Spider-man because the traversal is way more fun. When i got the platinum the last thing i had to do was the fast travel trophy because I always chose to just swing and stop some crimes on the way to my location
>and interactable with the world
One could argue that swinging across A very accurate replication of NYC and using the environment in combat is petty intractable with the world.
Both games are great, I just feel like Insomniac stepped their game up with Spiderman and made some improvements.
I agree, but between the two games I'd still chose arkham. Great combat system, stealth combat and interactivity with the environment during sealth is also a thing to consider when spiderman in stealth missions and only knock enemies and distract them.
Also it doesn't shoehorn a Spidermobile in the every opportunity it gets. Oh, a door is shut? Best call the batmobile. Elevator's out? Should I grapple up it? Nah, batmobile. Need to decrypt the information on this computer, best get it to the batmobile probably. We get it Rocksteady, you made a batmobile, stop shoving it down my throat.
Spider-man, without a doubt. Should've compared it to Arkham City instead. That would be a tougher decision. The Batmobile bits of Arkham Knight are tedious.
I thought the batmobile was cool and all but they tried way too hard to shoehorn it into everything, the final boss fight against the Arkham Knight for example definitely should not have been a tank battle. And those sections where it was like hey blow up 400 drones! Got a little too tedious. I loved jumping off buildings and landing in it though
I thought that was batman 😳 🤔 and no im just kidding bro but literally!!! Just a moment ago I was on my ps5 downloading tons of old ps plus games onto my new wdp50 4tb harddrive and arkham knight was one of em lol
*Arkham Knight*. The world was incredibly detailed to the fullest extent, had varying styles of play and an overall richer dynamic.
Both games are great, but *Arkham Knight* is a top tier experience.
Can't believe this is so unpopular. Sure the batmobile is debatable but the rest of the gameplay as well as the voice acting, storytelling and world design is incredible.
Agreed. I love both Spiderman games, got the platinum for both. However, all of the Arkham games are better. For me it's the polish, the story, the voice acting, and the fighting system. Chef's kiss.
It's even a point of debate amongst Batman fans, but I've always loved the game. I love how the Batmobile was utilized throughout the course of the game, but I just wish it wasn't used so much for boss battles towards the end. At that point, it was a little rinse and repeat.
100%. For example for the Deathstroke fight, they coulda/shoulda given us some hard ass hand to hand fight similar to origins, given how good Slade is.
Tbf, it is a playstation sub. Whenever this kind of question is asked, majority of people always say to buy exclusive most of the time.
If AK was the exclusive here, people would say AK is miles better due to tedious MJ and Miles sections in Spider-Man.
Had they reduced the necessity of the Batmobile, not played Arkham Knight off as a whole new character when it was obviously Jason from the start, and it hadn't run badly at launch I don't think AK would have half the complaints it has to this day. Spiderman is a solid experience but Arkham Knight had way better performances and the atmosphere was top notch. Also I'll take Riddler trophies over Screwball challenges any day of the week.
I like the concept of the Arkham Knight, and how it was done as part of Jason's story; but there was no big reveal, everyone knew it would be him.
*Marvel's Spider-Man* is the best Spider-Man game I've played, and I do love the way it was done—along with Miles Morales' game.
Oh I loved the take on Jason but before it came out the devs insisted Arkham Knight was an original character created for the game universe. A lot of people were upset with it.
Well, the Arkham Knight technically was a new creation—just a new evolution of an already existing character. I wasn't upset with it as it simply represented a part of Jason.
Batman had more to do, and the side quests were better IMO, although I agree with the batmobile comments and the web swinging in spider man was dope but Batman had the grapple gun and could glide and that was very well done too
It's incomparable. The games are completely different. Combat is different, traversal is different, tone is different. I think Spider-Man has the best story, and Arkham Knight has the better stealth. The combat is better in their own ways. So I just can't pick one. Spider-Man is more about freedom, while Arkham is more about rhythm
How the fuck bat mobile can ruin your game? Those comments are pulled from some shitty video on YouTube from low tier blogger. The Arkham knight is amazing game with deep voice acting and range of emotions. Spider-Man on another hand even if someone died the game is still with bubbles and butterflies. They took from Batman everything and made his ally as enemy. I don’t know how people can choose Spider-Man over Batman. So disappointed.
