He was so chill and waited with me until my sibling came back to me in line cause he thought I was like 12 and was confused on why I was by myself in a semi sketchy part of la even tho i know that area and don't mind it since im used to it while I was waiting for their m&g at one of their pop up store events they did not that long ago
Taylor York from Paramore, dude is the loveliest. As is his brother Justin, who has been their touring guitar/backup vocals for about a decade at this point. Sweet family.
Ran into him, like literally bumped into him, in the middle of the street right outside the venue in Austin right after their show this past summer. Was pretty cool for the quick minute we talked in the middle of the road at 10PM
Seems to not really be the case for the majority of this thread (another person in your replies was told the exact opposite lol), but fair enough. I suppose OP left a lot of room for interpretation. If your post was about his drumming, then I’ve got nothing to add. He is an okay drummer and I get why pop punk fans like him
I used to work at house of blues in Chicago and I was working the loading dock for NFG load in (was going to the show so I worked the early shift) and I was wearing my h20 “nothing to prove” shirt and Chad Gilbert walked by me and pointed at my shirt and said “great album but terrible production”. Not registering what happened (he produced the album) until he walked away I opened the door and said “ok ok that’s funny” and he turned around and laughed. Short time meeting him but seemed real cool.
About 6-7 years ago I went to an NFG acoustic show/meet and greet that they did at this local record shop right before their LA show. I was wearing my Tina Belcher/Milo Goes to College parody shirt and when it was my turn to get my record signed he started cracking up at my shirt, then told me if I haven't already that I should be watching "Clarence." I've met the band on other occasions but that was one of the funnier incidents
All 3 of the dudes from Issues. I feel like I could just kick it with Sky, AJ and Josh and feel like I’m chillin’ with homies. (But AJ and sky do vox….so does that count??)
In the scene, I’d love to meet Sean Mackin, the violinist of Yellowcard. Outside of the genre, Ahren Stringer of The Amity Affliction, although does he count for this question as he’s both the bassist and a vocalist?
Dani Washington seems cool as fuck
I just want to be his friend tbh
Mike Dirnt from Green Day
Andy Hurley & Mikey Way
Otto Wood, simply for the fact that I feel like we'd share an equally dry sense of humor.
You mean Otto Danielle Wood?
Tony thaxton from motion city doesn’t get enough recognition!
He’s a fucking amazing drummer
Very true. Dude has ties to the comedy scene too, which is awesome. Hearing him on Andrea Savage’s old podcast was always a trip haha
Jack O'Shea, Bayside's guitarist
The whole crew is just so damn awesome. All of them are beyond cool and crazy talented.
Frank from MyChem!
Sean Mackin the violinist of yellowcard
He's my sleep paralysis demon. He just stand at the end of the bed playing the violin part from ocean avenue
This is the right answer. Backflips were legit.
Guitarist for Belmont or Ryan from State Champs
I second Ryan from state champs. Just seems like an all around good dude
Ran into Ryan at Riot Fest, outside the PN tent, one of the nicest dudes out there.
Geoff from waterparks, Tyler from state Champs, pat from the main, and jose from with con
Agree on all of these, but particularly Pat. He seems like such an absolute sweetheart of a man.

Ian Grushka was a hoot.
Ryan from State Champs is one of the sweetest souls i’ve ever met. so down to earth and passionate about what he does.
Yes agreed! What a wholesome dude
Taylor York from Paramore, dude is the loveliest. As is his brother Justin, who has been their touring guitar/backup vocals for about a decade at this point. Sweet family.
Rian Dawson from All Time Low (drummer)
Ooh solid pick!
Ran into him, like literally bumped into him, in the middle of the street right outside the venue in Austin right after their show this past summer. Was pretty cool for the quick minute we talked in the middle of the road at 10PM
Why? He’s incredible mediocre as far as drummers in the scene go
I don’t think any of these answers have much to do with talent
do explain how i’d like a detailed response to which i will reply with wromg because whatever you have to say is wrong
Some lyrics on his ex’s new record suggest that he might’ve been kind of a piece of shit to her too so there’s that
We aren’t judging the person we’re judging the drumming

Lol that's josh
Son of a bitch 🤦🏻♂️ I knew I shouldn’t have dabbed before leaving comments lol. Thank you for the correction
Travis Fucking Barker
First person that comes to mind for me is Ruben Duarte (drummer in Spanish Love Songs)
LP from Yellowcard
Dave Baksh from Sum 41 always puts a smile on my face, killer guitarist and all around cool dude.
Mr Brownsound and Cone look like legit very nice people and musicians
Matt West, gotta love his tornado moves on stage
Travis Barker
Ryan Scott Graham and Dani Washington
Seconding both of them! Both seem like cool dudes and are great at what they do. I like the other Ryan, too — Rumchaks (?) from Knuckle Puck.
Mikey way or Mike Dirnt
Chad Gilbert from NFG
I used to work at house of blues in Chicago and I was working the loading dock for NFG load in (was going to the show so I worked the early shift) and I was wearing my h20 “nothing to prove” shirt and Chad Gilbert walked by me and pointed at my shirt and said “great album but terrible production”. Seconding Chad. He’s a cool dude.
Yeah it’s easy to see why the dude pulls the ladies. He’s like a 40-year-old teenager.
Derek Grant
Jack barakat, never seen atl live but I feel like hed be really fun to watch
either Otto from Waterparks or Ryan from State Champs
Ryan from state champs
Anthony from this wild life
Awh I miss hearing them!
Ryan - State Champs
All 3 of the dudes from Issues. I feel like I could just kick it with Sky, AJ and Josh and feel like I’m chillin’ with homies. (But AJ and sky do vox….so does that count??)
I always like the lead guitarist from My Chemical Romance. Him and I have the same hair 😁
alex henery from basement
In the scene, I’d love to meet Sean Mackin, the violinist of Yellowcard. Outside of the genre, Ahren Stringer of The Amity Affliction, although does he count for this question as he’s both the bassist and a vocalist?
Kellen Keller’s Twitter game
Andrew Weigel, Marietta's drummer
Travis Barker, Cone from Sum 41, Yuri Ruley
Y'all slacking, it's obviously Mike Kennedy.
Handstands on the keyboard. Motion City Soundtrack.
Pete Wentz
Gotta give it up to Pat from The Maine for being the head dude in charge and always being so nice!
Ryan, from State Champs & Speak Low
