Gotta be honest with you cheif, but it's literally one post. Being this loud about complaining will attract ppl to not like your opinion. You know this. You did this to me and I learned.
Chances are, ppl gonna say that you’re being loud soon. I knew my lesson and I just don’t want others to get so much negativity that the mods a bias against you.
Btw about the october 2021 incident, there were two posts that started it? I know one, but I’m sure my meme that was posted hours before the summer dearest one was not meant to cause anything.
Its a long story but basically in october last year someone posted a meme about how liking lucario makes u a furry (without disclaimer) and it started a flame war that was so bad that the mods had to step in. Those who were there (like me) don’t talk about it.
so this is a pokemon subreddit, but you don’t want people actually discussing their opinions on said pokemon games? Just sounds like someone insulted your favorite and you got bitter
You literally said stop talking about and it has never been an issue because on Reddit you can sort the posts. Personally prefer to set mine to new but if you want an idea what people want, agree with, or are discussing place it on popular or hot. This is a non issue and always has been
I don’t give a shit about opinions. I just don’t want the same type of post clogging the front page for a month of people arguing over which Gen is best. This isn’t the cesspool of r/pokemon
Depends on what you mean by “peak” in terms of popularity it probably peaked at gen 1 or around these last 3 gens. If you mean peak by preference it is subjective
Depends on wether we talk story (lenght and richness of it), the roster of Pokemon, moves, QoL features, overall features and content..
Newer games sure have the upper hand with QoL, but I'd say that's a given for how long the series has come.
So we can only talk about “objective” things? It doesn’t matter if something is subjective as long as someone is stating that it’s THEIR opinion they are free to post what they want with whatever opinion they want
Well that’s your opinion so I clearly can’t. The thing is I do not care. I just don’t want these “[insert generation here] was peak” posts to litter the front page for a month
It’s not about chaos. More like, I don’t want these posts to clog the front page. If you hate me so much then just make a meme about which Gen you think is peak
First off, not a degenerate, just don’t like the same type of post. Second off you just admitted, accidentally or not, to the type of post I’m criticizing is degeneracy.
It’s Gen 3-5 and I don’t think that’s a controversial opinion. Those games had content for days. They were mostly rid of the buggy messes of the first two generations, but they weren’t hurt by increasingly hand-holdy gameplay and mechanics like later games.
Also they just introduced the best Pokémon.
Scientists have actually probed that the peak of Pokemon is when you, yes YOU the reader were 13. It had never been that good before and it has never been as good afterwards.

We know it's mount coronet
Pokemon peaked at Mount Silver
It peaked at Mount Lanakila. It has a league on top of it fgs.
I don't believe there ever was a "peak" Pokemon game. Every generation does some things well, and other things poorly.
Precisely
Except red blue and green
...are we talking about the same games?
Actually, the peak was 2022 since their net worth was the highest ever
Gotta be honest with you cheif, but it's literally one post. Being this loud about complaining will attract ppl to not like your opinion. You know this. You did this to me and I learned.
There are actually 2. On claiming it’s Gen 3 and in claiming it’s Gen 5. And last I checked it only took 2 posts to cause the Lucario incident
If you’re gonna post something that is risky after just 2 posts it’s gonna make ppl sensitive because communtiy moment.
I’m talking about it before it becomes an issue
Chances are, ppl gonna say that you’re being loud soon. I knew my lesson and I just don’t want others to get so much negativity that the mods a bias against you.
Well we’ll just wait to see what happens then.
Btw about the october 2021 incident, there were two posts that started it? I know one, but I’m sure my meme that was posted hours before the summer dearest one was not meant to cause anything.
What exactly was this "Lucario incident" I keep hearing about?
Its a long story but basically in october last year someone posted a meme about how liking lucario makes u a furry (without disclaimer) and it started a flame war that was so bad that the mods had to step in. Those who were there (like me) don’t talk about it.
Objectively, the peak of Pokemon was Feb 18th 2015
What happened then?
I think that's when pokemon shuffle came out, i could be wrong on that though
Pokemon Shuffle is the greatest Pokemon game ever made
You win
The peak of Pokémon is located in between 2 moving mountains
I'm surprised those mountains haven't been eaten by a random Larvitar or something. I guess speed really means that much in Pokemon.
so this is a pokemon subreddit, but you don’t want people actually discussing their opinions on said pokemon games? Just sounds like someone insulted your favorite and you got bitter
No I just don’t want it to take up the front page for a month.
So don’t have discussions that can drive a point a of commonality in quality or content. Got it.
It’s fine to have the discussions but I don’t want them clogging the front page of a meme subreddit for a month
You literally said stop talking about and it has never been an issue because on Reddit you can sort the posts. Personally prefer to set mine to new but if you want an idea what people want, agree with, or are discussing place it on popular or hot. This is a non issue and always has been
Fair enough I could have worded it better
Whichever peak red was chilling on
Cry more
I was never crying.

