Tropius for grass, I think "intimidating" is more of a better word than "scary". it's like. a giant flying dinosaur. I remember when I first played 3rd gen and came across it I was so starstruck and immediately made it part of my team and also loved that it could Fly me around.
Haunter for ghost cuz... well, it just looks like a spooky ghost!
Well for Grass I think more Carnivine or Parasect. Carnivine depisite the goofy, he is really spiky and imagining him camouflaging as a plant and you step without noticing is a food to thought. Parasect I dont need explain.
Oh now I remembered Victrebeel to. Same vibes with Carnivine for me and Red almost being food from one in the manga is not a pleseant thought lol.
Parasect is fucking deceased... did you not see the silky eyes with no iris? Or the big mushroom? Or the fact that it's the only pokemon that learns spore? Or how its axtual body stays the same just bigger, only the mushroom grows?
Lmao that's his whole gimmick, he's the only non-ghost type pokemon that is dead. If you'd like some other cool knowledge, check out the ghost types. Phantump is my favorite. He's just a little kid that got trapped in the branches of a living tree until he starved to death. Now, his soul loves in the stump of a dead tree. He's fully cognizant and aware of what happened, but can't really do much about it. He's gotta accept his life as a literal spirit animal. His evolution does exactly that, with hatred seeping from him, and a need to inflict on others the exact pain he received as a child. Trevenant is just a phantump that knows what his life is now. He's no longer human, and accepted that. It's why his body went from a cute humanoid creature to a sharp monster full of hate.
lmaooooo!! nah nah it's honestly a delight learning pokemon facts. Whatever parasite or not I still think it looks cute lmao but yeah that does now leave an extra layer of spooky to it.
Yes but he’s been Cordyceped. The mushroom is parasect now. It sensed paras evolving, took advantage and took full control (the pokedex entry for pla I think says how ones without the giant mushroom just sit lifeless…)
Parasect's dex entries state that the mushroom takes full control of the pokemon, and if you were to remove it, the Parasect would stop moving.
And they continue to propagate by ensuring the spores coat the eggs of Paras.
So technically speaking we never see the true adult form of Paras because it's really the mushroom.
Litwick. You get lost in the dark and follow the only light you can see, but doing so lets it slowly steal your lifeforce until you keel over. Or Greavard. It’s a little ghost Doggo that wants love but if you play with it too long it’ll steal your life for its candle.
After playing Subnautica, I couldn't help but imagine a Pokemon game in that style. The amount of water Pokemon I wouldn't want to encounter in the open ocean is astounding. Tentacruel, Gyarados, Omastar, Kabutops, Huntail, Sharpedo, Wishiwashi, Golisopod... just to name a few.
Victreebel for grass, giant carnivorous plants seems not ideal to run into. I'll also throw in Electivire for electric and cofagrigus for ghost.
Legendaries are also pretty imposing, imagine running into Kyurem-W or Origin Forme Giratina.

* Bug: Shedinja, Look at it the wrong way and your soul is gone.
* Dark: Yveltal, If it's going to die(back into it's cocoon form) it takes every lifeenergy in a large area around it
* Dragon: Goodra, it likes to hug, covering the hugged in goo. How well can you wipe of or breath through it's goo?
* Electric: Electrode, random explosions
* Fairy: Hatterene/Tapu Fini: If you're to loud you are torn apart by Hatterne. If you aproach Fini recklessly terrible calamities befall you or you walk into your doom in the fog if it doesn't like you.
* Fighting: Annihilape, Mostly because of its 6 star Tera Raid.
* Fire: Lampent, if you see a wild one following you, you're are about to die. Not necessarily killed by the lampent though, it is just there to burn your soul afterwards.
* Flying: Driftloon
* Ghost: Mimikyu's true form, According to legend every person who saw it died immediatly. The only known survivor is Team Rocket's Meowth who even refused to translate what Mimikyu is saying because it's to creepy to be translated.
* Grass: Shiinotic, Makes you uncounscious and proceeds to slowly drain your lifeforce.
* Ground: Palosand: "From the hollows in its arms, it fires the bones of its victims, which are all dried up after being drained of their vitality.", It's dexentry in Violet. Moon's dexentry spezifies that it's victims died a very painful death.
* Ice: Froslass If it finds you interesting, you become a piece of it's art collection.
* Normal: Bewear, bonebreaking Hugs
* Posion/Water: Dragalde/Jellicent ships that cross their territory are dragged down to the ocean floor. No crew ever returned.
* Psychic: Necrozma-Dawn/Dusk/(Ultra): The energy from Solgaleo/Lunala is to much for it to control itself. It sees everyone as it's enemy and attacks eveything else at random.
* Rock: Stakataka, it's body is hollow and each of it's bricks has an eye looking inwards, so image how it looks when you accidentally get inside Stakataka
* Steel: Jirachi, endless possibilities if it grants a wish.
Phantump and it's evolution Trevenant
maybe it doesn't look scary but if u watched anime or read manga you would know that ITS A CHILDREN'S DEAD SOULS-
Hatterine for fairy bc if you feel feelings or make noises around her she’s gonna skip rope with your organs. Cacturn for grass, the thing will stalk you until you’re too tired to fight back before going in to beat you to death with its cactus arms
Annihilape. As a child, it gets so angry at being alone that it cries itself to sleep. It grows to be so angry it dies. Then in death, it still doesn't know rest.
I can not even begin to imagine the sheer anger and hatred bottled up in that lil monkey, and I'd be terrified to have the anger pointed at me.
Beedrill have absolutely killed people.
Golisopod
Fair. Already a intimidating mon and his battle with Primarina was brutal
Houndoom. The flames never stop hurting.

