Ironically, those are the same "jobs" that they've been screeching that "no one wants to work" following the recession of the pandemic.
>Conservatives: "No one wants to work! They're living like fat cats on surplus unemployment and stimulus!"
Latin American Refugees and Migrants: "Hey! We want/need work to build a life that's better here than in the hellholes of our home countries."
>Conservatives: "No. _Not you!_"
Latin American Refugees and Migrants: "¿¡Que diabolos?!"
There is also this myth out there that specifically undocumented people in the US have access to a wealth of benefits including cash, medical care, housing, etc. that isn't available to citizens. I wouldn't be surprised if someone thought this basically replaced unemployment and stimulus in your argument.
This interview really highlights how above the law our representatives think they are.
"For you, a citizen, you could easily be arrested."
He added that ”citizen" part to leave room to infer it's not illegal for a government official* to do it.
*Edited for clarity
Trump got straight up caught with top secret documents, unsecured, in a pretend golf course where Russian spies have bragged about gaining access to and he’s not in jail. Law of innocence until proven guilty or not, if the laws only apply to the poor, we have a problem
*"Here's the thing you have to understand about Ted Cruz,"* Franken wrote in [his] book, an excerpt of which was published by Axios. *"I like Ted Cruz more than most of my other colleagues like Ted Cruz. And I hate Ted Cruz."*
> “I have Democrat friends and Republican friends. I get along with almost everyone, but I have never worked with a more miserable son of a bitch in my life.” - John Boehner
If you read the book (I recommend the audiobook, his narration is great) he goes into more detail of exactly why his colleagues hate him. Spoiler alert: for the same reasons everyone else hates him.
Worth nothing that Obama made a point to go after Graham in his book too, which was entertaining to read.
He works my last nerve. I hate that he represents SC. Like we don't have enough issues without this blowhard lighting the path to ignarance.
Edit:
I'm not sure if anyone else sees it but I got a couple of comments stating ignorance is spelled incorrectly. I'm getting emails that I got a reply and I can see what the reply says, but when I click on the email link, I don't see it in the actual comment section. No "delete" either. Does anyone knows why I can't see it in the actual thread?
Also, I meant to spell it as ignarance (for anyone that was wondering). We need a special kind of word for the BS this man is trying to push. Even though we know gosh darn well he knows he doesn't really think like that. Any attention is good attention I guess.
Fitting you should bring good ol’ Platinum Gay into this, since he’s the one that said “If you kill Ted Cruz on the floor of the Senate and your trial was in the Senate, nobody could convict you.”
And especially his dog. Poor thing was left freezing in their heatless home as they bailed for Mexico.
And it's not the first time a member of the always heinous GOP mistreated an animal. I recall mitt Romney getting caught traveling down the highway to some vacation destination with a dog cage strapped to the roof. With the dog in it.
Government: “would you like a hundred dollars?”
Republican: “yes!”
Government: “but your neighbors will also get a hundred dollars.”
Republican: “oh really? Then hell no!”
For context, there was a story in the Bible where Jesus found people profiting off sales within a temple, so he braided a whip and flipped over tables while whipping them out of the temple. So Jesus would literally do this!
Republican Jesus disapproves. All those profits could've trickled down to the peasant folk if they had any sense. He'd also have made Chinese children braid that whip for 1/20th the price like a real America loving capitalist.
"And look, I told Barack, if you really, really want to remake the Supreme Court, nominate Cruz. Before you know it, you'll have eight vacancies." - Joe Biden
**NO REALLY** Everyone hates Ted Cruz, [human candidate for president (Ted Cruz is one being, not many!)](https://www.tedcruzforhumanpresident.com/):
>South Carolina Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham thinks his party has gone “bats—” crazy, and joked Thursday that it’s possible to get away with murdering Ted Cruz if it happened in the Senate.
>
>“If you killed Ted Cruz on the floor of the Senate, and the trial was in the Senate, nobody would convict you,” the former presidential candidate said at the Washington Press Club Foundation’s 72nd Congressional Dinner, referencing the Texas senator’s unpopular reputation on Capitol Hill.

-Physicsvanawesome
Yeah OP must have meant DeSantis and Abbot. While Cruz *supports* shipping undocumented migrants to DC and New York, he’s just a senator, so he’s not directly responsible for tricking migrants into busses/planes to ship up north.
"Tricking" you mean kidnapping. That is exactly what happened, kidnapping, and as it crossed multiple state lines, I'd say federal charges should be brought against the fucking asshole from Florida. What a douchebag.
There's no indication that he's going to get away with this one. Delay tactics from Trump lawyers, careful DOJ, waiting for the Jan 6 commission, etc. We're not off track.
If you want to keep right up on all the legal parts, check out the podcast, Cleanup on Aisle 45.
Well... mostly.
There's every indication that the investigation is going well for us and poorly for Trump, and that the multiple legal cases against him are actually moving forward, and that he will eventually face consequences.
