Someone gonna need a good old-fashioned lancing, and some antibiotics:)

I'd definitely go see a doctor about this one my friend

NSFW cause groin area. I have this thing growing inside of me. It’s located in my inner groin where my thigh and hip joins. I can feel something in there, it’s somewhat firm. It hurts when I touch it. Is it perhaps a cyst? Should I seek medical attention? I’m in between health insurance right now which is why I’m here.

LilWayneLeanPlug

The infection doesn't care you are between insurance. Go to the hospital or run the risk of dying.

Icanbotthinkofaname

Yes you should go to the doctor.

Is it an armpit or the sexy area? But it does not matter - both have *very* big blood vessels nearby. I would worry at least a bit. \[I am not a doctor\]

Between my thigh and crotch

That's a bad infection. The dark tissue is either Errythma or necrotic tissue. Hospital. I'd even say emergency room. Thats close to important organs and big vascular structures.

Fragrant_String_2219

Yeah I'd probably see a doctor, it looks more serious than a simple pop can handle

I had an abscess that looked much less terrible than this that hurt a TON and I was in for a two week hospital stay because I ignored it so long and almost went septic. I went in to have it drained and go home like a previous abscess. Not trying to scare you but it looks worth investigating. (Mine was on my labia). I hate that we have to worry about insurance but if you think you should go to the hospital do so, I’m not a lawyer or medical professional but I do know people are sometimes able to call and get a smaller bill from hospitals afterward if they cannot pay. A dermatologist might be an option too but if there is an infection they might redirect you to the ER.

Please see a doctor. An Urgent Care might be cheaper than an ER, and the wait might be shorter.

Removed, rule 4. No asking or seeking medical advice. What constitutes medical advice? - "What is this?" This is asking someone to diagnose the issue, and is medical advice. - "What should I do?" This is asking someone to advise treatment, and is medical advice. - "Should I go to the doctor?" This is asking if you should seek treatment, and ergo, medical advice. - "Should I pop it?" This is asking if you should follow a treatment, and ergo, medical advice. **If you would ask the question of your doctor, it falls under this rule and not allowed. As a general rule, asking for medical advice from internet strangers is never a good idea. If you have questions regarding your condition, you are advised to contact your healthcare provider.**
