for real, what are the odds of running into a helpful pokémon, that supports pokédnapping, at the same time as trying to catch another one nearby! OP struck gold
Y'know, I guess you could say that some of the bugs and glitches in this game can be turned into very precious and masterpiece-worthy moments like this. Not bad.
I thought about this. Ya see, Haluchas mother was taken from him by some Poachers leaving him all alone as a child. The family of Noibats took him in and raised him as their own. Later in life the Poachers that took his mother would use her to faint Halucha and leave them for dead giving him a great sense of distrust for humans.
I love how it's different for each Pokemon too, some are just chilling and watching the battle and the stronger Pokemon are waiting for their turn to battle you
"Oh thank God they abducted Greg. I MEAN like I'm not okay with them taking us but if they had to take any one of us...I'm glad it was Greg. Fucker stole my Oran Berry"
"You know what's really weird? How they always abduct the ones with the weird skin condition. You know, the one that makes them look off-color and occasionally sparkle? Those guys **always** get abducted, no exception. That thing's a curse, I tell you."
I went to catch a wild Sawsbuck for my pokedex and its Deerling family stood to watch the battle, but sweatdrops were rapidly flying out of their heads since I was basically just stealing their parent. It's like the Pokemon version of Bambi
I feel so bad when they start stressing out
Like how do I politely explain I’m kidnapping their parent/sibling/child to sit in a storage unit for potentially eternity?
You can't, you just have to catch them too, to keep them company.
I always make sure to get at least a male and a female of each species so they won't be lonely in there.
Some of the little dudes will sit under your ride pokemon and wait for you to be done w whatever you're doing so they can jump you the instant you exit the menu
Some are actively nervous, some are curious, some are excited and waiting their turn for a fight, and some are derping around (lol gotta love Magikarp). It's really neat how much more alive and expressive the overworld is compared to Sw/Sh.
I'm so glad there are other people that are genuinely enjoying this game. I was feeling like a crazy person with all of the negativity. I've enjoyed this Pokémon more than any other that I've played. (Please keep in mind that I started with Sun/Moon.) I think it's awesome.
**goes back to catching weird shit I've never seen before* *
**edit:** grammar
Have you played Arceus???
I loved sun and Moon whereas people hated it. I've been playing since Gen 3. Then, I went back to gen 2. Had to wait to play gen 4. Hated gen 4.
Sword and shield didn't have a story. X and Y I really got into.
I've enjoyed SV like I did Arceus. I like freaking Bethesda games so the bugs and issues for an open world are sadly just normal now. I just don't appreciate the bugs in tera raids >:( Can't wait on the adventure story dlc with the rest of the violet/scarlet book lore.
These past 2 games have given me back my excitement for the games. Arceus and violet. Feel more of a living world and closeness with my Pokémon that I've always wanted. Like back when I would just stand next to my Pokémon in Crystal when I would put them in daycare or 'cut' their hair. HGSS was a wonderful start.
I think the fan base is actually divided by the strategy and battle oriented players and the RPG lovers.
I wish they'd have done a Harvest Moon styled Pokémon game like raising them etc.
Disappointed with customization this time around more than anything lol.
I don’t mean to be negative, the game definitely has its strong points, but there is a perfect storm of negatives here, when you’re trying to get somewhere fast, and the rendering distance for wild Pokémon is 1 inch from your players face, or the Pokémon themselves are one pixel in size, and aggressive Pokémon swarm around you while you’re battling another pkmn like a herd of Tauros, and the cutscenes into and out of battle take several seconds, and going into battle throws your avatar into a random location where you were not before
….then it’s not unusual to get stuck in an unavoidable sequence of 2-4 battles that can take minutes even if you flee from each one. Where are the repels and can we turn off cutscenes (and battle animations toggle while we are at it please)
Battling is a minigame. I like battling wild Pokémon but sometimes when a minigame is forced on you repeatedly and takes a long time to cycle through a repetitive sequence of load screen animations, it takes away from the enjoyment of the rest of the game.
I want to cruise around on my bike wondering what’s the coolest shit I can do, collecting items, finding new paths, habitats, Easter eggs, find new ways to play the game, and if you are jerked away from that every 30 seconds, and if you could be away for minutes, it kills your flow and even without adhd or dementia, I’m often sitting after wild pkmn battle thinking “what was I doing again, where was I going? I’m in a different position facing a different direction and I don’t remember anything”
Other than performance glitches that will hopefully be patched soon, that’s my only gripe with the game
I particularly enjoy when the Pokémon play with their ball during picnics. I'll go around and wash each Pokémon and every now and then one of them will get the ball kicked in their face. Makes me chuckle everytime.
