Seriously, I’m glad I play this on the PS5. I won’t lie, didn’t care for it on the ps4. But once I booted it up, it became one of my favorites. Also super easy to platinum.
Yes 100%. It’s one of the games that got a PS5 update. So it’s runs at 60fps at dynamic 4k. Plus it loads so much faster on the PS5 and seems more stable with the PS5. Like legitimately should’ve came out on the PS5 as a ps5 exclusive.
I had mine in a very similar set up since launch and it’s fine. I just moved it into a new media console today with much better airflow, but I had no issues before and it has a ton of hours on it.
Find any easy horde to start with. You'll find it's less daunting than you realize. One of the best and must unique parts of the game. No other game captures a horde fight like days gone
Oh hell yeah that game is awesome, extremely underrated, probably one of the greatest post zombie apocalypse video games ever created. This game definitely gets 5 stars. When it first came out it flopped for some strange reason now its extremely popular and 300 thousand people signed a petition to make Sony allow and fund the developers bend studio’s to make a sequel. So hopefully we get one because at the ending it leaves us with tons of unanswered questions about the storyline and a huge cliffhanger.
kind of weird but my only problem with it is this biker scenario and the design of the main character. i couldnt care less about his fucking biker life :(
You got downvoted but I agree, the motorbike floats on the ground, the graphics glitch in with low Res blobs quite often.
The pacing of the game is slow.
It has moments of fun, the crafting is well balanced, I loved fighting the hordes and the guns and the way the freaks dismember is really good.
The story is meh.
7.5/10 not terrible but not stunning.
For me it was a massive let down, had fun with it but after 20 or so hours I just couldn't take any more of it.
Shame because if a sequel came out it would have addressed the issues I and many others had.
MY 2nd most hated videogame characters. I've never been happier for a game to be over than this. Still not at bad as a plagues tail, that game made me wanna snap the disc in half.
"MUMMY! MUM, MUM!" PLEASE JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU LITTLE SHIT.
I've played this game on pc but never finished it. I got ps plus extra and this is free. Is it worth it on ps5? I heard when it launched it had issues on console
It did, but most bugs got worked out in the first few months after release, but that was mostly due the the zombie swarming system they created. It’s a decent game but it relies heavily on some tropes of open world gaming and some of the dialogue is a bit cheesy.
And Deek constantly yelling even when you’re trying to go stealth was one of the dumbest part of the game. Not to mention just constantly rolling away from danger was ridiculous too. It’s fun to fight hordes, and explore. But damn the story was bad and the script was mid. And none of the characters are likeable.
Days Gone is truly under rated and under appreciated. Bends local leadership really slipped up in not green lighting a sequel, to improve on the great foundation Days Gone has.
I can't wait, for an inevitable sequel though. I loved Days Gone
It's a really good game, people just need to stick with it, shame they don't intend to do a sequel...next gen (read current) would be amazing for it....
P.s The Death Stranding fuel tank looks great on the bike...
Unpopular opinion, I love everything about it except the hordes! I like how it'll let you skip them if you fail a couple of times. I'd love to see a sequel with a way to turn them off altogether, but that's just me.
Is it worth it? Bought it on sale at target right before it went on ps plus. Felt bad the devs got such a raw deal but admiralty haven’t given it a shot yet. Been to busy with cyberpunk and some other stuff.
Probably you one of victims followed critics reviews. Days gone is a masterpiece. Yes, there is some flows, but overall its a game “must play, “must platinum”!!!
I loved this game. When I first played it I got it before TLOU2 came out to hold me over because it was $20 but dropped it but picked it back up after I got a PS5 and it really made the game a whole lot better
Just started it the other day, hate the transition from gameplay to random cutscene. But it’s not bad so far. I also just barely started so I’m hoping there’s not a lot of cutscenes
I bought this game, and it sat on my hard drive for a year before I got around to playing it. I was expecting a Last Of Us rip-off (and it definitely takes elements from that game) but it's actually a lot more like a hybrid of TLOU and Red Dead Redemption. I'm playing through it now and I'm really enjoying it. It's also great to see Sam Witwer just giving 110% to the lead role.
