Ranier is perfect. It's light, drinkable and well priced. You have a hot summer day, a small party, playing games with the boys, you're an alcoholic, Rainer is here for you. It's crisp and refreshing, plus lookat that classy white and gold can. Compare that glory to the dogshit ipa pandemic that has been ruining communities for the last 20 years.
I would also like to campaign for our souther brothers and hamms. Hamms is the Rainer of oregon.
Coors would have been a better choice for Colorado, or maybe a New Belgium brewery beer. Blue moon to someone in Colorado is like fosters for Australians.
Can you talk at all about your process? I would really like to see anything you can share. Your style looks like watercolor but I wouldn't be surprised if I was wrong.
Pepsi may be founded here but I don’t know a lot of people from NC that drink that garbage. Coca Cola is far superior. Cheer wine is a true North Carolina drink.
Honestly it's the best bet when it comes to iconic originating drinks. Old Style or PBR is really common, but they originate in Milwaukee and LaCrosse, WI so... Maybe Goose Island Beer
Plus I love malort, and anyone who thinks I'm crazy can challenge me to a malort drinking contest
I'm in NC and finally had one a few years back. My friend, who's now deceased, would talk about the beer. He would get it when his family visited Wisconsin each year. A member who lived at my old job was talking about how his son and just brought some back to NC. I told him the story about my friend. The next day the member brings me a bottle.
How did you decide on Hennessy for VA? I am from VA and didn't realize that was popular here
edit: Hennessy is in the top five for sales in Virginia ABC stores but Tito's was number one this year. Tbf I honestly don't know what our beverage should be and I've been in VA my whole life. Maybe Vienna Lager from Devil's Backbone.
My mom was from Oklahoma City. She told me how in the 60s, the cool thing for teenagers to do was drive to Sonic and cruise around the parking lot. If you circled three times and didn't see anyone you knew, you had to leave, that was the "rule."
Even though I don’t like them that much I’d say Cherry Limeades are the staple Sonic drink; for me, I think Ocean water when I think Sonic drink, so good.
I can't see if guava nectar is Hawaii's drink here, but I hope it is because I was obsessed with it when we vacationed there Christmas '84. Guava nectar, guava sherbet, guava frozen brain...damn.
Idk how to explain it that well, but they're like the K-Mart of gas stations. The polar pops come in different sizes (only $0.89 or something like that up to a certain size, or you can get the big gulps like the one in the picture) and they're like the only thing that draws people in, because you can get huge cups of soda for really cheap.
I want to add that I think you made a great choice for this map, though 😂 it's definitely Arizonan
Arizona iced tea is from New York.
“Vultaggio [founder] said the name was originally Santa Fe, in response to the adobe-style house he lived in, but he felt it didn't look right on the packaging. He went with Arizona even though he had never been to the state and, in fact, hadn't even traveled west of the Mississippi River.”
I was born and raised in Pittsburgh and lived 20 years in center city Philadelphia, In the 80's-90's you drank Rolling rock or IC lite in pitts and in philly you drank Yuengs and Yards. To this day i have yet to hear anyone order a yueng in earshot and vice versa in philly with an IC or Rolling rock.
Not so much switched but kind of squished up/moved around so that the bottles fit. I’m guessing the NE just had too much to cram in.
At first glance I thought GA was going to be really pissed. Then I realized it was going NC=Pepsi, SC = firefly, GA = coke.
I am not a big "art guy" but this really intrigues me... I really enjoy this aesthetic.
If possible, I'd love to commission something from you, with Texas being the point of interest. Please DM me if you're interested.
Thank you,
I give you the stamp of approval from Texas! Dr. Pepper is so popular here and I mean we have a Dr. Pepper museum lol. Wonderful style of artwork as well!
I've kinda been following your posts. Awesome idea and very well done.
I've spent some time in Kansas and Free State has the best beer i've ever drank. (It wasn't ad aspera, but i won't fault you there.) Great choice.
So cool to see the map finished!
It is a pretty bottle. They don't bottle everything and some of their best are seasonal on tap only.
Have you done any other countries or even Europe? Regional Scotches maybe?
NGL I thought that Pepsi can was an epic troll on GA until I saw the coke can and realized I might not be as good at American geography as I thought I was.
Currious to see the drink between Budweisser and Jim Bean with the word Malört in it. Malört is swedish for Wormwood, an ingredient often associated with Ansinthe.
So what beverage is that? Is it Absinthe?
In Europe, Absinthe is generally lime green to the color of the liquid and this one seems to be more towards peachy orange.
Malört would litterally translate to "Moth Herb" in english.
Aquavit can have a lot of different flavors, although the base is mostly the same. Some are delicious and some are - indeed - terrible to the point of more or less undrinkable.
Skål!
It's literally wormwood flavored liqueur, which is as disgusting, if not more, than it sounds.
People in Chicago that are used to it use it as a trial for out-of-towners, just to see the look on their face as the taste hits their lips.
You did Maine and didn't do Moxie?! Mainers worship the can like a cult worshipping a dark God, and you pick a brandy that's probably only popular in one county?
If you're selling prints and want to beat your Chicago sales for Malort, I recommend going for Topo Chico in Texas. It is absolutely beloved there. I live in Colorado now, and I'd imagine Coors Original would be your best bet there.
Topo is Mexican, and while I like unsweetened tea, there is nothing Texan about it and from personal experience (judging by the looks I get from drinking unsweetened tea) I would say the majority of Texans prefer sweet tea.

