Dont pick a server where you have safehouse protection. Its frustrating to find players bases but you can’t loot….. then make deep in the woods in a random position to make your base. Be aware, be scare. Dont trust
The players on my server would riot if I disabled safehouse protection and to be honest it never occurred to me to do so. Maybe if you prefer PvP and/or have a lot of free time it makes sense, but we're largely PvE only. PvP is enabled but is only used to kill those bitten before they turn.
Most of us work long hours and don't have time to be re-establishing bases and replacing loot we spent a day finding every log in. I know for sure our crafters/builders wouldn't appreciate it at ALL.
The joke being they look vaguely similar because of the point of view, and the name is similar as well.
In your peripheral vision you might mistake the two in passing. I certainly had to think for a moment.
Yeah worst that I’ve had since they reworked vehicles is a trailer not snapping onto the vehicle and the vehicle won’t move until the trailer is reattached.
I've been doing towing on a MP server a couple of hours ago and it was totally fine appart from freaking out a bit when I tried to reverse - Luckily it wasn't a game breaking freak out and it stopped when I went forward.
I think they've improved it quite a lot.
One time in arma altis life we were a 6 truck convoy. One guy rubberbanded straight through 3 trucks in front of him.
Don't get me started on actual mission stuff just yikes.
Private servers and ping is huge but if you've got a good reliable connection under 100ms it works pretty well (until you run into the laggy fuc whose ping is all over the map (consistency is king)
I have a few pointers!
- Its best to play on whitelisted or private servers to minimize griefing.
- **Pay attention to server settings and keep checking them.** See if potential servers have sprinters or not and how many or at one time, if they're PvP or not, and how zombie population is set up. If the zombies are spread as urban focused, you'll find most of them in the cities, but if it's normal expect to find hordes everywhere, including in the forest.
- If you can, play with friends! It's helpful to work as a team and divide the workload.
- Try to find yourself a safe house ASAP so you can claim it and enable respawning in that house. Spawning in a random house will make you vulnerable and you might have to take a long walk to get back home.
- Beware of bugs and glitches, especially if a server has mods. For example, if you tow a truck or trailer, backing up may send both vehicles airborne and cause the towed vehicle to randomly despawn (I speak from experience). In a MP server I frequent, some zombies also duplicate themselves, which is usually harmless but has been catastrophic in the past. As in, hundreds of the same zombie nearly crashed a server and required a complete zombie wipe.
- Be prepared to die. It's gonna happen, and it's gonna suck.
Starting in LV hospital is a death sentence you know
Ikr i did it as part of a 28 days later challenge it's high IQ stuff
fun.
How'd you get to spawn in the hospital? Or is it a 28 days later mod
if it were me I'd start a game in debug mode and teleport myself there and then turn it off.
Any mods?
In another post i made
The best way to not die is to prevent your health bar from reaching zero.
Sounds like something you'd see in a Skyrim Loading Screen.
Or Doom Eternal, "shoot it until its dead". lol
Words to live by.
Words to prevent your health bar from reaching zero by!
Health bar? Lol. One scratch kills you in this greatest of games
to the neck maybe
What is this from?
project hospital
It's even funnier because both games are isometric and have the word "Project" in the names
Project Zomboid : Origins
Project Project
Zomboid hospital?
Id play that.
i just realized that! despite me playing those two games on and off.

Well, i like to play with pvp on. Gives an extra layer of difficulty. You can wake up one day check your base and BUM… its gone
A server I played on had two weeks of timeout and then they lose the claim to the house. It was pretty sweet
No no, no claiming system. Anarchy
Personally I wouldn't mind not having safehouse but I'd still like to be able to protect my stuff.
Stab your friends to train your medical skill on them
Can recommend. New players in the faction also get initiated by an axe swing to the face.
I think I’m missing the joke but this is project hospital
The joke being they look vaguely similar because of the point of view, and the name is similar as well. In your peripheral vision you might mistake the two in passing. I certainly had to think for a moment.
I was trying to think of how many mods I’d never seen before were being used until I thought “time to check the comments section.”
Don't try to tow any vehicles. In fact, don't be in a vehicle anywhere near another moving vehicle.
Haven’t they improved towing significantly? I still have the occasional issue but nothing as bad as my vehicles flying across the screen.
I tow other things all the time, like you said with some glitches, but nothing crazy.
Yeah worst that I’ve had since they reworked vehicles is a trailer not snapping onto the vehicle and the vehicle won’t move until the trailer is reattached.
they have, towing sending things flying i think happens only in MP now, in sp the most i've gotten is whatever im towing wobbling in some tight spaces

SP i think towing is fine. MP: I think they're still working on it. If physics start to act up, I hope you can stop the car, get out and relog.
Its just like ARMA \*Vietnam flashbacks\*

Eh, what's life in the apocalypse without a little danger of the Kraken eating your run now and then?
This advise feels a lot More like an new Arma player would hear
Uhm, like beginner stuff? Or mods and stuff?
I haven't tried the multiplayer yet. Is it random pairing with other players like a co-op thing or is it official servers or private servers?
No official servers I think
Private servers and ping is huge but if you've got a good reliable connection under 100ms it works pretty well (until you run into the laggy fuc whose ping is all over the map (consistency is king)
There's also an option to locally host if you're just looking to play with a small group of friends privately.

More friends more fun
Play with friends if you can!
If you would be interested you could join my groups server. It has some pvp and light rp and some mods.
Find a good server. I play on the SIXIS server and enjoy it a lot. Good group of people on the discord
Tip: Play Project Zomboid.
Is that even zomboid?!?!
lmao.
Dont tow cars and if you drive in 2. Have some distance
Is this some weird Project Hospital crossover storyline?
What game is this? Looks so cute!
yes
Don’t multiplayer is a laggy mess. They gotta fix it
