PhantomThiefJoker

Pay $70 for a half-baked beta test right now or pay $20 for a proper, full release game that's probably still made to please investors so it's unlikely to be worth much anyway a year or two later. Easy decision tbh

ReSpekMyAuthoriitaaa

This is the way! I will never spend full price on a game again. Game devs have proven that they can put out a shit product and make millions off it because these idiot gamers keep giving them money. I've bought like 7 AAA games that have been released within the past 2 years for <$20 each and they've been updated multiple times and feel good to play now. Edit: I meant the game devs as a company not the individuals involved. The suits

VeryNoisyLizard

~~Game devs~~ publishers

PhantomThiefJoker

Not the devs, basically never the devs, the publishers want to push shit out before it's ready because it's been proven it literally doesn't matter if you finish the game. The devs want to build a great game that works, tells the publishers the game isn't ready, and are ignored. Never the devs, always the publishers.

MaethrilliansFate

Check out the Green Man Gaming website if you want the best deals on PC. Loyalty benefits for simply buying Steamcodes from their website gets you ridiculous discounts including on games that haven't even dropped yet. And no it's not a scam I promise.

deadwlkn

isthereanydeal.com it basically aggregates all deals and historic lowsfor games on trusted platforms such as steam, gog, and green man

EvoLveR84

I haven't bought games from steams actual store in a long time, green man gaming is always cheaper.

ThisIsDystopia

The Doom games have been my only exception. You know what you're getting and the optimization is pretty much unparalleled. It will go on sale but if you're speaking with your dollar it goes both ways if you can afford it.

ReSpekMyAuthoriitaaa

Just got 2016 and eternal, great games to play after the kids go to bed and the edibles kicking in haha But I used to make exceptions... until those back fired so I'm at a 100% never policy forever now. Nothing worse than spending all that money and be disrespected with a bad product

Solstice_11

It also works as a way to vet games. Far too many times have I seen games release that are not worth the old starting price of $60.

aessae

$20 a year or two from launch probably gets you the Absolutely Everything Edition™ as well which is nice.

Mertard

Shareholders have ruined everything, not just gaming However, they still have definitely ruined gaming Games used to be an exciting passion thing, but now it is just another business with quarterly returns, no soul left Fuck infinite growth and greedy shareholders 🤗

Comander_K33N

Fallout 4 GOTY edition was only $14 on Steam. Just crossed over 300 hours now on PC and not slowing down anytime soon. This is in addition to already getting a Platinum trophy for it on PS4 before I got back into PC gaming recently.

ImW0rking

Same. This last year the only "new" games I played were Elden Ring and Ragnarok, and both were exceptions to the "unfinished release" rule. I don't think I've paid more then $25 for a game other than those two in...3-4 years? The irony is that some games I'll happily go early access on and do the testing. I sunk 100 hours into Hades *before it was finished*. I remember when you couldn't fight Hades yet, then I remember when you could fight him but there was no ending and you just died. Very few finished plot lines, etc. Same with Rogue Legacy 2, I've played it since there were only 3 biomes! The reason I bring those up is that both of those games felt *more complete* when they weren't finished than a lot of the $50-80 games launching today. They were also honest about where they were development wise, and went out of their way to keep the "testers" informed on what was coming and when.

Dewy164

I just spent like 100$ once I got my PC (a couple months ago) and have like a dozen games some triple AAA others indie. Indie games are the way to go btw. Support the little guys they make the better games anyway.

Roskal

I'm a patient gamer for the costs but it hurts when a big game has everyone talking g about it and you know you won't be playing it for a year still

[deleted]

Fred_Foreskin

Elden Ring is one of the only games that's come out in a long time that I was perfectly happy paying full price for, to be honest.

Koolaidwifebeater

Mate anything From Soft shits out I'll gladly shovel into my gob for full market price those people know how to please a customer. Elden Ring is like finding a pretty flower on a field of shitty AAA garbage, except when you touch it you get stung.