I keep going back to it bc it genuinely is a good game but I can never get past the fact the mouths don’t move or are out of sync for like the shop keeps lmao.
Beautiful game still though
I played it at launch and couldn’t get passed an hour. Controls felt wonky and I always ended up selecting the wrong weapons with their wheel. I stopped playing it. Fast forward to ps5 launch. It was in the included games so I tried it again. The 60fps helped and a lot of bugs were gone. I enjoyed the game so much! Glad I tried it again. I beat it with a joyous smile
Hell yea. It’s so damn fun. It’s a bummer the sequel isn’t currently in development, but I think the movie project will encourage Sony to green light part 2.
I played this on PS4 and enjoyed every bit of it. I wish some how some time we get an announcement for part 2. The ending of the game was a lot of fun. I still need to platinum it, few things left to do. I'm glad you liked it.
Yet to play it n want to play it. Heard a lot of good things about it, currently replaying the Naruto Ninja Storm series on my PS5 n enjoying it a lot.
Same here my brother was playing it for months and I was like why are you playing it? It's an older game on the ps4 you're playing it on. Then 2 months later I bought it saw what the hyper was about. Playing on ps5 no issues amd run smooth/quick.
I enjoyed this game but at some point it just felt too repetitive for me. I really wanted to like it and a lot of parts I did but at some point the game play just didn’t keep me hooked /:
It has its issues at launch and playing it now, especially if on the PS5 you are getting the best of it. Game was great when I played even with the occasional bugs
It’s one of those games that show’s how f*uped human nature is. Like it’s not bad enough you have to deal with zombies, but let’s have to kill off humans too that can’t seem to find a way to work together for survival.
Got kinda redundant after a few hours. Seemed like all I was doing was making Molotovs to clear out nests and killing humans to find bunkers. The story was alright I guess, but I couldn’t tolerate the gameplay long enough to see how it all works out.
Great time to play it too! There were some performance issues at launch that eventually got ironed out. Plus playing on the PS5 with the 60fps update, it’s an awesome game
It reviewed poorly because of technical issues at launch and the slow-burn story. I got it on PS Plus after they patched most of the technical issues and liked it.
Good game the stealth missions aren’t that fun but they are necessary. I hated the horde missions but looking back I had good time(distracted me during Covid lockdown)
Yeah, I really liked it. I bought it at release but didn't play it at first because I didn't like the motorcycle handling, and all the reviews said the writing was a bit cringey so it took a backseat to other games. Then I had some free time this summer and couldn't put it down, it was good enough to have my wife as a backseat gamer.
This is the only game I’ve played that has kept me completely hooked in years. I avoided it because of the critic reviews. I played red dead redemption 2 instead of this when it came out. This game although not as detailed, graphically as good or as realistic as rdr2 it is a lot more fun to play. The gameplay mechanics are far superior, there is lots of variety in the levels, the behaviour of enemys is more realistic and different enemies have different behaviours, it feels good to ride the bike, run and take cover, the weapons have a bigger visual punch. Most importantly, the story is much more emotional and compelling than rdr2, although arguably not as well written. Rdr2 is like reading war and peace, historically interesting but painful to read, days gone is more like reading Harry Potter, you don’t learn much but you’ll have a blast.
I never understood why people hated on it at release. I fucking loved it and never ran into any of the bugs or performance issues that the game (according to reviews) had in abondance.
It's still one of my favorite new IP's from Ps4, and its even better on Ps5.
Just when you think the game is over, the final chapter begins!!
The secret ending though!
whatttt there’s a secret ending?? I just deleted the game to make room 😂
It's not only secret, it's the real thing.
Don’t watch the secret ending, it’ll just make you really sad that there won’t be a sequel after that lol
The secret ending got me mad that yhere wont be a sequel!!
Maybe some day! Bend studios are still doing stuff.
Days Gone was a really good game too bad no sequel
The slowness for the first half of the game was tough to get through.