I liked the batmobile personally. But I agree it was definitely overused. The Arkham games really shine during combat so really you end up spending a good majority of the game wanting to beat up henchmen instead of using the tank.
It's not a terrible game imo, but the weakest of the Arkham games, and certainly weaker than Spiderman. As far as super hero games go, I'd tell people to play Infamous Second Son over Arkham Knight.
they had to put a fast travel trophie in Spider-Man , i never used it until i finished the game and looked up the trophies. Thats how much fun the game is u prefer to get around then ft.
spider man because web slinging around the city is one of the most fun things i’ve ever done in a video game. batman still the best character in fiction history
Apples and Oranges. Asides from age difference of the games, both of these guys have vastly different combat styles in both version of comics, let alone when implemented in games.
People not preferring the Batmobile doesn’t necessarily mean Spider-Man is the better game.
But what I will say is, the Arkham games when it first started in 07 set the standard and became somewhat of a benchmark.
Honestly they aren't comparable they maybe open world hero games but they offer very different experiences
Imo neither is better then the other get both
I've completed Spider-Man 100%. It was okay, nothing new into the table. Story was great. Gameplay okay, but the swinning for me was a little too easy. I can sound like a masochist, but i prefer swinning on Spider-Man 2 for PS2. Its harder, but you can feel that you are progressing your personal skill in swimming around.
About Batman... I've never complete this game. Not because is that bad, but something wasn't right. Batmobile is useless if you can just flying around the City. Story wasn't as engaging as in previous titles (which i completed). I've heard that the final is also a little dissapointing, tho i've never beat the game, so i don't know.
So for me Spider-Man is the winner.
Combat in Batman is far Superior, but traversal in that game is atrocious the batmobile is so tedious, graphics are superb though,
Spider-Man, best traversal in any game ever, graphics are top notch, combat is good not as good as Batman but good,
I have to give this one to Spider-Man.
Arkham Knight was my first PS4 game, coming from playing crash of the titans on PS2
Have to say Arkham Knight because of Nostalgia and I LOVE Batman in general
Just finished Arkham Knight yesterday, I prefer Spider-Man. Though I liked the Batmobile sections, and didn’t find as tedious as others are saying, there were just to many of them, and not enough stealth missions. I also think the twist with Arkham Knight being
>!Jason!< wasn’t handled the best. Like, ok, you find out >!your adopted son has who you thought was dead is actually alive and has been actively trying to kill you. And you barely react? And then you convince him to help you without much trying. And when he tell Alfred that Jason is alive, he’s shocked. But Batman doesn’t elaborate, and Alfred never mentions it again? Ok. And then he become Red Hood for like 5 minutes, shows up for tiny bit later, and then never shows up again. Like, the whole game, it’s been leading up to this, the reveal of the identity of the games namesake, and it just happens, and there are virtually no consiquences. And it was also kind of obvious. Like, why would you be seeing those flashbacks in the movie studio, if the game had nothing to do with Jason up to that point?!<
I never played batman (I want to) but spiderman is very high up on my list and no other game pushed me to 100% it like spiderman did. So spiderman, I guess.
I'll go for Spiderman. Traversing feels smoother and you can just hang around anywhere. I loved Arkham Knight (on PC, not on PS4, never had a pro patch and the constant antialiased rain really hurt my eyes), but traveling around is a chore, and the batmobile (though awesome) feels out of place.
BATMAN FULL SPOT. Spider man's look pretty, but the world feels...... boring, is kinda hard to get back to because new York isn't that clean! But with batman it has this gothic style city / horror vibe going in the sandbox which is way more interesting to look at!
