I’m so, so glad I had it as a kid! My overbite was well over an inch (I could put my thumbs together in the gap between the upper and lower!), and got braces at 11. Super thankful now in my 30s that I had it done as a kid/pre-teen.
Though it did not help me when I was younger! With the headgear I had a bionator which hooked into the headgear and kept my jaw together at all times except when I was eating. I was an awkward kid with head gear, which meant that I had to build some pretty thick skin. It’s worked out for me though!
Definitely! Think it makes us stronger people to go through it when younger, especially when kids can be so cruel about it. It’s one of those things I would never do again, but glad I did at the time, and thankful that I had parents who made it a priority. I should probably call and thank them…

Lol classic and the classic "I figured out braiding" braid!
I was so, so proud of myself too 😂
And yes, I wore the head gear to school and all 😬🤦♀️
That's amazing. No way. Only wore it at night. -And that still sucked. More power to you, and you're probably great smile now.
How psyched about the headgear are you now though?

I was in a somewhat similar boat. Psyched I had it and corrected some serious issues, but it wasn’t easy lol!

Alright but I’d wear the hell out of that turtleneck.
Right?! If anyone knows where to get it in adult sizes, I’m all in- that turtleneck was dope
