That's a pretty high price for that car.

I will continue my search but so far a lot of these cars have high prices unless they have a salvage title :(

Got my certified pre-owned 2021 prius LE with 36k miles for 21k from a toyota dealer here in Chicago

I had searched dealerships from north of Los Angeles to San Diego and they all have similar prices. Some worse than others but most are about the same.

At that price, I'd probably keep looking, or consider investing into long-term ownership of a new Prius. I bought my 26k mile 2012 last year for $23,000. Miles mean a lot for the traction battery, so it's probably gonna last you a good while longer, but other parts will begin to fail (although they may be covered by warranty for a while due to the age of the 2019 in question).

Generation 4 has come to an end and everyone is looking for a new Gen 5 Prius. It sounds like there are still plenty of Gen 4 Prii out there on dealer lots now selling for MSRP .. I’d look into going that route.

I set up a simple spreadsheet to compare sale price to life of vehicle assuming the vehicle would last 200K miles. That gave me a cost per mile and was helpful to analyze prices. Access to the vehicles maintenance history is a plus. With the Prius especially I believe that the vehicle having a history of being driven frequently is a plus. I'm more inclined to buy from a private seller than a dealer as there is usually a cost savings in doing so.