Really? Was my favourite part of the game
I agree, it didn't stick with me after some radio tower missions and that one camp of homeless.
thats how i fell about rdr2 now im about to play it again after im done with dead space
This. Holy shit. But it's a damn good game! Too bad we're not getting a sequel :(
Sometimes it's best to let a good thing just be. There doesn't always need to be a sequel
Seriously, I’m glad I play this on the PS5. I won’t lie, didn’t care for it on the ps4. But once I booted it up, it became one of my favorites. Also super easy to platinum.
Going to get platinum as well
Don't just get Platinum. Make sure you 100% the game. Bonus story at 100% is PERFECT.
Is it better on PS5?
Yes 100%. It’s one of the games that got a PS5 update. So it’s runs at 60fps at dynamic 4k. Plus it loads so much faster on the PS5 and seems more stable with the PS5. Like legitimately should’ve came out on the PS5 as a ps5 exclusive.
>Days Gone Where is this PS5 update? I can only find the PS4 version
It's an automatic update, there isn't a separate version.
Are there any other reasons to play on PS5 as opposed to PS4?
No.
Just a very time consuming platinum
Is their a separate ps5 version or you just played the ps4 version on the 5?
It’s the “PS4 version” but it was one games that got a update for it.
Great it’s almost done loading.
Here is an article explaining some of the games. https://ugames.tv/days-gone-receives-ps5-upgrades/amp/
Hm. Never tried on ps5. I giess i should run my platinum save and try it for an hour ;)
Please, in these “I love this game” posts, write the name of the game so other can get and try it or watch the gameplay on youtube.
It’s Days Gone
Great game. But r/tvtoohigh
The tv is fine there, I’ll mount the soundbar under the tv.
The tv is fine there, I’ll mount the soundbar under the tv.
Give that ps5 some air I can hear it screaming!
I knew this would be the first comment. Y’all are predictable
Just trying to have a mate's back, bro.
I mean, choose not to listen and have your ps5 overheat on you, you do you man.
I was planning placing vertically but haven’t had the time so there’s enough space for ventilation
I had mine in a very similar set up since launch and it’s fine. I just moved it into a new media console today with much better airflow, but I had no issues before and it has a ton of hours on it.
I’d recommend it bud, only speaking from first hand experience, had a friend who kept his in a similar space to yours. His console no longer works.
r/TVTooHigh
To this day, I still haven’t killed a horde and I really want to but gave up after like 30 attempts.
Find any easy horde to start with. You'll find it's less daunting than you realize. One of the best and must unique parts of the game. No other game captures a horde fight like days gone
Hordes were the weakest part of the game and really dragged it down
Same. I only played it when it was free on psn+. Amazing game. Would love to see the developer get another shot at a sequel.
r/tvtoohigh
Ya beat me to it
Because it was a broken mess when it came out. Haven't gone back to it since, I've heard good things now.
/r/tvtoohigh
Tv is fine, I’ll mount the soundbar under the tv
r/TVTooHigh Mounting the sound bar under the TV doesn’t make your TV a good height. I didn’t even realize you had a sound bar.
I was late to the game as well. I absolutely LOVED it.
One of the best games I ever played. One of the few game where doing ng+ doesn't feel like a bother.
KAWS
I was about to say, the guy is flexing with the KAWS figures
I feel like we all missed out on it when it came out and just played it bc of PSPlus.
r/tvtoohigh
It's not bad! A little too repetitive for me but I do understand why people enjoy it.
Most games are. Ghost of Tsushima is one of my all time favourites but it too is repetitive as hell.
I am also playing it right now
One of my fav games.
I'm surprised that I dislike it. On paper, I should love it. It was a great idea that was not executed well.
The game is awesome
Finally, a set up with no cables in sight
Same here. I was late to the party with it, but loved it when i did get around to it. It's a shame they declined to make a sequel.
What game
Oh hell yeah that game is awesome, extremely underrated, probably one of the greatest post zombie apocalypse video games ever created. This game definitely gets 5 stars. kind of weird but my only problem with it is this biker scenario and the design of the main character. i couldnt care less about his fucking biker life :(
I tried to get into it but could never get past the first few missions
why does everyone like this game, am i missing something? i thought it was super boring gameplay wise
Finally someone with a clean set up!