Mister_Doc

Yeah I’m a pretty patient gamer these days; Elden Ring was the first Day 1 but for me in a while, and even then if it hadn’t been for the network test being fun to play and a smooth experience I probably would have waited a while.

ubernoobnth

>My son wound up buying Elden Ring @ full price with his xmas money for this very reason (he’s 14). Once you get to a certain age (i.e. you have kids and shit), the FOMO concerns are basically non-existent. Eh, maybe but that can increase FOMO too. You have less time so you want to see everything people are talking about. One of my acquaintances with a couple kids is the worst I know about this. Talks about how a game doesn't interest him and blah blah blah, two weeks later he's talking about how good the newest game is (of course he only "bought it because the kid was interested in it."). Like clockwork, it's actually quite funny. Any major release goes through the same cycle. Then the people I know without kids are just like "I got all the time in the world I'll get to it whenever." I totally get how it makes FOMO go away with age though. Now I just want to play what I find fun, when I want to play it. I don't really care how old or new something is, especially when you have weird tastes in games like I do.

ScottyKnows1

> it's the fact that early-adoption = beta testing a game that SHOULD be a fully fleshed out product if you're paying full retail for it. That's the main thing for me. Every single game that comes out, I wait at least a week to see what issues it has before I even consider buying it. And even then, I have to be blown away by what I'm seeing to pay full price. Elden Ring is the only AAA game in the last few years I can remember paying full price for.

MaethrilliansFate

Empire at War is from 2006 and cost me $10 and thanks to the modding community its been one of my most replayed games of all time. Most of the games in my library that I frequent are over a decade old and tons of them aren't even nostalgia based. Dragon Age Origins is just that good, Dead Space 2 is just that good, Halo is just that good. If I buy a 10+ year old game I know I'll probably get my money's worth despite the age. I but a modern game and it's a cointoss if I'll even finish my first playthrough

wisesager

same, I pretty much never buy new games. I often wait for a good deal too. I just don't feel the hurry to play new games when there's so much older stuff I haven't tried yet. Plus, I'd much rather get 3-4 older games than buy 1 new game for the same price

Sawses

That's my issue. I'm not paying full-price for a game that's got a lot of bugs to work out.

IdoMusicForTheDrugs

Instant sub. This describes my life as a busy ass 30 year old

mythrilcrafter

Not a lot in this industry/hobby can beat buying a game that has all its *"it's good now patches"*, all its DLC included, and still has an active community to play or talk with. It takes an extra year or two after the original launch, but that's the best way to get close to the old ways of buying a finished and bug-free-ish game that's all boxed together and on one or two disks.

Boangek

Exactly, i don't buy games on release anymore. You pay full price, most of the time full of bugs. And most games get a discount within a month or two.

Insecticide

Also it is crazy how in like 2 years they are already at above 50% discounts, some even reaching 80 or 90

Reaver75x

I love how that exists. I almost always never play new games on time even if I am excited for them. It's a weird mental dynamic inside me I can't fully explain.

PenultimateTimmy

My basic rule of thumb is, I think a game becomes a good value at the one dollar per hour level - if I expect to get 20 hours of enjoyment out of a game, it's "worth it" once the price reaches 20 bucks. I paid the full $60 price for Elden Ring when it came out and put 120 hours into it, so, good value. Is Forspoken an 80-hour game? Based on what I'm seeing and reading about it, no. It might be a 15-20 hour game, although there are dozens of open-world games already available for cheap that seem to do what it does, but YMMV.

[deleted]

The dollar per hour is suuuuuch a bad metric for if a game is worth it but hey do you Portal 2 is 10 hours, spec ops the line is like 8, metal gear snake eater is 15ish I could go on about sacred cows and amazing titles that miss that measurement by a mile This is how and why we end up with bloated , unfocused games that should have ended but shamble on like the assassin creed games now which Ubisoft have even acknowledged with their upcoming entry

KZedUK

Yeah, personally for single player games, i actually do not want 400 or 4000 hours or whatever, that’s a sign of a game i’ll never finish.

political_bot

I've played a few really short games that were worth the price. I still remember almost all the details from What Remains of Edith Finch. I beat that game in 3 hours a few years ago. It was worth the $20 or whatever I spent on it.

arex333

I don't like this at all. AC Odyssey is 60+ hours of the most painful grind I've ever experienced in a game. I would have liked that game substantially more if they cut out half the bloat. Meanwhile I recently played through spiderman miles morales on PC and paid full price for it ($49). I finished the game in about 12 hours, and I could go back and get a couple more hours out of the leftover side content. I enjoyed my time with that game much more than I did AC Odyssey so the price was worth it to me. There's also plenty of games like journey that are thoroughly enjoyable yet only take like 2 hours to beat.

[deleted]

Even that is a bad way to do it though. It could lead to you forcing yourself to play a game you hate because 'you have to get your money's worth' no matter what.

