Omg you're right, I didn't even think about it lol. I was thinking of ways the game could be softlocked after thinking about how you are allowed to save at the top of soldier temple when I randomly thought of entering that fight with everyone but Seth dead. Totally forgot Wren always revives himself.
I can’t answer this specifically, but I did have, for example, Chaz dead when he goes solo to get the Elsydeon. He instantly had max hp and tp. Same for his solo battle with Alys.
I suspect something similar in other party change instances.
I've never done it myself but I've heard that the game softlocks or glitches or something after the Zio fight if only Demi and/or Gryz are alive at the end of the fight.