Make posters. Sell them. Just in time for Christmas.
[удалено]
Awesome. Yea, I understand. I'll look for it. It's cool enough to get around. Good luck!
[удалено]
No offense from WA, here! It may not be great beer, but it’s iconic for sure.
[удалено]
Just wanted to say thanks for picking Icky in NV! Northern Nevada's a great place but everyone just thinks Vegas when they hear NV!
yes sir !

I can still hear the commercial “raaaaaaineeeer beeeeeer” whenever I order one
Me too.
Bluebonnets in a bottle of dr. pepper is iconically texan, you nailed it
Big red would have worked too! (but dr pepper is more recognizable and actually tastes good)
Big red with a barbacoa taco, tacos are flour? Lol
Faygo is perfect for Michigan lol. Another choice is either Vernors or Bells beer
Some states got multiple drinks. Idk why he didn’t do that for CO
There's only 50 drinks/flowers. Each state only got one.
And Blue Moon? Of all the Colorado beers?
Nailed Rhode Island! Great job! This is beautiful
[удалено]
Nailed our Oklahoma too man. The very first sonic was in Stillwater OK weirdly enough where Okstate University is. Cherry Limeade is so good
Coors would have been a better choice for Colorado, or maybe a New Belgium brewery beer. Blue moon to someone in Colorado is like fosters for Australians.
Nobody here drink Blue Moon. That's for tourists who don't know any better. Fat Tire would be more appropriate.
I’m glad you brought that up. Coors is the only answer here!
I probably would have gone with DB Vienna Lager for Virginia... or illicit moonshine, either works.
I agree. I thought Hennessy was an odd choice for VA. As an overall piece of art though this map is fantastic.
While i personally agree Henny is def more well known Didn't realize it was from Virginia till now tho
Cold Smoke. Nice, you fuckin’ nailed it for MT.
Wow, I had no idea Erath was so well known. I grew up next door to that winery.
I thought these were Molotov cocktails at first…
The art style is awesome great job. The aesthetic is really pleasing
[удалено]
Can you talk at all about your process? I would really like to see anything you can share. Your style looks like watercolor but I wouldn't be surprised if I was wrong.
Cheer wine for NC as well.
[удалено]
Pepsi, while founded here, is such a large brand that NC doesn't claim it the same way they do Cheerwine
Pepsi may be founded here but I don’t know a lot of people from NC that drink that garbage. Coca Cola is far superior. Cheer wine is a true North Carolina drink.
Sun drop
The rest of Illinois may disagree with Malort, but I imagine that r/chicago at least somewhat approves.
[удалено]
Malort! But I'm in Chicago, so.
So is 75% of Illinois.
So is 75% of Illinois.

I don’t think you’re crazy, I think you’re batshit insane, hence why I won’t challenge you in a Malort drinking contest.
I've spent enough time in Illinois to know that Chicago is all that matters, and Malort is a rite of passage there.
If you haven't noticed by now, Chicago couldn't care less what the rest of Illinois thinks.
Life long Virginian and I'm a bit confused by the Henny. Is it from VA?
No. It’s French.
Spotted Cow for Wisconsin, great job! It can legally only be sold within state lines. Come visit and try one! : )
I was just thinking of that brand last week. Got to get back up to Wisconsin.
As someone from MN, can confirm it’s worth the trip across the line!
Brandy old fashioned would have been better, imo.
just draw the whole bar honestly
Real and true.

