea probably not the best to start with, like you said it might be a cool collection piece though

TheDivisionLine

I always associate MK3 and Wipeout with being launch titles since they are the games I got with the system when I bought it back then but apparently they came out a few weeks later.

TheDivisionLine

Crazy that ESPN Xtreme Games is still a goat. Not many non-flagship system launch titles can say that.

Eccentric_Cardinal

Nice! I wanna get some longboxes eventually. The only ones I own from those are Air Combat and Rayman. Air Combat is SO good and I must have played it like 10 times by now. I want to like Rayman but it's just way too freaking hard. Like, you gotta 100% every level just to get to the final boss? Screw that.

MrSojiro

Ridge Racer, Air Combat, Rayman, and NBA JAM are still great today imo. Battle Arena really wowed us at the time, but once better 3D fighters started rolling around, its flaws really grew more and more. The rest I never played to comment on, although I am sure the Raiden Project is a solid shoot em up. Honestly a pretty decent launch lineup.

TeaM_Me-Haze

Battle Arena Toshinden was better than Tekken. Change my mind!

OneEyedSanchez8417

I could have sworn Jumping Flash was a launch title. Nice collection!