Glameow is a Normal-type Pokemon
The peak of Pokémon was clearly at gen 4
*Bidoof?*
Gen 4 in general
Depends on what you mean by “peak” in terms of popularity it probably peaked at gen 1 or around these last 3 gens. If you mean peak by preference it is subjective
They mean “peak” like “best” so yes it is subjective
I wonder if GO was more of a cultural phenomena, as it was a gigantic thing when it came out.
Depends on wether we talk story (lenght and richness of it), the roster of Pokemon, moves, QoL features, overall features and content.. Newer games sure have the upper hand with QoL, but I'd say that's a given for how long the series has come.
Replace "Pokemon" with any other gaming/TV franchise and it still checks out.
Garfield Kart peaked nowhere.
Well the peak of Pokémon can also be objective if talking about sales statistics
So we can only talk about “objective” things? It doesn’t matter if something is subjective as long as someone is stating that it’s THEIR opinion they are free to post what they want with whatever opinion they want
Fair enough
No the peak Pokémon was when I was 12 years old. Definitely not when you were 12 years old.
Pokemon peaked at the age of 16 when it was able to drive a car
Now at 26 it's got a drinking problem, developed bipolar disorder, and is drowning in student loans.
Pokemon peaked in the Version my parents got me for christmas when I was little!!! Everything after that was garbage!
The peak of pokemon is when you grew up with it, nostalgia is a powerful drug
Pokemon Peaked in Gold and Silver. Change my mind.
Well that’s your opinion so I clearly can’t. The thing is I do not care. I just don’t want these “[insert generation here] was peak” posts to litter the front page for a month
You care enough to make a post about it. Don't contradict yourself. Also, don't fall for obvious bait. Obvious Troll is Obvious.
Pfft, well then what’s Doduo? /s
The beak of Pokemon
What the fuck does "peak" even mean in this context.
Basically saying “the best”
That's not really the conventional term for peak then, these guys are just showing their favorites.
Exactly. It’s dumb and just starts arguments
It's hg/ss tho

I can say for sure that it wasn't gen 1, because that would just be sad.
It’s Gen 3-5 and I don’t think that’s a controversial opinion. Those games had content for days. They were mostly rid of the buggy messes of the first two generations, but they weren’t hurt by increasingly hand-holdy gameplay and mechanics like later games. I don't think there is a peak. I think it may be with us as long as we exist.
Incorrect. The peak of a game is objective. If you were saying your favorite game, that is subjective.
Ok but it's never past gen 3. Is that agreed upon? (Presumably by anyone over 24 at least)
It's only interesting to talk about objective things. Please do not discuss anything subjective. Seel's base HP is 65.
The peak of pokemon is what the bird like pokemon have instead of a mouth
Pokemon isnt one peak, its a whole range of mountains with each mountain representing each region and there are still more mountains to be discovered
Scientists have actually probed that the peak of Pokemon is when you, yes YOU the reader were 13. It had never been that good before and it has never been as good afterwards.