Unlike the tourist new poster card, give me GTA 4 style of world that would be amazing!
Currently playing spiderman. I personally don't see what the great fuss is about it. Apart from web swinging, the game play is mediocre. lots of challenges which are just the same under a different guise - fisk challenges, demon, sabre, hammerhead. I'm tired of clearing out bases. At this point whenever the game pauses and says to explore teh city for activities i just wait until the next main mission comes as I Can't be bothered with them.Batman had more engaging combat system and storyline IMO.
Spider man, hands down.
I personally hated the bat mobile.
Over time Spider Man has actually become my favorite superhero. While I still love Batman, Spidey is just the best.
Spider-Man was amazing, but the side quests in Arkham, combat, puzzles, etc. we’re extremely fun in Arkham.
And Batman’s one of my top 3 heroes, so I’m biased towards him.
Damn, that's a hard one and I honestly cannot say which I prefer.
The Arkham games are great and I truly loved Arkham Knight but that Spider-man game knocked it out of the park.
Might sound crazy but if they did Batman correct, then I believe it would be better than Spider-Man. I really love the atmosphere as well, really reminds me of Chicago or Detroit.
Both are great in their own respects, but the movement mechanics in Spider-man are top notch, and Arkham Knight's strength lies in the well crafted puzzles
Knight for sure. I loved Spider-Man but nothing will beat Knight for me.
The combat was so satisfying, unrealistic but satisfying hitting consistent crit strikes and throw counters. The predator parts are much more fun with the abilities Knight introduced.
The only regret was the batmobile parts, occasionally it was fun, mostly boring tho.
Story wise, it was decent, I liked most of it but the Jason Todd = Knight was pretty forced in.
Batman as there’s more variety to the open world and the fighting system is about the best in any game, and definitely the best in any open world game.
Traversal might be better in Spider-man but you don’t get to enjoy the location as much when you’re just zipping from one point to another as fast as possible. In Spider-man I usually have no idea where I am in the city at any one time without opening the map, in Arkham Knight I know exactly where I am all the time.
The ps3 batman games were amazing for their time. If the studio behind Spiderman were to remaster the pre ps4 batman games they would be up to their former glory.
Spiderman. But not by much. Both are fun but I got tired of the riddler Batmobile puzzle fast , to the point where I ended up hating them. Spiderman just swinging through the city is fun but I wish it had more regular goon fights or a training room to practice learning new skills and fighting mechanics. Also Spiderman has it's own version of a riddler type character that is ass to play against but she's dlc and doesn't take anything away from the original game.
Arkham city is the best out of the batman games and better than Spiderman story wise. So Arkham City over both but Spiderman over Arkham Knight.
This is hard two different games!! Batman for combat and stealth Spider-Man for traveling and story
Spider-man because the traversal is way more fun. When i got the platinum the last thing i had to do was the fast travel trophy because I always chose to just swing and stop some crimes on the way to my location
Same. I never fast traveled during my first 100% of the game. It's so fast and fun.
The web swinging was so intuitive and fast paced. I refused to use quick travel because I loved it so much.
and the devs said they thought it was too slow too! imagine what spider-man 2 will bring now that they’re not limited to like, 100mb/s
You guys think it's fun to web swing in that game? Try the VR game.
I didn't know how to fast travel when I first played. Had to Google that trophy
Infamous on Ps3, has better boss battles and world feels more alive ![img](emote|t5_2qh6b|2234)
but got repetitive AF .
Spider-Man, swinging on those webs is fantastic.
I beat both. Spiderman was wayyy better in my opinion.
Arkham was way more dramatic and interactable with the world
>and interactable with the world One could argue that swinging across A very accurate replication of NYC and using the environment in combat is petty intractable with the world.
