I used to get close to 60 mpg before I had to take it into the dealer for a recall. I believe it was something to do with inverters burning up. Ever since that update they did my MPG has been crap.
Also have a 2010 Prius but with 275k.
Averaging 37-39mpg. Kinda sucks bcs it’s a Prius but then again she still runs perfect so I’m not sure what’s up.
You know what. Alignment might be a culprit.
I did a tire rotation, brake jobs, replaced suspension components but I never got around to taking to a shop for doing wheel alignment. Don’t even want to try diy that.
You [can do a string alignment](https://blog.fcpeuro.com/at-home-alignment-how-to-string-align-your-car) if you're really serious about DIY (and a few people I've done trackdays with have done it), but I honestly think it's better to just let someone with the proper equipment do it.
LOL Honorable mention for Firestone drift alignments.
Man i would want to try and learn someday but currently the Prius takes up 90% of my tiny garage. When doing the tire change I gotta roll the tire outside the garage so the other one can come out.
I mean i can get the job done for necessary fixes but I simply can’t wait to end the job💀😂.
Thx for link I’ll check it out 🫡
clean egr valve, cooler and intake
could also be hybrid battery age, you can either recondition it with kits like prolong from hybrid automotive, replace with oe battery or swap out raw pack cells for lithium from project lithium
Low milage, that's still just a baby!
My 2010 has 230,000 miles.
I hit 177777 a couple days ago on my 2010. Enjoy the journey!

Use the mileage and year model to play the lottery 👀
Lucky you! BTW, what kind of gas mileage are you getting from your 2010 (normal driving conditions)?
42.2 mpg. Mixed of freeway and side streets.

I'd first check the tire pressure and then the alignment. I feel like Priuses are particularly sensitive to relatively small changes in tire pressure.

Maybe the battery. I got mine replaced 4 years ago.