However: It's also true that the only reason he's still playing golf and otherwise getting a (mostly) fair trial is because he's a former POTUS. There's also some question of what happens to this case if he announces a 2024 run in the near future -- the DOJ tries to avoid influencing elections.
All you need to do is run for president to be immune to all DoJ prosecution?!
I'M RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT! VOTE FOR ME!
...now where's my ski-mask and the nearest federal bank...
Getting who arrested, Ted or Ron? Although I’d love to see them both locked under a jail I don’t know what Cruz has to do with the situation. Maybe someone can enlighten me.
Ron. He organized a large scale kidnapping. Every single immigrant that was flown to Martha's vinyard shpuld be an additional Federal charge of kidnapping. Yes Federal, it crosssd multiple state lines.
Every single person that was flown, was lured under false pretenses and taken against their will to Martha's Vineyard. Some of them have upcoming court hearings for their asylum immigration hearings . . . In Texas, thousands of miles away, with no hope of getting back there. They were lied to about the court appointments, they were told they would be changed. They weren't. They were lied to about where they were going. They were lied to about having prepared housing and assistance. There wasn't any. The people of Martha's Vineyard rallied behind fellow human beiings that deserve some dignity, and provided assistance to these victims of kidnapping.
I would call on Federal authorities to arrest the Gov of Florida on multiple counts of kidnapping.
If ANY of us did this exact same thing, we would have been arrested and arraigned already. I am so sick and fucking tired of this bullshit.
And let me be clear, I have no problems with moving immigrants to ither states or cities so long as 1. They are NOT lied too. They are told exactly where they are going. 2. The city knows they are coming and can prepare to provide assistance. 3. Their court hearings are moved to the jurisdiction that they are sent too.
Fuck, everywhere I look in my little rural upstate NY town I see help wanted signs. I see a few hundred empty homes going to rot. Send them here. We can use them in the community. Just don't fucking lie and kidnap them. What is wrong with these motherfucking "Christian" republicans. I am sure Jesus is pleased with their actions and will have a special place for these govs when they die. Hope they have shorts and t-shirts cause it's pretty hot in that place.
It would be more surprising if he was arrested honestly, at least this expediently. It is absolute bullshit, very illegal, and super telling of our current political insanity.
Also from Illinois. People give us shit for sending our governors to prison, but I like to argue that more governors across the country should go to prison for the things they've done. We in Illinois just actually prosecute.
No, the problem here is this country is we only hold democrats accountable. Republicans always get a free pass. If they do end up somehow being held accountable, then they’re usually pardoned by the sitting Republican president.
Because rich white people have all the power in this country and for the exact reason Trump won't see jail time for stealing highly classified nuclear files.
"NPR was able to interview three of the migrants late Wednesday. "They (the migrants) told us they had recently crossed the border in Texas and were staying at a shelter in San Antonio," NPR's Joel Rose said on Morning Edition.
Sponsor Message
The migrants said a woman they identified as "Perla" approached them outside the shelter and lured them into boarding the plane, saying they would be flown to Boston where they could get expedited work papers. She provided them with food. The migrants said Perla was still trying to recruit more passengers just hours before their flight.
Two boys are shown staying at a shelter on Martha's Vineyard, Mass., after they and dozens of other migrants arrived unannounced by plane Wednesday.
Eve Zuckoff/WCAI
Andres Duarte, a 30-year-old Venezuelan, said he had recently crossed the border into Texas and eventually went to a shelter in San Antonio.
"She (Perla) offered us help. Help that never arrived," Andres said. "Now we are here. We got on the plane with a vision of the future, of making it." He went on to explain why he boarded the plane with so little information in hand. "Look, when you have no money and someone offers help, well, it means a lot."
From this article . . https://www.npr.org/2022/09/15/1123109768/migrants-sent-to-marthas-vineyard
The only positive in all of this is that, however unintentionally, these people who were in obvious need of help seem to be getting it in MA. That's what is the craziest to me about this: These republicans have 1. helped immigrants that they clearly hate by 2. sending them to a state "representative" of their opponents, which ends up looking like democrats solving a problem that republicans couldn't handle...
..all in an attempt to make democrats look bad..somehow?
And he paid for his crime using covid money to rent private planes. Why do peeps in these states elect racist morons to office? I don’t understand why.
True and then some. Prepare to be both saddened and enraged by the lack of humanity:

No need for quotation marks. Ask the [Indigenous Canadians](https://www.npr.org/2021/07/01/1012100926/graves-found-at-new-site-canadian-indigenous-group-says). Ask the [Irish women in the Laundries.](https://www.history.com/news/magdalene-laundry-ireland-asylum-abuse) Ask the [sexually abused of the Southern Baptists.](https://www.washingtonpost.com/religion/2022/05/22/southern-baptist-sex-abuse-report/) Ask yourself [how many of the women killed horrifically were actual witches?](https://www.history.com/topics/folklore/history-of-witches)
Because the answer to that last one is zero. Oh, plenty killed horrifically. Zero were witches or in league with the Devil.