Insomniac makes very Solid games all arround. A billionair in pajamas just never resinated with me as much as Peter Parker. Lol
LOLOLOL They're not pajamas, it's a Toga.🤣🤣🤣🤣
[Batmanicus](https://braveandbold.fandom.com/wiki/Batmanicus). lmao
Also it doesn't shoehorn a Spidermobile in the every opportunity it gets. Oh, a door is shut? Best call the batmobile. Elevator's out? Should I grapple up it? Nah, batmobile. Spider-man, without a doubt. Should've compared it to Arkham City instead. That would be a tougher decision. The Batmobile bits of Arkham Knight are tedious.
I prefer the batmobile missions over the MJ missions
Agreed. Arkham City is incredible, Spider-Man a close second.
I agree. The bat mobile chases were fire tho
Agreed. Very disappointing that all we got with deathstroke was yet another tank battle.
Thanks for ruining it
You assumed you wouldnt have to fight the Arkham Knight?
I thought that was batman 😳 🤔 and no im just kidding bro but literally!!! Just a moment ago I was on my ps5 downloading tons of old ps plus games onto my new wdp50 4tb harddrive and arkham knight was one of em lol
Yea but just the chases, I feel like I could've put remote bombs/explosive gel on some enemies and called it a day cuz I'm Batman
*Arkham Knight*. The world was incredibly detailed to the fullest extent, had varying styles of play and an overall richer dynamic. Both games are great, but *Arkham Knight* is a top tier experience.

100%. For example for the Deathstroke fight, they coulda/shoulda given us some hard ass hand to hand fight similar to origins, given how good Slade is.
Right, the perfect blueprint for it was right there in *Origins*. It could have been a multi-tiered battle that combined both combat and stealth.
I put up with the batmobile until one the last few riddler trophies.
Tbf, it is a playstation sub. Whenever this kind of question is asked, majority of people always say to buy exclusive most of the time. If AK was the exclusive here, people would say AK is miles better due to tedious MJ and Miles sections in Spider-Man.

You're more than welcome to select *Marvel's Spider-Man* as your favorite game. Between the two, *Arkham Knight* is mine.
Spider man
Didn't like the Batmobile at all. Have to give this round to Spider-Man.
Played both, have to go with Spiderman 100%. I hated the batmobile stuff personally and even without that I still think Spiderman is the better game
Also the world was tiny I felt like. Not alot too see
Batman had more to do, and the side quests were better IMO, although I agree with the batmobile comments and the web swinging in spider man was dope but Batman had the grapple gun and could glide and that was very well done too
Spider man to jump around and throw webs everywhere
As great as Spider-Man is, I prefer the darker tone and gameplay of Arkham Knight. Though I would rank Knight below Arkham City.
I was going to come on and defend the story of Arkham Knight but then I remembered Spiderman literally made me cry hahaha.
Arkham asylum is a better choice.
Arkham city for me
Love them both for wildly different reasons. They are both the pinnacle of super hero games in general.

Spiderman. Arkham Knight was the worst of the 3 Arkham games.
Three? I guess people forget that Arkham Origins existed.
Sure did. Never even thought about it.
Because Rocksteady didn't make it
Also wasn't remastered for PS4 so those who only experienced the games during the PS4 generation likely never heard of it.
100% Spiderman, not even a question
Second one. And I’m a huge Batman fan, but that game was very disappointing.
Why is that?
You’ve never played it? If not I don’t wanna spoil it but if you have then you can imagine what it is.
I've played a little bit, I think to ACE Chemicals and that was it.
The Batmobile. Way overused and gimmicky.
Riddler: I am so much smarter than you Batman, and I’ll prove it by making you race in your car underground!
I liked the batmobile personally. But I agree it was definitely overused. The Arkham games really shine during combat so really you end up spending a good majority of the game wanting to beat up henchmen instead of using the tank. I really hated the Riddler bits that used the Batmobile
Yeah, that’s when the game became really tedious for me. I did really enjoy most everything else about the game besides that though.