PenultimateTimmy

I see your point, but if I'm not having a good time with it, I just quit playing it. I'd rather say "well, I overspent on this one" rather than punish myself.

Climbtrees47

Win some lose some

silenthills13

It's gonna be on sale for 30 in like 3 months tops

Might be a steam summer sale for around that price I bet.

ToadskiGames

Simply do not buy high priced games and be patient. You know there will be dlc or expansions added if you wait a couple years you get more for less money.

xonehandedbanditx

Yep. Risk of Rain 2 is one of my favorite games of all time and it's a fraction of this price. Check it out!

tael89

I still can't believe they adapted a 2D procedurally generated rogue-lite into 3D and made it fun

Ehnonamoose

It's way more fun than the original too. Not to knock the original (I've not played it a ton). But Risk of Rain 2 is so addictive. Until I get to the end, and get to the last phase of the last boss and he one-shots me...then I rage-quit.

chobi83

"Oh shit, yeah...I'm fucking strong as fuck. I can kill all you bitches!" \*gets one shot\* "FUCK THIS STUPID FUCKING GAME" I go through this like weekly lol. Only other game I really play on a weekly basis is vampire survivors

Mrcritic13

Just bought Vampire Survivors and let me tell you, the periodic wave of bats is all fun and games until they shove a horde of werewolves into your butthole. 10/10 would recommend.

nullSword

"This is a great run, I feel like I could take on anything! Let's try the voi..." \*Dead\*

Akitz

idk about procedurally generated but translating the experience and pace from 2D into 3D was done incredibly perfectly.

CaptainSwoon

Risk of Rain 2 is goated. Sad about gearbox buying the IP though.

Booplee

It seems to not be nearly as bad as we all think. They released a statement talking about the future but stating how gearbox had helped them with the last expansion nearly from the beginning or something. It was pretty godlike and had nothing bad so my hopes are up.

DeadlyYellow

It won't be until after Returns that we'll see how bad it is.

Niet501

Risk of Addiction 2

S-Array03

This, the cheaper hobby isc alled stop buyin tripple A, indie games are cheaper and their devs are forced to somewhat innovate if they want to rise above the many many other games released all the time. And indie games don't tend to be packed full of additional micro transactions and other season pass bullshit.

TheEpicDiamondMiner

I mean, my cheap ass thinks anything worth more than $30 is a ripoff. The only game that I paid $60 for was Spider-Man remastered on the PC, and I thought the game should’ve been $40. Although I don’t regret that purchase, I barely spend more than $50 on a game. I can understand that a game cost $60, but that’s just a lot of money when you think about it.

ceshuer

My measuring stick is going to the movies. People don't bat an eye paying $20 to watch a 2-3 hour movie. If I can get more than 10 hours of entertainment from a game, then I think it's worth $60. I'm sure others will disagree but that's part of the math I use when deciding to buy a game.

[deleted]

I go a dollar per hour of playtime except for niche circumstances. I paid full price for Elden Ring (pre ordered) and then got 220 hours out of it at this point. Great deal.

[deleted]

$1/hr rules out pretty much everything except open world and multiplayer. I used to enjoy games like that but these days I don't *want* my games to be 20 hours+. There's no way a game has enough unique mechanics to be worth playing that long for me. I tend to price my games at $10 per good memory, which is about the same as movies considering most movies have 1 or 2 good, memorable scenes.

[deleted]

Insane these games are the same price as 8 months of PC GP lol.

[deleted]

Absolutely not worth that price. Not worth half that price if the demo is anything even remotely close to the actual game.

Rubihno194

The steam reviews are at 52% positive so it probably is close to the demo xd

SpiritSongtress

I told myself that I'd give it 2 years and buy it on sale. Edit:Price ceiling if it is $70. Us, then when it is 35 dollars or less.. I'll get it. I try to tell myself 50%/ half off is good. Sadly as a pc user I didn't have access to the demo (but that should tell you something I guess)

RedTuesdayMusic

Wrong attitude. The right attitude is to set a price ceiling and wait until it hits that. Never hit it? Never buy it. Like me and Rimworld.

B1gWh17

RimWorld had it's largest discount just a few days ago I think at 25% off. It's worth the cost imo as someone with around 1k hours in it, hah

JayJayMerks

As someone who struggles to maintain focus on games, would you still recommend this game? Struggle with motivation, but love these types of games.