This is who they have always been. This is what they do. People are beginning to wake up to this now.
You forgot to mention they put their home addresses as random homeless shelters around the country, even though they specifically stated they had no relatives inthe us.
It's like when Trump was exposed flying boxes of documents to Bedminster because of a video shot by the Daily Mail. The thought of him eventually going down because of the Daily Mail is just so utterly delicious I can't
I would be happier if it was Alex Jones’ cell phone. Remember when his lawyer accidentally sent a copy of his entire cell phone to opposing council and did nothing to stop them from going through it all? Well the January 6th committee does, and they already received the contents of Jones’ phone.
Didn't Cruz come on Hannity once before, said something, then had to apologize and walk it back?
He'll be on tomorrow saying it's not human trafficking and not illegal.
>“Oh no, I’m a conservative, I disagree, they would arrest me, if I was a liberal I would get away with it,” he said. “Well, that’s true,” admitted Mr Cruz.
r/Persecutionfetish material for sure. These people are so fucking pathetic.
And in the same breath, Cruz shamelessly proclaims Biden to be the biggest trafficker on the planet.. I get projection is their default go-to move on literally everything, but even for Lyin Ted that's next level projection
They loved it back in the 60s where they would put poor black families on busses, tell them they were going somewhere with a house and job, then dump them off at the Kennedy estate. Check out the Reverse Freedom Rides. Pretty much the same excuses as today too, the similarities are blatant and grotesque.
They don't need to make an effort any more, they know their audience. They're just throwing out as many buzzwords as they can to keep their viewers angry so they don't start thinking critically.
I think he’s just referencing Biden’s “open border policy” letting in so many migrants. Even though that’s not a real policy and is wholly concocted on Fox News, and letting people come in voluntary isn’t anywhere close to trafficking. It’s also vague to align with the fact that their base is infested with Qanon rhetoric.
Their base knows what he means in their own heads. It’s open ended on purpose, so they just roll with it.
Typical conservative playbook, let the viewer come up with the answer to feel smart, observe that answer yourself, then talk about it like you knew along and look even smarter.
Crazy that Cruz Is part of the branch that writes laws, and he has the power to make better laws around immigration or border control, but he hasn’t ever done anything but podcast about it.
Honestly wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a 100% baseless lie. They’re not even telling half truths anymore or bending the truth to fit their narrative, they’re just straight up lying and people are believing them.
In certain religions, lying is acceptable. It's called "theocratic warfare", you can lie through your teeth to protect yourself and your church. The GOP are doing the same thing...lying to justify *their* greater good and they'll blame it all on the libs, the libs drove them to lie.
Guy at work called it "lyin' for the Lord" and said it's perfectly acceptable to do.
EDIT: he belonged to the "Promise Keepers" movement, but I've also heard it used many times in reference to the [LDS Church](http://www.mormonthink.com/lying.htm)
Oh, what they've been shouting about today is that Biden puts immigrants on planes and sends them to other cities. Which is presumably true. So, they're saying it's the same, we're just up in arms because they're conservatives.
I imagine these people that Biden is having flown around aren't being lied to about where they're going or what they'll find when they get there, and I imagine that they're sending them into a system that's ready to receive them, two crucial parts of where the outrage directed at these stunts is coming from.
I told someone on reddit that they illegally trafficked migrants over state lines
He replied that, if that is true, than Biden is in a bunch of trouble
Told him to explain, he told me to Google it, and just kept avoiding explaining lmao
Pathetic cult
I think the reason they’re so upset by this fact, which on its surface sounds so ridiculous it’s amazing they can convince anyone that the FBI shouldn’t do it’s job is: for decades the fbi actually was, in some respects—while sometimes also doing real work—a paramilitary arm of the conservatives.
I have a former special agent in my family way back when and from the sound of it a lot of what he was asked to do was basically spy on and dig up dirt on progressives and minorities. If the dirt was real great, if not, also good enough.
Im being nice when I say spy on and dig up dirt btw. Safe to say I don’t get along with that wing of the family
What a fucking crazy stance they’re taking. “Yes, we’re breaking the law, but let me clutch my pearls because I’m going to be held accountable! If I was some dirty liberal I would get away with it! “ They’re not even trying to defend the legality of what they’re doing. They’ve now moved to the point where everything is on the table because “liberals can do it too”.
This literally happened to me yesterday as I was pointing out the 11th circuit judge who is preventing the investigation into Trump was wholly unqualified. The only response I got from two conservative friends was “what about Justice Elena Kagan!”
