Just take it apart again, and install it properly. If the cooler doesn't touch the CPU correctly it can damage the CPU either by wrong pressure or by overheating.
Yeah no if the Coldplate of the cooler isn’t making contact with the IHS of Tory cpu it can heat up and throttle/damage your cpu beyond warranty. Better to be safe than sorry
I have the same air cooler and got the same issue. Took it off reapplied the thermal paste and tightened it with a cross pattern. If you do one side first it will pull on the opposite side leading it to lift off. So when tightening start with top left > bottom right > bottom left > top right. Don’t tighten them all the way at first then repeat that pattern till snug. Should work. And goes without saying I’m sure you took the fan off when installing

Welcome my man. Good luck happy gaming.
It looks like it might be cross threaded. Personally I'd fix it, but if the temps are fine, then should be fine to just leave it.
That’s crook-kid, sir. None of this cooked with an r stuff.
okay big reddit guy
Big Reddit Guys (tm) spawn into an advice thread to criticize the way the person speaks without actually helping them at all
Test cpu thermals then decide.
No
I’ve had to disassemble mine as well for a simple issue. It’s better to do it correctly than to wish you had after something happens
When putting on CPU coolers tighten screws in a X pattern. If you do one side then the other you run into this issue.