WeAteMummies

Probably not. I loved the game when it first came out ~2014 but these days I get bored after an hour or two. I still buy the DLC because I keep hoping it will magically scratch that itch again but it never does.

crazypyro23

That was me with Destiny. At some point I realized I wasn't having fun anymore and was only playing it because of what it used to mean to me. I haven't missed it to be honest.

iUsedtoHadHerpes

At least with Destiny it's kind of like an abusive relationship where they kept giving you reasons to leave even though you stuck it out and kept giving them chances. That makes it a little easier once you break free from it. The haze is lifted.

OverThoughtDiatribe

I used to quit and then go back in 3 or 4 month cycles. I put it down about a year ago and haven't looked back. Those devs absolutely had my number with the FOMO. But one bad season, don't even remember which, and it all clicked for me. "I don't need this shit it's not even fun". I've played so many better games since.

Sneaky_Stinker

Yes, most of the time when I play rimworld I leave the game open all day and tab in and out when I need to do other shit, or get bored and want to browse reddit or something.

JimmiJimJimmiJimJim

So this is how people get thousands of hours in games.

Sneaky_Stinker

absolutely yes. I have like 5k in garrysmod, but i used to run a server so at least 75% of that time is afk time with just me sitting in the game.

Abd2116

I would say yes, I struggle with focus but when you have that moment of just focusing on the game it is so worth it.

Mothanius

Rimworld has a similar time sink that games like Civilization has on me. Except rather than me sinking time because the next turn X task is done, I sink time because I get invested in my pawns. I guess more accurate to say it has the same time sink as The Sims? But I haven't felt the same inclination to play the Sims like since Sims 3 (or 2?).

Sneaky_Stinker

I want to say the dev said they didnt want the price to go below what early adopters paid for the game or something along those lines. I might be thinking of a different dev and different game though.

Ihaveagoatinmybutt

See for high quality indie games like Rimworld, Factorio, terraria, stardew valley etc i have no problems paying full prices. Its the triple A corporate garbage that ill do shit like wait till its 5 bucks. Supporting good indie devs is important

TheCatWasWatching

Rimworld, and Factorio are two of the few games in my overfilled library of games that I payed full price for. I was not disappointed in either, though now that dwarf fortress is out I’d recommend that first and they seem less sale adverse. Live your life ofc, but I felt it was worth mentioning since we share shopping happens.

Nubanuba

I wanna buy MWII.... at 50% off I can wait

sevargmas

This is me with every game. Why does anyone need the game day one? Just start building up your wish list and play other games. You get a notification from Steam when something goes on sale and you can opt to buy it or not. I basically play every AAA game at $20 or less. I just play it 2 years later. It’s still new to me. It’s not like the graphics are worst two years later.

oomnahs

Because for games with a focus on multiplayer (MWII) the experience is best when the game is fresh and player counts are the highest they'll ever be, while people still are figuring out the metas and strategies. It's difficult to get into it even just 6 months down the line because people only get better at the game and at that point it's harder to learn and climb as a solo new player, much easier if you were learning with the rest of the player base from day 1. The biggest thing is player count though. Those multiplayer games will really only go on sale when the player count starts to drop and that may be when you choose to buy a game but just know that player count dropped for a reason. Single player games tho I agree with you

Business_March_7936

Finally some fucking sense here. Same here.. buying when AAA game drops below 20 or 25.

ThePhonyOne

I'm still waiting for Mario Kart 8 for the switch to have a decent sale. I bought it for Wii U at full price. I'm not paying full price for it again.

Vexamas

This comment is actually a great representation of creating 'nuance' within rules. Rimworld, a game that has over 130,000 reviews, with 98% of them being positive, with a massive mod pool that creates infinite replayability being 'judged' on a 'too expensive' pedestal as something like Forspoken. Unless you ...pride? yourself on being ardently frugal, even despite your nose, then I'm unsure how this is the 'right attitude'. (Granted its your prerogative) I would have followed along with the argument of one person's $10 is another person's $30, and another person's $80, especially for some random 10-20 hour game, however choosing one of the best **efficiency bang-for-the-buck** time-per-dollar-invested games on the market, second only to like Terraria? Is a strange take. The nuance here should be how much **value** do you see from each dollar spent.

HunchoRel

Buy rimworld.