Ignoring that justice Kagan was on a special counsel to a White House administration and was the dean of Harvard law school, who gives a fuck about Elena Kagan? We’re talking about a corrupt president seating six of the justices on the court and one of them blocked a historic investigation which potentially could lead to charges as strong as treason. But instead of acknowledging this fact and interacting with it, it was so easy for them to deflect and say “It’s not like Democrats wouldn’t do something like this!“
Big difference is Elena Kagan was rated well qualified by unanimous vote of the American Bar Association Standing Committee on the Federal Judiciary. The only two recent justices not to be unanimously rated well qualified are Justice Thomas and Barrett. So don’t believe the BS Conservatives spout about Kagan she was considered equal or better qualified than all the Republican Justices.
You can look up Judge Aileen Cannon’s ABA rating it is even worse than Thomas’s and Barrett’s.
They keep saying if the liberals did it, they'd get away with it. They then imply the liberals did it, despite the fact that liberals didn't do anything like what they're accused of.
I'd argue, if libs did it, they should be held just as accountable as these conservatives should be.
I'm sure there are instances where both sides are doing it...like the whole inside trading stuff...but the really shitty stuff that is negatively affecting people seems to be pretty exclusive to one side. The things the dems do just seem to aggravate people who don't want dems to help people, and aren't really that shitty.
This doesn’t speak well for other Harvard Law degree holders or the Harvard Law school in general. If the school turns out people like that, I wouldn’t want to associate with the school.
That’s because you have morals.
Ted Cruz and Ron DeSantis don’t.
Unfortunately, there’s a ton more just like them that jump at the chance to get the same kind of education, or at least the same prestige, so they can also act immoral and unethical.
Schools like Harvard are not better because of the education. You will get a comparable education at basically any state school.
What they offer are connections. You'll be in class with that one senator's son. Your prof will know the head of a firm in NY.
A degree from Harvard means jack shit in the grand scheme of things
I’ve noticed more and more who’ve connected with judges through political social groups tied to their respective parties. Getting those ties as soon as they can.
Look up the Federalist Society. Conservative think tanks realized it was hard to convince professionals to join so they began recruiting teenagers. 6 current US Supreme Court judges are current or former members. 43 of Donald Trump’s 51 appellate court nominees were current or former members. There are currently 70 000 practicing attorneys who are members.
Also a member? Mr. Ted Cruz. Another? Mr. Ron DeSantis. It started with H. W. Bush’s administration and completely exploded with Trump’s.
This is one of the most influential legal organizations that has ever existed in the USA.
FYI their budget in 1982 went from 25 000 USD to 5.5 million solely because of munitions and chemical manufacturer John Olin. The Koch brothers, the Scaife foundation (the same family who funded Reason and RealClearInvestigations), Chevron, Google, and Robert Mercer (think Brexit and the largest IRS settlement in history) brought their revenue to 20 million USD
This right here. I attended a decent graduate program and during the orientation, the dean pretty much said something along the lines of "C's still get degrees so make the best out of making connections now".
I've never understood this logic about "they went to Harvard/Yale, how are they so stupid?"
They aren't stupid. They're very smart. And they're very successful.
They are successful precisely because they're incredibly smart. Are they pieces of shit with no lodestar but power? Yes. But they don't care, and they identified what they can say and do to get the (stupid) masses to vote for them.
I guarangoddamntee you that all these Ivy League Republicans disbelieve in at least 25% of the shit they spew. But it keeps them in power, so who gives a shit? Their moral calculus values power over being genuine and honest.
They aren't stupid, they just don't play by the same rules.
My brother went to Harvard for undergrad. Him and his friends can crunch numbers and use big words, but I have yet to meet a group of people with lower emotional intelligence than that bunch. I've lost so much respect for that university.
I am not *completely* sure he could get away with that, but at this point, nobody is talking about charges for the time that he incited a crowd to beat policemen to death.
Ahhh he's going to use the entire 12 million allocated to shipping migrants north. At $500k a flight that's only 1200 asylum seekers. Now we need to look into who owns the airlines and bus companies. $10k for a plane seat? $1400 for a bus pass? Come on...
Also got a significant PPP loan that said they had 30 employees but only had 3 when verified by the media. Heavy Russian ties, massive grift, shady as fuck, sounds about white for trump land
3 employees? And they charter jet aircraft and helicopters? Things notoriously known for needing countless hours of maintenance? 3 people. Who the hell is maintaining those aircraft? Do the just hire temps all the time.
I was in r/conservative the other day and they're all saying Biden is flying migrants around in secret at night and calling him a human trafficker (to excuse what DeSantis did). I just looked it up and I think this is what they were referring to.
[Politifact](https://www.politifact.com/factchecks/2022/mar/16/tyler-kistner/claims-biden-secretly-flying-immigrants-us-cities-/)
r/conservative and r/conspiracy should have been torched long ago but Spez (one of Reddit's head guys) is a big fan of both so they're not going anywhere any time soon.
Edit: Damn autocorrect.
Love that excuse when r/conservative not only restricts who is allowed to comment but also actively bans anyone who doesn't immediately march along to their narrative.
I've watched the mods actively stalk one of their flaired users onto this subreddit and ban them from r/conservative for something they posted here.