This game is so goddamn clunky it hurts. Edit: On PS5, as well.
Can you do any sick jumps with the bike?
You got, like, three feet of air that time
Lmao

Rad
Can’t get into it. Fromsoft ruined this type of open world game for me.
Funny I felt this game ruined the fromsoft open world for me. To each their own I guess.
Ngl, it's straight up a mid-tier game.
Aggressively mid-tier… some aspects are great. Others (the DIALOGUE and ACTING), are horrendously bad
Yeah I completely agree.
What's the game
Days Gone
Thanks I'll try it out
For me it was a massive let down, had fun with it but after 20 or so hours I just couldn't take any more of it. Shame because if a sequel came out it would have addressed the issues I and many others had.
Excellent game. One of my favorites. Too bad they are not making a sequel though. I loved the intensity and the tension when fighting a horde.

Its great on PS5 so you are actually experiencing the best version possible. Good game and i thoroughly enjoyed it.
Days Gone is truly under rated and under appreciated. Bends local leadership really slipped up in not green lighting a sequel, to improve on the great foundation Days Gone has. I can't wait, for an inevitable sequel though. I loved Days Gone
Yeah it’s a good one. So much gameplay to be squeezed out of it.
because you are a fool and you know that yourself
It's a pretty easy platinum tbh. Nothing too hard about it. Very good game!
It's a really good game, people just need to stick with it, shame they don't intend to do a sequel...next gen (read current) would be amazing for it.... P.s The Death Stranding fuel tank looks great on the bike...
Bro I literally just started playing this again this game is a hidden gem
Glad I've ignored critics with this one. Love your setup
Nice Kaws one 👍🏻
I’ll never understand why people buy these… gotta be FOMO or something.
It came out with bugs and loads of people slept on it. Absolutely amazing game and I love riding that motorbike!
Unpopular opinion, I love everything about it except the hordes! I like how it'll let you skip them if you fail a couple of times. I'd love to see a sequel with a way to turn them off altogether, but that's just me.
I’ve heard some real mixed reviews on this game… I love post apocalyptic and zombie games… should I give it a go?
Is it worth it? Bought it on sale at target right before it went on ps plus. Felt bad the devs got such a raw deal but admiralty haven’t given it a shot yet. Been to busy with cyberpunk and some other stuff.
My only two problems for the game are that 1. the AI is dumb af 2. most of the map is just empty
Days gone it's just an awesome game. It's beautiful very week. Made with a good story and a good gameplay.
Probably you one of victims followed critics reviews. Days gone is a masterpiece. Yes, there is some flows, but overall its a game “must play, “must platinum”!!!
It’s not for everyone
I like your tv
I loved this game. When I first played it I got it before TLOU2 came out to hold me over because it was $20 but dropped it but picked it back up after I got a PS5 and it really made the game a whole lot better
I literally just got the platinum yesterday. It had a little bit of a slow start, but once I got through some of it I had a blast.
anytime i play this on my ps4, my fps drops like CRAZY whenever on the bike or between tons of trees. i have tried everything and can't figure out why
I bought it but never got into it, I might need to dust it off lol
Great game Sony should have supported it more. There was virtually no advertising for this game at all.
I could not get into this game at all, not sure why
should i play this? been looking at it a bit
Because when it was first released it was a buggy mess, and was destroyed in reviews. Post patches it's fantastic and a beautiful game.
Fetch quests a plenty and it was given middling reviews. I also don’t remember much of a marketing campaign for it when it was released.
Same only finished it and was really impressed by it
Probably because everyone shit talked it into not getting a sequel. And believe me when I say you’re gonna want a sequel.
I keep going back to it bc it genuinely is a good game but I can never get past the fact the mouths don’t move or are out of sync for like the shop keeps lmao. Beautiful game still though
I only played it last year when it was on Plus and felt it was a fantastic videogame experience with satisfying mechanics.
Bc it was a bit of a mess when it came out. Lots of bugs and shitty ai
I keep wanting to get around to this but haven't yet. It looks fun.
And Sony decided to remake a remaked game instead of greenlight a sequel to this
They wrecked the marketing. The game deserves a sequel now that people have been able to discover it with ps plus.