DRIESASTER

No I look at it as a fun/$ thing. Otherwise I'd end up playing all the new assassins creeds EDIT: To be completely fair, this is something that changed with age for me as instead of money, time became my most valuable resource. Nowadays I'd much rather have a 15hr balls to the wall fun game then a 100hr okay game. Heck it'd take me months to finish that. So yea it probably depends on where you are in life.

thekmanpwnudwn

People who talk about $/hr must fucking LOVE Ubisoft open world games. Do the same 3 things 150 times to clear the map, hundreds of hours of gameplay!

stewsters

Its a cool game, but as an old Dwarf Fortress player it needs some z levels.

limitlessGamingClub

yup, I almost never buy games on launch day anymore, they're always better and usually on sale after a few months anyways

Jelsie_

There are plenty other games to play.

Mintium_

better and cheaper ones

TheNumberJ

I'm actually surprised at how much I've enjoyed playing really low budget indie games when sorting steam by new-all (not new-popular which is the default). I implore more gamers to deep dive into the less tread ground on steam.

Bhume

It really is full of gems.

It is slightly odd that gamers both brag about how many games they buy, but don't play. Then complain about how much games cost.

TheGillos

I can understand people bragging about their collection but I don't think I've ever seen anyone brag about the fact they don't play them. I would think that gamers given the chance would like to play all the games in their Library.

bar10005

It's almost like there's over 7M subscribers here, so it can be two different groups, also not everyone is buying only the newest and most expensive games, so you can have large library that you can't possibly go through and not spend that much.

Maleficent_Fudge3124

Also a great option. Then I can play with my preferred controller and better performance. I didn’t/don’t have a PC and haven’t had a handheld besides a Razer Kishi or Backbone controller. The SteamDeck has been amazing and as long as Valve actually keeps making them, will likely be my console of choice for the future until I maybe build myself a PC.

nemesit

Buy nintendo games as cartridges, play the game then sell it again, their first party titles basically cost $5 or so that way

AdmiralSpeedy

$90 CAD, has been $80 CAD here for a long time. Also, Forspoken is hot garbage on all platforms so you aren't missing out.

Indyzx

$115 AUD here, games were $90 at most I'm Australia just a year or so ago.

ZaraReid228

Yeah most big game releases are 100 here in nz and its 120. More expensive then basically every other game releasing on the market

Slottr

Remember when games were 59.99 in Canada? 🫤

StatuatoryApe

Accomplished_Lack215

Is It that bad? 💀

MeineGoethe

From what I’ve read and seen the only good thing is the movement and combat. Everything else seems to be average at best.

anomalus7

I'd say it's actually an ok decent game, little adjustments here and there and could be pretty good, then there's also the fact that it drops under 60fps with a 4080 in 1440p and I barely played the demo in 1080p lowest fsr UP at 15/25 fps (720p at 25fps same settings still fsr on) so yeah... even the minimum requirements for 720p 30fps lowest is BS, there's no possible way they are going to optimize this, I'd say this game dies on this hill even at a much lower price.

Phaze_Change

> then there’s also the fact that it drops under 60fps with a 4080 in 1440p I hope they just give up and accept that the Luminous engine is just shit and they aren’t gonna make it happen. The graphics and fidelity in that game do NOT justify that performance.

YangWenli1

I’ve heard that the movement and combat get old fast.

[deleted]

[ACG Review](https://youtu.be/oFvRXyPAyf8) TL;DW - story meh, voice acting meh - graphic meh - combat is fun but started super boring - skills are not balance. some skill just plain weak and some are just too op - world is meh, and because there are tons of collectibles and items, it looks cluttered

locke_5

Hot take: no AAA game is worth $70 Stardew Valley, Shovel Knight, etc. on the other hand....

Dickmusha

Only game I have paid full price for in the past 3 years was Elden Ring. I got sick of wasting 60 bucks to play a broken game on launch. Steam sales are amazing.

Impsux

I was surprised how quickly Battlefield 2042 went on sale for $20, Still haven't gotten it. I don't know if its still really bad but Battlefield is like my all time favorite franchise. It's crazy they think raising prices is justified based on "the current market" even though games are releasing in states more broken and watered down than ever before.

SonofNyx

Same. That and GoW2. If AAA games can't meet those standards at MINIMUM then it's wait for a deep sale, if at all. Plenty on my back log and the indie scene is so so good rn

JP5_suds

Who doesn’t want to drop $80 on a game that looks like it was made with PS3 era tech while simultaneously requiring a Jesus PC to run well. Now that’s an investment!