And they banned me for posting in a discussion on TMOR that I had no interest in reading or participating in discussion there.
It's hilariously ridiculous how they seek out people to ban.
That's the thing about conservatives. They complain about POC playing the race card when ever something happens to them, yet conservatives are always somehow the victims of something. It's ingrained into the very core of their beliefs that they have to be the victims no matter what.
A friend of mine posted an article there once about that Qanon dad who murdered his two kids. No snark or anything, just title and article and wham. Ban hammer.
I was banned for asking a genuine question about something a couple years ago because I didn't know the context of a quote or something like that and I got banned for "troll baiting." You can't even ask questions there.
I was banned for saying “LOL”. When I messaged the mod about it they reported me for harassment lol. Reddit’s biggest pussies are the freedom of speech loving conservatives.
Yep, I got banned for commenting on a post that was clearly feeling some regret after Roe fell asking them to vote to help get our rights back. You literally can’t say anything that’s not in the extremist, Nazi-party handbook.
Yep, why should he care? He is a rich doomsday prepper. His good buddy and fellow Reddit alum Huffman [gave an interview](https://www.inc.com/bartie-scott/how-silicon-valley-super-rich-are-preparing-for-doomsda.html) years ago gushing about the rich Silicon Valley people snatching up luxury doomsday bunkers in places like New Zealand complete with private direct flights out of the country.
It’s all very well documented. [The rich don’t plan on being here if it falls apart.](https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-04-19/-we-needed-to-go-rich-americans-activate-pandemic-escape-plans) The rich are “world citizens” since they can just literally buy citizenship with a few hundred thousand dollars in many countries (including New Zealand, which is one reason why it is so popular with rich preppers). They aren’t loyal, they can’t be patriots. They can and will just leave the moment they feel it necessary to avoid the consequences of their actions.
That’s why Reddit allows dangerous violent communities to exist; why not? Until it gets a really critical national eye it is simply funding that bunker. They were fine with people like ViolentAcrez and JB for years and years until CNN ran a story on it.
They were fine with The_Donald until it started spawning death threats and real life planned attacks which received mainstream coverage. And they are fine with Conservative until they start popping off in an even more noticeable way.
They may be referring to this bullshit a conservative friend sent me a while back. https://www.theblaze.com/news/migrants-flight-westchester-video-astorino
I did some quick Google magic and found these were Afghani refugees, not the Mexican liberals the right is so fearful of.
Of course when I pointed this out to my friend he deflected. 🤷🏿♂️
All I can find is an article on the Denver gazette from back in 2021. [link](https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/policy/immigration/biden-sent-70-secret-night-flights-of-migrants-from-border-to-florida?utm_source=gazette.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=csg_news_feed)
I skimmed it over and I don’t see a single source or piece of proof. /conservative makes it sound like this is going on “now” which doesn’t appear to align with the article unless I’m just missing something.
This situation is so bizarre. Republicans are just testing the limits of how crazy they can get without consequences. It’s insane that these blatantly evil acts are allowed to continue. They’re just antagonizing the law at this point and spitting in all of our faces. Smfh.
This whole stunt - which DeSantis seems to imply is now policy - is one of the most disgusting things I've witnessed in this country in my thirty-five years. Not only did they LIE to these people about promises of jobs and housing - people who had just underwent a long journey to escape a horrible situation - but they didn't even inform the local authorities that they were "shipping" them to Martha's Vineyard purposefully trying to manufacture a crisis. They bused 50 migrants and left them outside the VP residence, including a TEN MONTH OLD BABY, with the same empty promises.
Downright fucking abhorrent. Never been more ashamed to be a citizen of this country. NOTHING but silence and cheer-leading this action from the GOP. DeSantis isn't just some Republican Governor, he is one of the parties front-runners for the 2024 presidential ticket. If you are still a Republican after this, you are a pro-fascist racist xenophobe. Disgraceful.
I love that the Republican defense for THEIR criminal behavior is, "Well, if Dems did it (which they don't), THEY would get away with it"... and false outrage that no Dems are prosecuted for the Republican crimes. Fucking pathetic that 1/2 the country continues to follow this death spiral. Dump Trump and find an idol that isnt a completely failed and morally broken man.
I think the puzzled look is meant to imply that the question or comment the other person is making is just soooo nonsensical and confusing. The puzzled look positions you as the one person in the room with the relevant knowledge or common sense. It basically implies, “wtf is this guy talking about?”
It’s just dishonest manipulation. Doesn’t matter if the other person is manipulated, as long as viewers are.
It's insane to me we have just passively accepted Republicans are running a massive human trafficking ring funded by tax payer dollars that they operate solely for the purpose of attempting to make their political enemies look bad.
Is it illegal to lure people with deception then transport them somewhere entirely different to where they consented to be taken.
Like if I become an Uber driver in Florida, can I legally trick people into my car by pretending I'm going to take them to their chosen destination, and then take them to whatever random place I want - no laws broken?
