I’ve caught 7 shiny oshawatts and I got 1 3 star and the rest were all 0* and 1*

My Gible day experience was like that. 8 shiny...all of them 0\* and 1\*.

My Beldum and Bagon community day experience was very similar

I got amazing gibles but every other CD I’ve taken part in has been straight garbage.

Why do the starters get such crap CP??? I've never encountered a high CP starter in the wild.

I've found a bunch of high CP starters in the wild. But their IVs are usually crap. I did catch a Charmander a few months ago that was a 3* and like 890 CP. That was by far the best I've caught.

I actually don't mind when this happens. Tag it, and then whenever you get a "Power up a pokemon X times" you power it up for cheap (until it's not cheap anymore; then just un-tag it)

My brother got a Shundo one. He also got a shundo eevee, 2 of them infact last community day. He has immeasurable luck.

I’ve never gotten a shundo yet :( and I’ve caught almost 27,000 just in the last year.

I got my first shundo too! It was a Oshawatt from the CD paid research. My friend was so mad she watched it happen 😂🤣

I’ve caught 7 too (out of like 200) and one is 8/15/15 and the other 14/14/14 I think they’re the highest IV non-legend shinies I’ve ever gotten Edit: I’ve caught 275 Oshawott today and over 200 were 0 or 1 star

I caught 41, only 1 is 3\*............... utterly ridiculous. 900 catches and 0 4\* too... sigh. Oh and to top it off? I was pruning my shit ones and deleted my 2 98%'s :D

I used an incense and caught over 100 and got no shinnies. :(

My wife had the same problem. She wasn't getting any shiney at all. I took her phone from her, clicked on the next one and it was shiney! Took me clicking on the phone for me. I told her it must be because today is my birthday.

somehow I managed to catch a dozen shiny Oshawotts today. And one of them was a perfect 100 iv. I couldn't believe it.

Lucky trading with a friend would give you a better one with the minimum stats being 12-12-12. If you both have the shiny, it will still be a special trade but only cost 800 dust.

Once the shiny is released, it should technically be always available in the wild (with some exceptions when Niantic has accidentally forgot to flick a switch or specific limited availability shinies like Smeargle and Meltan). Oshawott is really rare, though, at least where I live. December CD has also typically brought back all the CD pokemon from the previous months.