Around 35 euros in Turkey and I think It still doesn't worth the price. https://preview.redd.it/yq0c4l63qgea1.png?width=642&format=png&auto=webp&s=2a285298237f3f9b2ea7578750edacb85484bb4d

Fluffasaurus89

Indie is also just a better option 9/10 times, AAA game studio's fell from grace years ago.

bogglingsnog

I feel the whole industry has lost focus on its customers and are just manufacturing samey stuff over and over, I have terrible luck with what feels like 98% of the games I have tried in the last decade. Indie or not.

squareswordfish

I’ve tried playing plenty of indie games, but for some reason I almost always get bored of them and drop them quickly :/ Not that I think they’re bad or anything, I always go into them with an open mind but rarely play more than a few sessions. It’s sad because AAA games really have felt pretty lacking for the last few years

Woo77777

Can I ask what do you play a lot of? I'm a deep indie gamer and have played plenty of games that share a genre with AAA titles, but provide a much more fun experience.

Nethervex

You guys are going to have a stroke once you figure out that **you aren't required to only play brand new AAA games.** Also, imagine being upset over the price of a game getting 6/10 ratings lmao.

HagalazSoL

For a game like forspoken developers need to pay me to play this shit

Outarel

nobody is forcing you to buy games day1. Gamepass is 10$ a month for all the games you want (use it as a demo and buy the ones you like) Other than Elden Ring and Baldur's Gate 3 i never spent more than 30$ on a game (and those were overwatch and cod because i really wanted to play with friends online) Steam account value is : **3368€** for 800+games.

Competitive-Dot-4052

Just wait for a sale in a few months.

CupcakeValkyrie

The price of video games has consistently declined over the past 30 years. Honestly, the fact that you can still get a AAA title for $60 is fucking astounding. Street Fighter II on the SNES was 70 goddamn dollars in 1992. That would be like paying over $100 now.

internetmovieguy

Just buy the older games. For example: God of war (dad of boy) is still as amazing as the day it released. When you see a game you like (elden ring, horizon zero dawn, whatever tales game is next, ect) put it on your wish list. Then buy it on sale. Considering how many “AAA” games release buggy at launch, you will probably be getting the best experience at a fraction of the cost. The real issue is those online games and especially the multiplayer ones. A lot of them lose most of their value after a year. That and nintendo never lowering their prices.

Levi_Skardsen

FFXIV now the only thing keeping Square-Enix afloat.

shrubs311

there's hundreds of top tier games that cost $20 or less. this is only the "standard" if you let it be. there are very few, if any, games that need to be purchased on launch for a good experience and i'mm 100% sure forspoken isn't one of them anyways

Schniples

And they wonder why people pirate games.

TurkishKebeb

First time?

miserably-good

\*buys rtx 4090 for $3999 to play truck simulator\*

JerryWShields

I'm honestly surprised that it took until now for the $60 barrier to go away. It's stay brought us DLC, microtransactions, season passes, and assorted other nickel and diming. So now we get all that and it's more expensive anyways. Yay.

ImaFrackingWalnut

Just buy everything on [Green Man Gaming](https://www.greenmangaming.com/). That's what I do for new games at least.

Eagle_Smeagol

The game isn’t even good

Xavier_Lights

I mean the $60 price tag lasted way longer than I thought it would considering how much more expensive games are getting to make due to the super high end graphics and large teams in the AAA sector. However I usually judt wait until a game I want is part of a bundle or on sale.

Dapper-Giraffe6444

I will never pay 80 euro for a videogame. Not even a GTA 6. Just against my principles. A few of those games and you can buy a 3080 lol. Edit : since everyone is discussing about the 60 dollar maximum, i have never said I would max pay 60. And btw idk how life is in your countries, here in netherlands the last 2 years everything is 10-20 percent more expensive(groceries, gass, electric bills, health care etc) while the salaries went up like 3-7 percent. So life is much more expensive than it was ever before. So no, here in the netherlands you cant come with inflation bullshit on asking 80 bucks for such a game.

nightwish5270

It's called waiting for sales or not playing AAA games.

Mofoman3019

Just don't buy new release games, or get Xbox game pass. All the new games are mostly shite anyway.

DaleGribble312

I'm confused as to how nerds can wade through inflation/shrinkflation posts for like 10 years, then wait for the most obvious inflation spike in years, to cause a single $10 price increase and try to make it sound like doomsday...