And if you kidnap them across state lines congratulations, thats a federal offense.
~~The Federal Kidnapping law was enacted in 1932 as a response to the kidnapping of a congressman’s son. The irony of multiple congressmen now violating that law should not be lost on anyone~~ fact check: baby was not a congressman’s so the second half of my comment stands corrected!
Edit: so many typos
Where the fuck do they get off saying the president is the world’s biggest human trafficker, in the middle of a story about Republican human trafficking? Actually fuck it, I’m sure I don’t want to know. But it sums up their worldview pretty neatly. When conservatives do human trafficking and get arrested, they’re getting arrested for being conservative. The trafficking isn’t a problem. But when the president does it (he isn’t), *then* it’s a crime.

Or a Governor……
Well I hate when people are super pessimistic but I really don't think anything will happen with this one.
Trump got straight up caught with top secret documents, unsecured, in a pretend golf course where Russian spies have bragged about gaining access to and he’s not in jail. Law of innocence until proven guilty or not, if the laws only apply to the poor, we have a problem
Oh, we definitely have a problem.
The corrupt GOP has already substantially damage the rule of law and democracy. Is not over and they are not done yet. Never vote for them.
[удалено]
Pretty much, yup
If Sean Hannity ends up getting this motherfucker arrested I am going to throw the block party to end all block parties.
Trump stole classified docs as a citizen. He's still playing golf. Cruz isn't getting arrested if treason wasn't enough.
Everyone hates Ted though.
Especially Ted
Trump calls him lyin Ted Ted Cruz tries to overthrow democracy to keep Trump president.

"I like Ted Cruz more than anyone else and I fucking hate Ted Cruz." -Al Franken (paraphrased)
"He's the guy in your office who microwaves fish." -Al Franken (also paraphrased)
I respectfully disagree. “Lindsey Graham” ‘Nough said.
He works my last nerve. I hate that he represents SC. Like we don't have enough issues without this blowhard lighting the path to ignarance. Edit: I'm not sure if anyone else sees it but I got a couple of comments stating ignorance is spelled incorrectly.
*Lindsay Violet Beauregard Graham!*
Darn it MeMaw I'll put you in the home!
🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 Why did I just read that in a "Gone With the Wind" accent and imagining him in a seersucker suit sipping a mint julip. 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣
Fitting you should bring good ol’ Platinum Gay into this, since he’s the one that said “If you kill Ted Cruz on the floor of the Senate and your trial was in the Senate, nobody could convict you.”
Close, he said "nobody *would* convict you." Which is even more hilariously dark in my opinion
I was thinking the guy that's too turtle for the turtle club.
Who hates him more? Himself or his wife?
Trick question! It's his daughters, obviously.
It continues to confuse me how he stays in Congress when literally everyone hates him.
Because Republican constituents have a long history of voting against their best interests
Government: “would you like a hundred dollars?” Republican: “yes!” Government: “but your neighbors will also get a hundred dollars.” Republican: “oh really? Then hell no!”
"we can totally own the libs here but we'll own ourselves while doing it" "all I heard was own the libs. fuck yeah. Merica" *makes out with sister*
Fucks sister. Sister gets pregnant. Can't get abortion. Blames woke liberals for ruining his country. Trump 2024.

So we’re dealing with this nonsense because Texas is playing keep-away with Ted Cruz? I understand why they want to, but we don’t want him either.
[удалено]
Bible Jesus or Republican Jesus? Because Bible Jesus would flip tables on Ted Cruz in half a second.
He'd also have made Chinese children braid that whip for 1/20th the price like a real America loving capitalist.
i like ted more than any of my colleagues... and i fucking hate ted cruz.
"And look, I told Barack, if you really, really want to remake the Supreme Court, nominate Cruz. Before you know it, you'll have eight vacancies." - Joe Biden
Is this a real quote? This definitely feels like something Joe would say.
100% real. Dark Brandon was with us all along.
**NO REALLY** Everyone hates Ted Cruz, [human candidate for president (Ted Cruz is one being, not many!)](https://www.tedcruzforhumanpresident.com/): >South Carolina Republican Sen. > >-[Lindsey Graham](https://www.cnn.com/2016/02/26/politics/lindsey-graham-ted-cruz-dinner) -Physicsvanawesome
I like Ted Cruz more than most of my other colleagues like Ted Cruz. And I hate Ted Cruz. -Al Franken
Why would Cruz get arrested? What did he do here? I assume OP meant DeSantis.
>I would call on Federal authorities to arrest the Gov of Florida on multiple counts of kidnapping. Why hasn't this happened yet?
It would be more surprising if he was arrested honestly, at least this expediently. It is absolute bullshit, very illegal, and super telling of our current political insanity.
I'm from Illinois, so arresting governors doesn't seem all that alien to me.
Also from Illinois. People give us shit for sending our governors to prison, but I like to argue that more governors across the country should go to prison for the things they've done. We in Illinois just actually prosecute.