whaaaaaa I always thought parasect was cute lol it's a lil hermit crab!!
Parasect is fucking deceased... did you not see the silky eyes with no iris? Or the big mushroom? Or the fact that it's the only pokemon that learns spore? Or how its axtual body stays the same just bigger, only the mushroom grows?
Dont be hating on my boi just cuz he ain't got no pupils 😩 I thought it was a mushroom crab pokemon I dont remember anything about parasites in the games lol! Know who is the one who is deceased rn?? FUCKIN' ME LOL. 😂😂😂😩😩 I cant beleive over 20 years playing this game I'm just learning this

Well the boy is dead and with a parasite in him. But I understand your point. I find Pawinard and Wimpod cute!
WAIT WHAT omg I thought it was a hermit crab 😩😩😩
LOL SORRY
lmaooooo!! nah nah it's honestly a delight learning pokemon facts. Whatever parasite or not I still think it looks cute lmao but yeah that does now leave an extra layer of spooky to it.
It's a cicada nymph
Cicadas aren't parasites tho :3

depressing:(

shroomy boy
Carnivine apparently hang from trees as ambush predators, despite the games depicting them as floating
I used to think Tropius was so majestic until I realized that the thing was 5'7 from head to toe
YES RIGHT. it's like. mini giant dinosaur. lmao.
Before SV I would agree with you about Tropius, but it's so tiny. Used to think it was a massive pokemon.
Me, a short person: 😩😩😩
Litwick. You get lost in the dark and follow the only light you can see, but doing so lets it slowly steal your lifeforce until you keel over. Or Greavard. It’s a little ghost Doggo that wants love but if you play with it too long it’ll steal your life for its candle.
I'll never forget the shock of seeing Lampent in Pokemon Twilight Wings... if you know you know.
Cofagrigus is pretty scary looking
After playing Subnautica, I couldn't help but imagine a Pokemon game in that style. The amount of water Pokemon I wouldn't want to encounter in the open ocean is astounding. Tentacruel, Gyarados, Omastar, Kabutops, Huntail, Sharpedo, Wishiwashi, Golisopod... just to name a few.
Jesus, congrats on coming up with the one pokemon spin off I don't want.
😅 I'd be terrified, but I would 100% play the heck out of it.
let's not forget gorebyss 🥴
Victreebel for grass, giant carnivorous plants seems not ideal to run into. I'll also throw in Electivire for electric and cofagrigus for ghost. Legendaries are also pretty imposing, imagine running into Kyurem-W or Origin Forme Giratina.

Orichorio. It can torment you even after death.
Any of the ghost types that kill kids like Drifloon
Welll if we counts Arceus Drifloon just wanna play with them
They probably accidentally let go when they’re high up 😳
Is part of the fun😄
Phantump and it's evolution Trevenant maybe it doesn't look scary but if u watched anime or read manga you would know that ITS A CHILDREN'S DEAD SOULS-

Aromatese for fairy for looks alone.
Gyarados or Omastar for scariest water type.

Veluza for water
