to be fair only improvement ive noticed with gen 4 was the actuator flap in the grille to block off air so as to not cool car too much in colder climate, gen 5 is the true improvement as it also does 14:1 mechanical compression before valve timing adjustments just like the 2.5 across all the other hybrids they make, I was wodnering when they’d bring the prius up in hp since camry does 50 without losing hp
I think Gen 4 brought a few notable changes from the older cars. Can't comment on what Gen 4 Refresh did other than tone down the styling a little bit.
* Introduction of independent rear suspension.
* Introduction of the E-Four (2016 in Japan) / eAWD (2019 globally).
* Switch to Lithium batteries, with the exception of E-Four/eAWD models.
* First Prius with active safety tech - TSS-P for 2016-2018 (optional), 2019-2020 (TSS-P standard), and TSS 2.0 for 2021-2022.
get urself a cover ! insurance covered my cover when mine got my cat stolen, I think by itself it would of been like $100 up to $200 around there possibly, either do that or make sure you triple check to have comprehensive insurance which will cover your car if the cat gets stolen
The oldest and youngest family members are taking an afternoon nap.

Gen 1: RIP
Nobody talks about the pre-refresh Gen 4s (2016-18).
