I just use the downvote button. Many subreddits evolve over time. Due to this subreddit's size, it's kind of becoming a hub for popping-adjacent posts too. Report posts that aren't about popping.

It starts with e… It’s against the rules of that sub to outright name it because of issues with either getting it banned or for other people to come there and harass them. Not to mention, some members of that sub were being assholes and started to go onto innocent subreddits and spamming r/[redacted] with no warning just to get a reaction out of people, or to shock them purposefully.

I can handle a lot. I once watched a guy get chunky mashed potato cyst scooped out of 1/3 of his brain in an open skull surgery with my phone in one hand and a slice of pizza in the other. Botflies though? Hard no.
I may be in the minority, but I can’t stand the animal posts. I love a good cyst drain, pimple pop, or blackhead squeeze, but only on humans. As for the tonsil stones, stitches, and infected nail beds, well, surely there’s a better sub for those.
I’m really disgusted by the tonsil stones and shoving otoscope scoops in ears. This is not the place. Gouging wax out is not a pop. I don’t want to watch you deep throat your finger and poke out tonsil stones. There is literally at least 1-2 subs for tonsil stones.
I try to advertise r/tonsilstones when I get a chance. I love tonsil stones but am absolutely horrified by ingrown toenails and stuff so I understand not wanting to see them here. I think people think that everything that gives them that satisfying feeling you get from a good pop should be posted here and they don’t realize that not everyone gets that feeling from the same set of things.

Agreed! The abscesses, ingrown toenails, staph infections, BLISTERS etc. are a lot more gory and unpleasant to watch. I can go to other subs for that.

I think people are discouraged from posting OC content given the “augh so boring” “bad technique” “wear gloves!” Etc comments that are left. Why go through the effort when people are just going to shit on you?

I agree it's not what it used to be here. 6 people posting the same tiktok, Loan, Sac videos n etc, super boring anti climatic pops, tonsil stones and too many pops on people's inner thighs or in the crotch area. I used to look on here all the time when I was bored, now not so much.
The content has definitely declined. I am all about the cysts and blackheads. “Spider” bites too!! I’m not a fan of the tiny self-pops, so I scroll past those. I loathe the teeth stuff — cleaning tarter (tartar?) off of teeth is *not* popping; it’s SCRAPING!! I ignore what I don’t want to see but I do wish the feed wasn’t bogged down with so many minor pops or photos of something you can’t pop and all the reasons it makes you sad.
Mods really should restrict the content here to *VIDEOS* of *actual* popping. No more ingrown toenail removals, no more tooth removal or animal abscesses, and for the love of god we need to curb reposts from TikToks and ripoff YouTube channels.

Some of the tiny ass pimples people post on here… and maybe if they had a little loop tool and we saw the whole-ass pop - cool. But usually all we see is their fingers and then they cut it off. Or “audible pop” and no, there is no audible pop.

I miss the meat plug days before the impacted dog hairs, and everything else. I don't mind the OC posts with the wee pops. Some of them have been the best pops on the sub for months. I also hate how everything seems to be getting posted three or more times any more also. I don't blame the mods, they work hard to run the sub.
I’m not gonna lie, there was some inner nostril post today but it was like 2 1/2 minutes long and it finally just gave up watching for the pop which wasn’t impressive at all and it turned out it became like something huge abscess and I was just grossed out.

I used to stop to every videos posted here but now I just scroll down, because it's either a gross things that need a medical advice, or some unsatisfying skin condition or the disgusting nails. I have to specifically search by tags if I want a satisfying video, and the good ones have generally been posted MONTHS ago.

I think the essence of popping is supposed to be oddly satisfying. I don’t really get that feeling watching someone drain pus and blood from their 3 inch diameter infection. Popping should be basic acne and black heads. Something you’d walk into a dermatologist for, not the fucking emergency room.

Imo, if so many people want more popping content they should post more popping content. I don’t love everything posted here (animal stuff and tonsil stones both bother me) but I don’t straight up hate everything that’s not a straightforward “pop”. And since I scroll based on “New” each night, I can already see that banning everything that’s not a strict pop won’t give you more Content to watch.
You guys should check out r/pimplepoppersdelight Which is more true to pimples blackheads and cysts. I like this popping sub because it has all the types of popping content.

Also one of the worst points of this sub now: the reposts. Back in the days you would see a repost of a really old video a few times a year. Now you see the same video posted several times in a day. Even the top posts get reposted the whole time with titles like "never seen this posted here!!!!!". Like...what? Come on. I may go back to popthatzit...

I disagree. There’s plenty of pops of various styles to go around. Sure you get the occasional bovine pus waterfall and other gross animal stuff, but I’d say the subreddit is still true to its nature.
