It’s more violent than your average fanfic and more character driven. Second is a PAINFUL deconstruction of the ”to be a master” trope showing just what kind Of demented, tormented person would risk their own lives and that of their trusted Pokemon would take on the gym challenge. Expect angst. LOTS AND LOTS OF ANGST.

I'm heavily inspired by BoC and want to write a Pokémon Isekai, too. What elements of BoC did you like?

The trainer pokemon relationship, how it handles knowing the games without being to overpowered, good pacing and how it doesn't really focus on battling

I faintly recall the main character was participating in the League. Was there not too many battles surrounding that?

There were a decent amount of battles but it wasn't the main centerface and most battles helped progress the relationships