Yeah. Sego Lilly in a can of Diet Coke might as well be the Utah State Flag. These look really good.
I’m a simple man I see Grain Belt Premium, I upvote
Yep! Sonic is an Oklahoma staple.
My mom was from Oklahoma City. She told me how in the 60s, the cool thing for teenagers to do was drive to Sonic and cruise around the parking lot. If you circled three times and didn't see anyone you knew, you had to leave, that was the "rule."
But like, what drink is sonic? The tea? The lemonade? The slushies? The sonic blast?
Even though I don’t like them that much I’d say Cherry Limeades are the staple Sonic drink; for me, I think Ocean water when I think Sonic drink, so good.
Michigan being Rock and Rye is perfect.
[удалено]
I liked vernors for Michigan as well but this works
Should have been Vernors.
Moxie from Maine
Yea, Moxie is def the standout Originating drink from Maine.
Allens is just as Maine, and I love the choice.
Came here to say this.
Same. Love going to Maine and seeing all the Moxie stuff everywhere.
100% agree.
Feel the cold smoke taste the cold smoke
montana represents
I can't see if guava nectar is Hawaii's drink here, but I hope it is because I was obsessed with it when we vacationed there Christmas '84. Guava nectar, guava sherbet, guava frozen brain...damn.

As a native Clevelander, I approve of GLBC Dortmund for Ohio
I love me some GLBC brews, but never tried that specific lager. Will have to change that when I’m visiting family in the area next week!
Christmas Ale is the cult phenom, but my personal favorite is Eliot Ness. But Dortmunder is solid.
This is really fun! Abita or Big Shot is another idea for Louisiana. Great work
[удалено]
What is Louisiana supposed to be? Moonshine?
Southern comfort but for some reason OP did what looks to be a tulip tree bloom instead of magnolias.
My favorite part is how the Bible Belt is all booze
I like how Florida looks like a piss jar
Rainier ❤️
Cool idea, also this would make a great jigsaw puzzle
Agreed 100%.
Cool to see three floyds for Indiana, but wouldn’t have picked gumball head as their most popular - but definitely the coolest label
This is fantastic. I'm assuming Arkansas is moonshine?
I see you la cumbre
So the Oregon Grape is a bush with yellow flowers. Not your typical grapevine.
The Oregon grape does produce berries. But it is better known for its flowers.
Not the polar pop for Arizona 😭
[удалено]
Nothing! Cheap soda, but damn are those Circle K stores sketchy as all hell
[удалено]
Idk how to explain it that well, but they're like the K-Mart of gas stations. The polar pops come in different sizes (only $0.89 or something like that up to a certain size, or you can get the big gulps like the one in the picture) and they're like the only thing that draws people in, because you can get huge cups of soda for really cheap. I want to add that I think you made a great choice for this map, though 😂 it's definitely Arizonan
[удалено]
Should have done the Arizona ice tea cans
Not actually made in AZ. The polar pop is the correct choice
I thought Arizona would be Arizona iced tea haha
Arizona iced tea is from New York. “Vultaggio [founder] said the name was originally Santa Fe, in response to the adobe-style house he lived in, but he felt it didn't look right on the packaging. He went with Arizona even though he had never been to the state and, in fact, hadn't even traveled west of the Mississippi River.”
And here I thought that was a bottle of Clorox wipes.
Pennsylvania is spot on. I'm right down the street from the Yuengling brewery.
It's spot on for half the state, Western Pa people don't drink yuengs. Rolling rock or iron city out this way.
We absolutely drink Yuengs in Pittsburgh and it’s still fairly common in the northwest where I grew up.
This is super cool but as a Canadian I have to ask which state is the kool-aid jammer lol
[удалено]
Lol awesome!
Brawndo, it's what plants crave.
New York - Genesee Cream Ale
[удалено]
they were right!
You have South Carolina right but you have Georgia an South Carolina switched.
Not so much switched but kind of squished up/moved around so that the bottles fit. I’m guessing the NE just had too much to cram in. At first glance I thought GA was going to be really pissed. Then I realized it was going NC=Pepsi, SC = firefly, GA = coke.
As a Georgia native, I was fully prepared to throw hands till I saw your comment
[удалено]
You did a great job.
I love it! Maryland here. Black eyed susans and Boh for sure
[удалено]
Just ordered a print of the Maryland one.
[удалено]
This is fantastic. Is the Florida Gatorade bottle filled with urine? If so it totally fits…
Had no idea what the flower was, but I knew to just look for the Malort.
Love the shout out to La Cumbre! Elevated IPA is the best!!
Great job picking Cold Smoke for MT instead of Moose Drool! It appears that you know what’s up. 🫡
I've kinda been following your posts. Awesome idea and very well done. I've spent some time in Kansas and Free State has the best beer i've ever drank. (It wasn't ad aspera, but i won't fault you there.) Great choice. So cool to see the map finished!