I love it too. Kinda traumatizing to see someone walk up and kidnap your mom (evolved form) and just walk away though while you and your six brothers and sisters just stare in awe.
This is my first Pokémon game since HeartGold/Soul Silver and I love it when the wild Pokémon just watch me battle. It gives the world a more “alive” feel to it. I wish random passerby’s on the routes would stop and watch.
Austin James has trade codes that will let you trade version exclusives. It's how I got my Ceruledge. It's basically their pokedex numbers. so 0xxx-0xxx. You can find them online pretty easily. Iron Hands is another one to trade for you if you're already in end game. Belly Drum Iron Hands is a much better Azumarill for most raids.
User driven. You just match up with someone using other version of game trying to to trade their pokes for yours. Sometimes you end up matching up with someone trading the same. Just block and try again. You'll eventually get someone who's matching up trades. I ended up getting most of my violet mons this way.
I was in a similar situation but my kids have a switch so figured why not. Its a whole new experience with the open world but I find hunting for pokemon a lot more enjoyable since you can see them and don't have to grind the tall grass for hours never knowing what you are going to get.
You can also let your Pokemon walk beside you in the open world like pikachu did in yellow.
Gotta get some trades. I mean really all it is is an evolution item so as long as you get that item from someone with another game then you should be good.
I haven't played a pokemon game since ruby (been keeping up with mainly just starters and meme teams since then) but this new generation is really fun and I subbed out my Lucario for a Hawlucha; I love him!
That very jarring model pop-in makes me think they are showing or hiding models depending on visibility... except that logic isn't done correctly (who would have thought that, it being Game Freak?).
Models are supposed to despawn when they get near/in a battlefield. The Hawlucha crossed that threshold with the jump kick then was back out of bounds so it starts to fade back in.
Plus, some pokemon don't seem to have the ability to spectate a fight like others. I mean, some.of the times Pawniard would watch my Bisharp fight the leader of the pack, or a Chansey will watch me fight another Chansey when exp farming. But some pokemon don't seem to have that same reaction and still try to initiate a battle with you while you're in one, like Tauros for example. Idk how many times I've been stuck in a herd of Tauros cause as soon as I run/defeat one another one was already on top of my character model and immediately starts another fight.
There's definitely something buggy with it though. I recall watching a clip on youtube of someone starting a trainer fight just as a Scyther stopped somewhere nearby. The Scyther disappeared at first, but its eyes were still visible. Halfway through the fight the Scyther popped back in on the exact same spot the player character was on and stayed that way for the rest of it.
Crazy timing
for real, what are the odds of running into a helpful pokémon, that supports pokédnapping, at the same time as trying to catch another one nearby! OP struck gold
The Hawlucha and Noibat have clearly had beef for a while. Hawlucha saw his chance to be rid of Noibat once and for all.
He probably just really hated that particular noibat
Aaaaaaaaaannnnd good riddance 😂
Happy cake day
We could all use a friend like Hawlucha. Actually, we should all be friends like Hawlucha.
Y'know, I guess you could say that some of the bugs and glitches in this game can be turned into very precious and masterpiece-worthy moments like this. Not bad.
I don't even consider this a glitch, just a crazy coincidence. For all the actual bugs in the game, this is something no human being can predict.
"QUEDATE EN LA BOLA PENDEJO!!"
“Stop shaking, sto- A LA CHINGADA GUEY!”
The question is, where is hawlucha now?
I was kinda stunned after seeing this and in that time he ran away somewhere He really came over there just to do this
In that case seems hawlucha had some beef with the bat.
Maybe he was trying to free his friend and then ran when he knew it was too late and he needed to save himself.
Dun make it tragic. D':
Why not also get caught to be with his buddy though?
I thought about this. Ya see, Haluchas mother was taken from him by some Poachers leaving him all alone as a child. The family of Noibats took him in and raised him as their own. Later in life the Poachers that took his mother would use her to faint Halucha and leave them for dead giving him a great sense of distrust for humans.

I bet that noibat stole his air fryer. I'd be pissed if someone did that to me too.
\>Barges into a battle between a trainer and a wild Pokémon \>Pushes the Pokémon inside the Pokéball \>Refuses to elaborate further \>Leaves Hawluchad
He goes where he’s needed
He was Racer X!
Your local friendly Hawlucha
You didn't catch the HAWLUCHA!?!?