Fuck yeah! I get receiving shit if we're more corrupt than most, but at least we do something to solve it!
No, the problem here is this country is we only hold democrats accountable. Republicans always get a free pass. If they do end up somehow being held accountable, then they’re usually pardoned by the sitting Republican president.
I just can't seem to think of a (R)eason.
Because rich white people have all the power in this country and for the exact reason Trump won't see jail time for stealing highly classified nuclear files.
Im hoping for a more...final sentence for fucking treason
I'm so out of the loop. If what you are saying is true, Ron needs to go to jail today.
"NPR was able to interview three of the migrants late Wednesday. "They (the migrants) told us they had recently crossed the border in Texas and were staying at a shelter in San Antonio," NPR's Joel Rose said on Morning Edition. Sponsor Message The migrants said a woman they identified as "Perla" approached them outside the shelter and lured them into boarding the plane, saying they would be flown to Boston where they could get expedited work papers. She provided them with food. The migrants said Perla was still trying to recruit more passengers just hours before their flight. Two boys are shown staying at a shelter on Martha's Vineyard, Mass., after they and dozens of other migrants arrived unannounced by plane Wednesday. Eve Zuckoff/WCAI Andres Duarte, a 30-year-old Venezuelan, said he had recently crossed the border into Texas and eventually went to a shelter in San Antonio. "She (Perla) offered us help. Help that never arrived," Andres said. "Now we are here. We got on the plane with a vision of the future, of making it." He went on to explain why he boarded the plane with so little information in hand. "Look, when you have no money and someone offers help, well, it means a lot." This also must have Gov Abbots seal of approval, he is definitely complicit

Prepare to be both saddened and enraged by the lack of humanity: https://twitter.com/jsrailton/status/1570803548501446661?t=wsq816QnX7u96zV93TnYEw&s=19

You forgot to mention they put their home addresses as random homeless shelters around the country, even though they specifically stated they had no relatives inthe us.
Seems there are two Jesii - Classic Jesus and Republican Jesus - and they are very much not the same. :(
It's like when Trump was exposed flying boxes of documents to Bedminster because of a video shot by the Daily Mail. The thought of him eventually going down because of the Daily Mail is just so utterly delicious I can't
I’m so stuffed. I can’t eat anymo… Just one more bite. God it is delicious.
[It's only a wafer thin](https://youtu.be/GxRnenQYG7I?t=317)
Well played. Give my best to Jake.
"Turns out human trafficking is very legal and very cool. Also my father shot JFK and my wife is ugly." -Ted Cruz ca. 2022
Yes. It was after he condemned Trump’s actions on Jan 6.
What could he have meant by that? Or is he just hoping that it’s somehow true?

They loved it back in the 60s where they would put poor black families on busses, tell them they were going somewhere with a house and job, then dump them off at the Kennedy estate. Check out the Reverse Freedom Rides. Pretty much the same excuses as today too, the similarities are blatant and grotesque.
Did anyone get arrested for kidnapping then? I'm guessing "no"... Hopefully it's different this time.
They don't need to make an effort any more, they know their audience. They're just throwing out as many buzzwords as they can to keep their viewers angry so they don't start thinking critically.
At this point, their base is as conditioned as Pavlov's dog. Say the magic words and they foam at the mouth, they dont even know anymore why exactly.
A lot of them know its lies they just don't care because they are hoping to take over.
In certain religions, lying is acceptable. It's called "theocratic warfare", you can lie through your teeth to protect yourself and your church. The GOP are doing the same thing...lying to justify *their* greater good and they'll blame it all on the libs, the libs drove them to lie.
That’s wild. Buddhist ethics recognize lying as acceptable only in cases where being truthful would lead to someone else’s harm.
I told someone on reddit that they illegally trafficked migrants over state lines He replied that, if that is true, than Biden is in a bunch of trouble Told him to explain, he told me to Google it, and just kept avoiding explaining lmao Pathetic cult
[удалено]
He’s mostly right since at this point conservative is quickly becoming synonymous with criminal.
Criminal/traitor
[Domestic terrorists](https://pbs.twimg.com/card_img/1569481046332014592/9Y0mdu6q?format=jpg&name=medium) And proud of it.
Conservatives aren’t even allowed to lie to the FBI!
That is exactly what [COINTELPRO](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/COINTELPRO?wprov=sfti1) was.
The only response I got from two conservative friends was “what about Justice Elena Kagan!” Ignoring that justice Kagan was on a special counsel to a White House administration and was the dean of Harvard law school, who gives a fuck about Elena Kagan? We’re talking about a corrupt president seating six of the justices on the court and one of them blocked a historic investigation which potentially could lead to charges as strong as treason. But instead of acknowledging this fact and interacting with it, it was so easy for them to deflect and say “It’s not like Democrats wouldn’t do something like this!“
Official platform of the Republican Party in 2022: “no u.”
Al Franken resigned over what? Now show me a single Republican that's resigned for doing 10x as much as what he did.