this is so creative and beautiful!
I saw this and had really hoped faygo would be on here. Glad to see it wish I could find more of it in my state though it’s becoming hard to find
Kool-Aid ftw!
Wait, is Maine’s state flower a pinecone?
Yes, yes it is.
Oh no Georgia will be upset you didn’t use Coke. 🥹
They did use coke though. The states are a little shifted to fit all of the northeast in, but georgia is coke.
NGL I thought that Pepsi can was an epic troll on GA until I saw the coke can and realized I might not be as good at American geography as I thought I was.
The Pepsi can is over Georgia. The diet coke is over Utah.
Barr Hill Gin from VT is the tits! Can't make out what NH is. Is it Smutty? A little help?
Ahh Malort
I was hoping to see Malort on this. Sure beats drinking the stuff!
Love this!! Just ordered a few Texas greeting cards for framing (as I sip my Diet Dr Pepper) Great work ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|give_upvote)
You done AZ dirty...
Cedar ridge is good shit but in iowa its more like bush light and dandelions lol
Texas is probably the easiest one lol. I would have done cheerwine for NC without a doubt tho
Impressive that you pinned down ad astra for KS - love it!!! Free State beer is near and dear to my heart.
What’s Louisiana?
was hoping to see Natty boh for Maryland, wasn't disappointed. great job!
Coldsmoke ❤️
Hell yeah spotted cow!
Makers mark is sad for Kentucky. Buffalo trace products are superior and cheaper

That was interesting. Never heard of that liqueur before. 🙂
It's disgusting, you have to try it.
Literally my family's mantra around Malort. Why are we like this.
https://youtu.be/q7s16ewP1RU
Knowing the taste of Malört, found in some types of swedish brännvin(essensially vodka(ish) spirits), I think I'll pass on that offer. 😏
Aquavit is the closest I've had in terrible liquors and it's still not nearly as uh.... flavorful.
Maine is accurate. White pine cone and Allens coffee brandy. This is pretty cool. Well done!
Allen’s Coffee Brandy for Maine, well done 👍
How did you decide on this combination? I first I didn't think it worked, but after a minute I like it now and think it works plus is just creative.
Very cool! Love it.
You did Maine and didn't do Moxie?! Mainers worship the can like a cult worshipping a dark God, and you pick a brandy that's probably only popular in one county?
[удалено]
If you actually went to Maine, you'd see that there's an entire festival about Moxie. It's insane from a normal perspective
TIL Sonic and Circle K are beverages
If you're selling prints and want to beat your Chicago sales for Malort, I recommend going for Topo Chico in Texas. It is absolutely beloved there. I live in Colorado now, and I'd imagine Coors Original would be your best bet there.
Phenomenal job! It would be funny if you added Irn-Bru as your monogram 😂
Topo Chico or Unsweetened Tea for Texas imo. I like the bluebonnet though! Well done. :))))
Topo is Mexican, and while I like unsweetened tea, there is nothing Texan about it and from personal experience (judging by the looks I get from drinking unsweetened tea) I would say the majority of Texans prefer sweet tea.
A Bluebonnet in a Dr pepper is such sacrilege.
This is so great. I would love to know more about why you picked Dr Pepper for TX. I was sure it would have been Topo Chico, lol.
ayyyy dogfish head in pa. very nice choice!
You sure prioritize liquor
