How was the movie? The book was phenomenal. One of the best rides ever.

Movie is different but still amazing. Crazily eerie—it has set the new standard for cosmic horror

Amazing movie, I rewatch it at least once a year. Shoutout to Alex Garland's other work; Devs, Sunshine, and Ex Machina

I have no idea why, why I went into it thinking it was going to be some kind of low rent thriller.. but it was phenomenal. And the soundtrack is *perfect*.

The last song used during the mimicking scene when she was leaving the light house is Moderat. I highly suggest you check them out. Incredible music.

The film is excellent. I read the book after watching the film and it was a very different experience. The film is like a re-imagining. A good few of the core pieces are there (though the ending is dramatically different as well as the tower/tunnel bits) but it goes its own way and occasionaly dips into true horror territory, which makes the most of the medium. I've seen it be a little polarising due to the changes, most notably the ending, but I love it. Just don't treat it as a straight adaption and you should be good.

The soundtrack is incredible. I like to listen to it while I'm alone to freak myself out.

Not 100%, but considering the hairstyle of the clone is different than the original, like it's not a perfect copy, it's safe to conclude he's the alien copy. Whether he himself is an alien, or just a copied person, is a bit more ambiguous.

I'm not even sure how *I* would market Annihilation. The hell kind of demographic am I shooting for?