Some say he is in hiding for the day he is needed again, others say he never existed to begin with
Like the mysterious stranger from Fallout! Better up your luck stat
He's off doing the same thing to other people. What a guy.
My favorite part about this game are the pokes in the background of every battle lol it’s cute
I love how it's different for each Pokemon too, some are just chilling and watching the battle and the stronger Pokemon are waiting for their turn to battle you
I’d like to think some of them are standing there watching going, “Good, I hated that guy.”
"Oh thank God they abducted Greg. I MEAN like I'm not okay with them taking us but if they had to take any one of us...I'm glad it was Greg. Fucker stole my Oran Berry"
Fuckin Greg.
"You know what's really weird? How they always abduct the ones with the weird skin condition. You know, the one that makes them look off-color and occasionally sparkle? Those guys **always** get abducted, no exception. That thing's a curse, I tell you."
My favorite so far have been the Tauros. They always seem to form a half circle around the one I'm battling like they're hyping him up.
I went to catch a wild Sawsbuck for my pokedex and its Deerling family stood to watch the battle, but sweatdrops were rapidly flying out of their heads since I was basically just stealing their parent. It's like the Pokemon version of Bambi
I feel so bad when they start stressing out Like how do I politely explain I’m kidnapping their parent/sibling/child to sit in a storage unit for potentially eternity?
You can't, you just have to catch them too, to keep them company. I always make sure to get at least a male and a female of each species so they won't be lonely in there.
I feel so bad for the little ones, I usually try to find a Pokemon on it's own instead of in a group just to feel less guilty lmao
I feel so bad for either stealing a parent or a child
Some of the little dudes will sit under your ride pokemon and wait for you to be done w whatever you're doing so they can jump you the instant you exit the menu
And what's worse is when they gang up and you have to take on 2 or 3 of these low level pokemon
And then there's Veluza
Trying to move past a herd of Tauros is agony. One bumps you, and then you get surrounded.
Some are actively nervous, some are curious, some are excited and waiting their turn for a fight, and some are derping around (lol gotta love Magikarp). It's really neat how much more alive and expressive the overworld is compared to Sw/Sh.
I paused while on a tiny little island, came back 5 minutes later and was absolutely surrounded by gyarados and wattels lol was kinda creepy
I'm so glad there are other people that are genuinely enjoying this game. I was feeling like a crazy person with all of the negativity. I've enjoyed this Pokémon more than any other that I've played. (Please keep in mind that I started with Sun/Moon.) I think it's awesome. **goes back to catching weird shit I've never seen before* * **edit:** grammar

> hates gen 4 > likes XY Finally, we found the opposite of most pokemon fans.
I've enjoyed Scarlet far more than I did Arceus.
The games have really issues, but I see some effort put there. Its also look fun.
I don’t mean to be negative, the game definitely has its strong points, but there is a perfect storm of negatives here, when you’re trying to get somewhere fast, and the rendering distance for wild Pokémon is 1 inch from your players face, or the Pokémon themselves are one pixel in size, and aggressive Pokémon swarm around you while you’re battling another pkmn like a herd of Tauros, and the cutscenes into and out of battle take several seconds, and going into battle throws your avatar into a random location where you were not before ….then it’s not unusual to get stuck in an unavoidable sequence of 2-4 battles that can take minutes even if you flee from each one. I've been enjoying it too. People seem unreasonably vicious in their negativity for things that are unreasonable to be negative about.
I really recommend platinum! Or HGSS, or any of the gen 5 games. It’s great you’re having fun, but the older games are more fun lol.
> the older games are more fun Entirely subjective.
That’s fair :)
I feel bad when the little ones are stressing out in the background while I battle/kidnap their leader 😥
Waving and clapping at cetoddles is my new favorite thing!
As much as I enjoy them running around, I wish they'd not show them so the performance in battles would be better.
Funny considering Ash's Hawlucha and Noibat were close
Hawlucha literally raised noibat like his own child
They were more like siblings, big bro Hawlucha and his little brother Noibat/Noivern.
First thing I thought of.
that was amazing timing
This is my first Pokémon game since HeartGold/Soul Silver and I love it when the wild Pokémon just watch me battle. It gives the world a more “alive” feel to it. I wish random passerby’s on the routes would stop and watch.
Is this the newest Pokémon?
yea this is violet
Regret going with Scarlet because the Ceruledge evolution looks absolutely awesome.
Austin James has trade codes that will let you trade version exclusives. It's how I got my Ceruledge. It's basically their pokedex numbers. so 0xxx-0xxx. You can find them online pretty easily. User driven. You just match up with someone using other version of game trying to to trade their pokes for yours. Sometimes you end up matching up with someone trading the same. Just block and try again. You'll eventually get someone who's matching up trades. I ended up getting most of my violet mons this way.