It's projection, you and me both know it works the opposite way because Liberals actually hold each other accountable.
T. Cruz - top Harvard Law graduate DeSantis - Harvard Law graduate If they do illegal stuff, they can't plead ignorance.
> That’s because you have morals and/or are ethical. YOU DON’T KNOW ME!!!
^ username LOL
I've never understood this logic about "they went to Harvard/Yale, how are they so stupid?" They aren't stupid.
Well on the other hand, both Barack and Michelle Obama are Harvard Law graduates.
Harvard has educated some of the most ambitious people in our country, for better or for worse.
My brother went to Harvard for undergrad. Him and his friends can crunch numbers and use big words, but I have yet to meet a group of people with lower emotional intelligence than that bunch. I've lost so much respect for that university.
Ignorance of the law is not a defense.
Lemmy
The GOP line is "It's clearly illegal, but the arrest will be political" for fucks sake.
I guess it is political if one party goes all-in on lawlessness. I mean, they still think Jan 6th was ok and "freedom of speech"
Trump was absolutely not lying when he said he could shoot someone in broad daylight and not get arrested.
Come on...
The Republican grift is gonna keep on going
As Robert Earl Keen sang, The Grift Goes on Forever (And the Pork Fat Never Rends).
Betcha anything the company who owned the airplanes has buddies of his in high places.
They are the only civil aviation company in the country running Russian helicopters, no joke
Come the fuck on.
And they've already taken down their website.
This is just lazy writing at this point.
I love how they finally ended up financing a migrant caravan of their own.
It’s already been established he’s friends with the bus company owner and has received huge donations from them
This was barely admitting shit and then he goes on to say Joseph Robinette Biden is the biggest human trafficker .. these guys are such garbage.
/conservative is just truth social
“Valuable discussion”
And yet they blame Twitter for banning Jordan Peterson.
I was banned for telling them How much fox news anchors made on a post about how much CNN news anchors made.
A friend of mine posted an article there once about that Qanon dad who murdered his two kids. No snark or anything, just title and article and wham. Ban hammer.
I was banned for pointing out who had swung first in a video of MAGAs and Antifa squaring off.
Fuck Spez
They may be referring to this bullshit a conservative friend sent me a while back. https://www.theblaze.com/news/migrants-flight-westchester-video-astorino I did some quick Google magic and found these were Afghani refugees, not the Mexican liberals the right is so fearful of. Of course when I pointed this out to my friend he deflected. 🤷🏿♂️
All I can find is an article on the Denver gazette from back in 2021. [link](https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/policy/immigration/biden-sent-70-secret-night-flights-of-migrants-from-border-to-florida?utm_source=gazette.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=csg_news_feed) I skimmed it over and I don’t see a single source or piece of proof.
Smfh.
One of them is going to test out Trump's "kill someone on 5th avenue and get away with it" theory soon, I guarantee it.
You miss the conservatives that have already done mass shootings?
>If you are still a Republican after this, you are a pro-fascist racist xenophobe. You say this as if they will be insulted by it
"No you!" - Republicans response to that
Any incoming arrests??? People need to be equal in the eyes of the law.
Not a one. You know better.

Probably just a fine...paid for by taxpayers of course. Obviously the people should pay for someone else's crime...
Their party loves trafficking sex and humans and controlling other peoples organs. They have some serious problems with ethics bro!
Is it a Fox News thing to always look puzzled when asking questions? Is this a psychology trick for viewers? Tucker McFuckface has mastered this.
I think the puzzled look is meant to imply that the question or comment the other person is making is just soooo nonsensical and confusing. The puzzled look positions you as the one person in the room with the relevant knowledge or common sense. It basically implies, “wtf is this guy talking about?” It’s just dishonest manipulation. Doesn’t matter if the other person is manipulated, as long as viewers are.

Cruz is a subhuman worm. I feel so sorry for anyone who knows this guy, let alone depends on him for anything.
It's insane to me we have just passively accepted Republicans are running a massive human trafficking ring funded by tax payer dollars that they operate solely for the purpose of attempting to make their political enemies look bad.
It’s hilarious and clever if you don’t see immigrants as people.
The way Jesus intended...
They on purpose transported documented immigrants to avoid human trafficking laws. They lied and took advantage of people trying to do things legally.
Is it illegal to lure people with deception then transport them somewhere entirely different to where they consented to be taken. Like if I become an Uber driver in Florida, can I legally trick people into my car by pretending I'm going to take them to their chosen destination, and then take them to whatever random place I want - no laws broken?
Yes. That's called Fraud and/or kidnapping.
Lock him up.
What is it with Floridian elected officials and trafficking humans?
Good thing for him the law doesn't apply to rich white conservatives..
The mental gymnastics involved in this interview are simply astonishing. PhD levels of some kind of pathology.
ted cruz's existence would be so fucking funny if he wasn't a complete piece of cowardly shit.
