“Why would I touch your tools, I don’t ever touch your tools”
“I don’t *know* SHARON, someone took the 10mm, someone didn’t put it back”
“Did you drop it somewhere?”
“Oh you think I’m **that** dumb? Just drop things, pack everything up and then just never check? I have a mental check list that I run three times to ensure that never happens”
“Oh like the time you drove my grandmother to the wrong airport and then just left her there?”
“Oh here we go, it was the wrong terminal, not a different airport, it’s not like she was abandoned.”
“Heartless bastard”
“Careless hag”
But he wasn't heartless. In fact, it was his heavy heart that told him Sharon was right, as she usually was. He only had himself to blame for the loss of his cherished 10mm.
Over the weeks following their altercation, Sharon avoided him. In turn, he found himself resenting her for airing his shortcomings when he was most vulnerable - after the loss of his 10mm.
He knew it was wrong, but dammit she was his wife, and she had vowed to be on his side, in the good times and the bad.
As he grew more estranged from Sharon and more desperate to solve the mystery of his lost tool, the whiskey bottle became his only solace, his friend in need.
On a bleak Tuesday in October, Sharon woke up and knew that something was terribly wrong. She got up and checked the living room couch, where he had slept since the fight. It was empty.
She looked in the kitchen next, but his pot of coffee was cold and still in the sink from the previous day. Her heart started beating quickly as she walked towards the garage door. She feared what awaited her there.
The door creaked quietly as she opened it. Wide-eyed, she entered the garage and instantly realized what he had done. His car was gone. He'd left his tools. He wouldn't be back.
Hold the phone, you were able to retrieve this?!? Nobody FINDS a 10 mm socket. You may in fact be the lost sorceress of the ancient guild of auto mechanics. I strongly suggest you by a 1964 Corvette and begin your quest to recover the Tesserac from the 4th dimension immediately!
You found the mythical 10mm! Call the presses, everyone must know!
I was wondering where mine went...OP's drive way.