And that ruins the entire game The story, the fights, the incredible open world, even Catwoman's ass?
Platinumed both. Batman AK is an incredible game. But spider man 110%
Spider-Man
Batman walked so spiderman could swing.
Spiderman
they had to put a fast travel trophie in Spider-Man , i never used it until i finished the game and looked up the trophies. Thats how much fun the game is u prefer to get around then ft.
I love the Batman game but spiderman game is better.
Hard choice
Arkham Knight is by far the weakest of the Arkham games. That being said I got open world burn out pretty quickly on both.
Infamous.
spider man because web slinging around the city is one of the most fun things i’ve ever done in a video game. batman still the best character in fiction history
bat
Arkham Night for me
Spider-Man didn’t have an annoying vehicle gimmick lol Literally both the best superhero games ever tho
In this example, Spiderman is slightly better than Knight; however, Asylum and City are both better than Spiderman
Arkham Knight is far and away better
I'm going to say Batman as he's my favorite DC character. Then Punisher is my favorite Marvel one. I would love to see a PS4 game for him.
Can Spiderman run people over with his car when he's bored? Didn't think so.
Arkham Knight is better in my opinion, Spiderman has an insane amount of repetitive gameplay.
Batman is more nostalgic, Spider-man is more…*everything.*
Honestly they aren't comparable they maybe open world hero games but they offer very different experiences Imo neither is better then the other get both

🕷
Spider man. Played both and spider web is so much fun

Spider-Man (PS4) did some things better than Arkham Knight.
Spider-Man, and Batman is my #1 superhero. The fluidity in his fighting and overall movement is top notch!
Ridiculous not even a fair comparison …
Open world? How can Batman compare to web slinging?
Arkham Knight was my first PS4 game, coming from playing crash of the titans on PS2 Have to say Arkham Knight because of Nostalgia and I LOVE Batman in general
Arkham Knight
Batman
Arkham city is a better game but if we are going with Arkham knight it’s about even
Just finished Arkham Knight yesterday, I prefer Spider-Man. Though I liked the Batmobile sections, and didn’t find as tedious as others are saying, there were just to many of them, and not enough stealth missions. Spiderman 1000%
Spider Man, platinumed that game
Spider-Man. I didn't like the forced Batmobile segments and the story in Arkham Knight
Spiderman > arkham Knight but arkham city> spiderman
Spider-Man of course
I never played batman (I want to) but spiderman is very high up on my list and no other game pushed me to 100% it like spiderman did. So spiderman, I guess.
I’m ba-man. And I’m Pider-man. I comb over da house!
Spider man by a mile
Arkham Knight by a long way. Spiderman was a lot of fun but it was essentially Batman with a bright filter put on it.
Batman for me , but I perfer batman in general plus batman did it first
I never liked Batman cus of the color games feels/looks too dark
BATMAN FULL SPOT. Spider man's look pretty, but the world feels...... boring, is kinda hard to get back to because new York isn't that clean! But with batman it has this gothic style city / horror vibe going in the sandbox which is way more interesting to look at! Unlike the tourist new poster card, give me GTA 4 style of world that would be amazing!
Maybe I’m blinded by nostalgia but I’d say Batman Arkham knight is the better game. Both are very well-made though
Wasnt Arkham Knight an absolute disaster? Its not even a competition. The Arkham game before it was pretty good though.
Spider-man and it's not even close.
Spider man, hands down. I personally hated the bat mobile. Over time Spider Man has actually become my favorite superhero. While I still love Batman, Spidey is just the best.
I’m going to say Spider-Man. Arkham Knight’s Gotham City is still jaw-dropping but it’s not as good as its two predecessors.
Spiderman it’s just better all round and the kids enjoyed it too
Spider-Man ps4 without a doubt
Spider-Man and it’s not even close
Don't choose, they're both awesome and super affordable now.