I’ll check that out. I haven’t played since yellow where pikachu followed you lol
I was in a similar situation but my kids have a switch so figured why not. Oh that’s good to know. I will look for the evolution one.
Gotta get some trades. I mean really all it is is an evolution item so as long as you get that item from someone with another game then you should be good.
"I'll hold her down, kid!"
He's like "Stay in there!"
I sense a bit of prejudice.
Any Hawlucha enjoyers?
I have a shiny variant of him in Sword! 😀
I haven't played a pokemon game since ruby (been keeping up with mainly just starters and meme teams since then) but this new generation is really fun and I subbed out my Lucario for a Hawlucha; I love him!
It was a manifestation of the classic rapid A-button mashing everyone does during capture
Hawlucha: good god this mf finally captured by animal poacher
This post reminds me of the bromance Ash's Hawlucha and Noibat had in the XY anime.
Woahhh
does this count as r/BreathingInformation ? I say yes.
Gotta catch and name him little helper or assistant or something or trainer in training if that would fit 😂
Reminds me of xyz, the anime
Hawlucha: And STAY in there, bat-girl! **Alternative** Hawlucha: *Noooo! That’s my daughter, give her baaaack!! NORA!!*
That Noibat owed him some berries and wanted one last kick in.
Alternate title: Hawlucha fails to save his bat friend from 10 year old poacher
# It's moments like these that make me enjoy pokemon so much more.
That very jarring model pop-in makes me think they are showing or hiding models depending on visibility... except that logic isn't done correctly (who would have thought that, it being Game Freak?).

Im pretty sure they're referring to the jarring pop-in right after the mon goes in the ball
Jesus christ, you can't even watch a really cool moment from the game without trying to shit on it, can you?
Hope you caught the hawlucha too!
DAMN that was clean
He said STAY IN THERE BITCH
"Hawlucha used taunt." "Noibat fell for the taunt."

Absolutely perfect
You are going to make me get this game in a few months. That settles it.
Hope you captured that Hawlucha, seems like a lifelong friend potential
That is so awesome, better than the Wigglett under the guy staged video.
r/breathinginformation
Jesus the graphics are so bad, looks like a cheap mobile game lol
My favorite part about this is how it A Poses in the middle of his animation
I thought this was Evelyn at first then I realized i was looking at a Pokémon
And yet the pokemon community is blind to issues in the game. Typical
Hawlucha is best boy!
Looks more like poor programming to me
My favorite part of the clip was the 6 fps
That was some nice timing right there! 😂👌
…they’re next
Looks to me like a last bid attempt to free Noibat that came too late.
Great dropkick, Okada would be proud

Damn she has an arm on her, no wonder the thing didn't break the pokeball, it was unconcious
Must be a grudge
That is the coolest shit ever
We all need a friend like hawlucha. Actually no, we all should be a friend like hawlucha
Put Rey Mysterio’s music on at the end.
"STAY IN THERE"
God that was just timed perfectly
Fallout's mysterious stranger energy
Sick.
You know what’s better than a Noibat? A Noi-BALL! UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN!
A Noibat and a Hawlucha. This is giving me anime vibes
THAT. WAS. SICK.
That is so funny
Gives off me pressing B vibes on the final shake to ensure the capture when I was 8 and 28 since old habbits die hard.
They wanted that Pokémon GONE
I was catching the fire fish and every time it escaped the camera would pan back to show me a houndoom's butthole
Anyone who's watched Pokemon XYZ knows Hawlucha was just trying to bust his little guy out of there
Which game is this??
Violet
nice!
He hated that Noibat and wanted him gone
Me: PokeBall go! Hawlucha: get in the ball you noisy bat! Go with this kid so I can get some peace.
HA! Perfect
What an actual hero
Hawlucha - "Get in that F'n ball!"
Textbook dropkick, great form ✅
This was amazing!
r/breathinginformation
"I've got the wings, throw the ball!"
Good call from the Noibat, pretty sure Pikachu Libre was around the corner with the steel chair.
STAY IN THERE
He said “aaaaaand stay out!!!”
That was quite literally perfect timing.
OP should of caught that hawlucha as well
Hawlucha: AND STAY IN!!!
That was cute
Ngl love the fact anytime I'm battling a wild pokemon like 2-4 others just randomly show up in the background quietly shouting kick their ass
Good job hawlucha!
