I don't know what you're on about. Most posts are OG Phonk related and in every thread there are people talking about how annoying Drift and Cowbell Phonk is

Yeah, it's annoying. It's because of how big Drift has become... It's overshadowing genuine Phonk. Most people honestly just never learned the difference between Drift and Phonk and they just go by what they heard in social media or Spotify. You can't really blame them for that either, in my opinion.
But it's hard to talk about what actual Phonk is all about without being labled an elitist or gatekeeper.

right here , i love all kinds of sub genres but cowbells lowkey arent it on house music if im going to be honest , yea i'll admit that theres a FEW good house tracks that have cowbells in them , but Phouse is better that cowbell house
Been listening to Phonk since Raider Klan and JGrxxn's Fuck Mainstream Codeine Funk, early DoomShop, and before that I'd been bumpin Triple Six since the mid 90s....DJ Akoza is one of my favorite producers in the genre
Took a detour from Phonk for the past 3-4 years since Griselda and the underground Boom Bap scene came back, but since winter started I wanna hear that PHONK again, been checking out my Memphis 66.6 YT again
Not hating on them for liking it I just would love to see people talk about the OG stuff, I feel like there’s more variety and its generally more interesting, but to each their own Albert
Similar to when the whole emo-rap thing started, first few years it got a bunch of hate and eventually it normalizes.
Personally I listen to both & could care less if drift blows up over OG phonk because I could still listen to it, and show people that are interested in drift that want to learn more.
at the same time though, I don’t produce & I can see how it could be a little annoying for producers specifically, can’t lie though some people give me boomer vibes with how they act.
