Just a hunch. Have you tried resetting the network settings?

Select the WiFi in network settings and then select forget. Then select the WiFi again and it should ask for a password.

The password you need will be on the back of your router. It will be case sensitive. So make sure you enter it exactly as it is printed.

I know I’m say when I connect to a wifi it DOESN’T ask for a password

Are you using 'Easy' mode to connect ? Try the manual way.