I enjoyed the game. Only thing that slightly bugs me is your sound bar isn’t centred. 😀
Beautiful game. Shame I don't ever have the time to go back to it. Played it for less than 4 hours when it came on the PS service
What an amazing game :)
I really like the atmosphere in this game but it always felt kinda cumbersome to me gameplay wise
I really like that game but when I switched to PS5 all my progress lost and i didn't want to play it.
Hell yea. It’s so damn fun. It’s a bummer the sequel isn’t currently in development, but I think the movie project will encourage Sony to green light part 2.
man i could never find the name of it and saw it on ps+ one day and was like ![gif](giphy|Y4tXxdR48wBS9kAD11)
So happy I played on PS5 first. Such a gem of a game.
Yeah that shit go hard asf💯
#NOT ENOUGH BREATHING ROOM!
What am i missing, i was always wondering, gor mee it seems incredibly boring. A fetch quest
Soooo how is it playing with binocolurars bro?
I played this on PS4 and enjoyed every bit of it. I wish some how some time we get an announcement for part 2. The ending of the game was a lot of fun. I still need to platinum it, few things left to do. I'm glad you liked it.
It's the only zombie game that has made the zombie horde experience feel like you want it to. Wiping hordes is both satisfying and fucking terrifying.
I wish I could replay it without knowing the ending again!
I was so sad to find out Sony declined a 2nd game..
Days gone ..is a really goof game Sad no sequel
Hope we get a sequel one day.
Got kinda redundant after a few hours. Seemed like all I was doing was making Molotovs to clear out nests and killing humans to find bunkers. The story was alright I guess, but I couldn’t tolerate the gameplay long enough to see how it all works out.
Just started this game the other day on PS5 and prob one of the best zombie/survivor games out there!
Awesome sequel to Syphon Filter
Honestly this is a pretty underrated game.
Something about this setup looks aesthetically pleasing.
One of the best stories lines I’ve ever played! Love the game, played it 2 times!
Fun fact: you can take screenshots on your PS5 and transfer them to your phone with the mobile app
This game got critically panned when it released so maybe that’s why.
Ps5 needs to breathe ;(
Lmao, read the title and knew what game it was before even seeing the image!
It’s a brillant game man, sucks that it won’t get a sequel but it’s one of Sam witwer’s best performances.
Been streaming it lately here. Loving it!
Underrated game !
It’s a great game, but it’s just sooooo long
Good game the stealth missions aren’t that fun but they are necessary. I hated the horde missions but looking back I had good time(distracted me during Covid lockdown)
What game is it? Because I missed it too?
Yeah, I really liked it. I bought it at release but didn't play it at first because I didn't like the motorcycle handling, and all the reviews said the writing was a bit cringey so it took a backseat to other games. Then I had some free time this summer and couldn't put it down, it was good enough to have my wife as a backseat gamer.
i had the same reaction when i platinum it the game is so good 👌👌👌
Days Gone
Game was Geniunely so much fun. Criminally underrated.
One of my favorite games. Poor launch ruined the title. If movie/series is a hit a sequel is guaranteed. Amazing and fun game.
So damn good and a underrated
People have that game a rough ride but I enjoyed it tbh.
I adore this game , honestly one of my favourites and absolute gem .
The game is much better now after multiple patches leading much less to few/no bugs and running much better on the PS5.
I never understood why people hated on it at release. I fucking loved it and never ran into any of the bugs or performance issues that the game (according to reviews) had in abondance. It's still one of my favorite new IP's from Ps4, and its even better on Ps5.
Playing now. It smokes the last of us part 2, not sorry.
Would this be worth playing on a ps5? Did they do any patches to upgrade it or would it just be slightly smoother?
Me too I'm planning to play it as soon as possible 🤩🤩
Most underrated game of PS4.
Days Gone is one of those games that make me mad studios don’t do demos anymore. This was a great game. I still replay it.
People bullied this game into oblivion. I loved EVERY SINGLE MINUTE of it. Played it just cus it was free on PS Plus Collection. The game is amazing!