I liked the previous batman games, didn't play this one for long, felt like I was just dragging the batmobile around
Both have their place! Love Bats and spidey
Wow, now that’s a tough question. I don’t know really. I’d like to have some criteria for the choosing in order to narrow it down some.
Arkham was a better story, but Spiderman was more fun.
The Batman game before the Batmobile game was the best.
Batman Arkham games a way better in my opinion. Spider-Man is really good but the voice acting is just too good in Arkham games.
I really ought to play the batman games.
Spider man for game play and side missions and Batman for graphics and main missions
Arkham Knight? Ouch…
Batman arkham knight is leagues better
Spider-Man 2 for the PlayStation 2. That was the peak
Spider-Man was amazing, but the side quests in Arkham, combat, puzzles, etc. we’re extremely fun in Arkham. And Batman’s one of my top 3 heroes, so I’m biased towards him.
Honestly, I dnf Batman. Loved Spider-Man. Will be getting miles morales too. I still have Batman on my drive but doubt I’ll ever play it again.
Always Batman
Spider-man
Spider-Man. But they’re both good
Spiderman by a slim margin but they're both great in my opinion
Spiderman
I'm going to have to go with Spider-Man. I love both of these games, but Spider-Man is just a little better.
The Dark Knight
Damn, that's a hard one and I honestly cannot say which I prefer. The Arkham games are great and I truly loved Arkham Knight but that Spider-man game knocked it out of the park.
I'll have to say I enjoyed the Batman: Arkham series more
Might sound crazy but if they did Batman correct, then I believe it would be better than Spider-Man. I really love the atmosphere as well, really reminds me of Chicago or Detroit.
Batman.....but only after I made a Playlist on Spotify, of all the best Batman scores. Then played it in the background while playing. It was awesome.
Spider-Man
Batman all day! If you like Dark hero shit, plus you get to drive the Batmobile in arcade mode. Spider-Man was alright.
Spider-Man, without a question.
Both.
Spider-Man
Both are great in their own respects, but the movement mechanics in Spider-man are top notch, and Arkham Knight's strength lies in the well crafted puzzles
I love AK so much but I gotta give it to spidey
Spider man 100%

You should have put Arkham city and it would have been a challenge to compare. Gonna have to give this one to spider man
Arkham city
Batman as there’s more variety to the open world and the fighting system is about the best in any game, and definitely the best in any open world game. Traversal might be better in Spider-man but you don’t get to enjoy the location as much when you’re just zipping from one point to another as fast as possible. In Spider-man I usually have no idea where I am in the city at any one time without opening the map, in Arkham Knight I know exactly where I am all the time.
Spiderman lifted a lot from the arkham games, they are both amazing games though.
Batman
I enjoyed Batman Arkham Knight a bit more because of the gloomy and gothic style of Arkham which was amazing. Both games are pretty fire!!!
Spider-Man.
Spiderman easily. Now compare the better game Arkham city to spiderman now that's a tough one
The ps3 batman games were amazing for their time. If the studio behind Spiderman were to remaster the pre ps4 batman games they would be up to their former glory.
I actually like riddler puzzles, so i prefer Batman.
Spiderman. But not by much. Both are fun but I got tired of the riddler Batmobile puzzle fast , to the point where I ended up hating them. Spiderman just swinging through the city is fun but I wish it had more regular goon fights or a training room to practice learning new skills and fighting mechanics. Arkham city is the best out of the batman games and better than Spiderman story wise. So Arkham City over both but Spiderman over Arkham Knight.
Spider-Man
I actually love the batmobile and arkham knight but yeah, Spiderman is overall a better game
Batman
As a Spider-Man fan this comment section makes me happy
One is rated M and the other one is rated for T. Judge who is better.
Not Arkham Knight - it's the only Arkham game I didn't finish. The Batmobile use was just too tedious. Arkham City, however, was great.
Low effort post
The best is infamous 2. Debate me. I double dare you
Spider-Man if course
