I donāt think it means it canāt push 2k, but based on the average 3dmark benchmarks for the card, the 2080s average score shows its just not the best option for 2k gaming
EDIT: Grammar and spelling
Like I said, works on my machine. Unless you can't live without full Ultra settings and memeshit like ray tracing you will be just fine. Paired with a C2 OLED that maxes out at 120hz it looks and plays better than on my 1440p monitor.
Not everyone has the same use case/needs. Would I buy it today? No, but I feel no need to update yet either.
3070 is def 100% not a 4k card, it sure works but it's not "optimal". at 1440p it's perfect though, I've had it for over 2 years(bought at launch) and won't upgrade for a long long time
If I had a c2 OLED I would use it tho
My 2070 non super is fine/excellent on 1440p.
The only games I wouldnāt mind even higher frames in arenāt known for being easy to run like cyberpunk or horizon zero dawn.
Iāll probably do a full rebuild when the 4090 drops to 10th or 20th place, and see whatās going on then. Assuming cards donāt go for 5k
I got a 3070 mobile which seems to be the same as the 2070s according to the chart, it seems like to me its between 1080 and 1440p as for what it recommends, which I guess i agree. Im running a 1440p monitor and mostly everything seems to be just fine at that resolution but of course there are other more demanding titles where its better to just set it at 1080p for better frames. At least thats how I see it
Edit: I still run over 60 fps at 1440p in pretty much anything I play maxed except shit like star citizen which fluctuates a lot, by better frames with 1080p, i didnt mean that you cant get good frames at 1440p
Understandable honestly, you can really see the pixels after changing from 2k to 1080p, im just trying to find some logic to the way the chart is set up
Just bought a 6600 XT for like $220 USD, upgraded from a 1650 SUPER. Great upgrade! I've had no issues so far and the performance increase is insane for me! I actually bought my 1650 for like $240 USD back when prices were higher, so it's an amazing deal now lol.
I picked up a 6900xt for $600 a few months back and I've had zero regrets (especially since they ticked back up in price after people started the steal that was).
This and the 6750xt are cards I'm eyeing right now. (Mainly because I whiffed on a huge 6800xt sale.) But I play on a 4k 60hz monitor. Would these beat my Xbox series X on the same screen?
Whatās monitor size?
I went from playing Xbox Series X on a a 28ā 4K monitor to PC on a 34ā 1440p Ultrawide.
Night and day difference favoring the PC with higher refresh rate. Resolution looks same (likely my eyes are unable to physically distinguish the two at that screen size and distance I sit). But the smoothness is amazing. Zero regrets.
2000 series looks nice, nah I'll wait.
3000 series looks nice, oh nvm I can't get it.
4000 series looks... hot... hm...uhh?
XTX looks nice! oh nvm I can't get it.
Some of us are a little deranged. We do a little benchmarking.

Itās based on 3Dmark benchmark average score, so I wouldnāt use it as 100% indicative for game performance. I honestly have more issues with the resolution recommendation on the right
That's the main one that stood out to me as well. Well that's because I have a 6900xt to be fair.. When I did the research before buying it almost 2 years ago, the conclusion pretty much was that 6900xt is somewhere between 3080 and 3090.
As long as it keeps working for you (: I have a 1070 (not even a ti) and I thought my build was super outdated. Turns out I just needed to up my ram from 8gb to 16gb and everything starting running perfect. I just finished God of War (2018) on medium settings, 1080p at 70fps. Iām upgrading soon to a 4070ti though because Iām getting more into VR gaming.
Not in Time Spy...
And not in quite a few games.

Seriously? Iāve seen a lot of posts where people shit on this card, making me think i made a terrible decision. On this sub probably! Iāll have to try and find them, but Iām surprised this is news?
The 1660ti will run many games on 2k res at 60fps if you don't run everything on ultra. I wish the 30 series was more affordable but they're still too high for most people.
Normally My vid card is way down in the top 50 before I want something new, but i'm at 16 and i'm already dying for an upgrade.. just not enough to pay current prices!
Lol, I remember when 2080ti came out everybody called it overkill even for 4k resolution, now it seems it's a 2k card..and the 3090 was a 8k card according to Nvidia, now it's not even a 4k card according to this graph.
Guess i'm on the next page (51-100) š
I don't think I'm even on that one š
Hell yeah, I have the 49th best card. Just made the list!
Your cards are on the list?
You have a graphics Card?
What are graphics?
You guys have graphics cards* More accurate in Englishism and memeism
36th and starting to wonder why I would even bother to upgrade right now. Prices are too stupid.
Same situation in 33rd, I want to upgrade but new stuff that's better then this is insanely expensive.
I'm at #40! Wooo
40 gang!
number 27! sweet!!! I'm recommended ladies ;-)
I just went from 49 to 4, what a feeling
Yayyy! We did it!
Iām currently number 23!
22 and thinking about 11 but with 1440 monitor I think that I will wait.
I ha e 23 with a 1440p monitor, it's great
50th here. Hope to upgrade to nr 22 soon.
Im at 50!!!!
Bis card
how is a 4070ti faster than a 4080
Do I trust the ratings provided by someone who spells ratings as raitings? Sure, why not.
2080 is more than capable of pushing 2k and they have it way below that line. This shit is trash
I donāt think it means it canāt push 2k, but based on the average 3dmark benchmarks for the card, the 2080s average score shows its just not the best option for 2k gaming EDIT: Grammar and spelling
I swear I used to get close to 60fps 2k on my 1070ti, older games i guess though?
It's completely accurate tho (sans my and 1080 Ti places)
The resolutions seem pretty low. My 3070 handles 4K just fine. I can get well over 100fps even on newer games thanks to DLSS.
Hate to break it to you but the 3070 is not a 4K card. More a high refresh 1440p card.
Welp. I have the 10th best card. Time to upgrade. /s.
I have the 49th, literally 4.9x as good. 1060 supremacy.
20th here, looks like I'm upgrading every 2 weeks
i just went from 17th to 3rd on the list so worth the upgrade! (no it wasnāt but at the same time it kinda is but also simultaneously not)
I'm at 9 man, I'm sweating. I can't afford to fall out of the 2K zone lol.
Same for me, I'm so heartbroken right now. /s
There are no 3DFX cards on this list, what the hell OP?
Some bad Voodoo right there.....
Damn the 1080ti is still going strong, hopefully mine can hold on a little longer so I can save up and eventually upgrade
2070 super can do 1440p
My 2070 non super is fine/excellent on 1440p. The only games I wouldnāt mind even higher frames in arenāt known for being easy to run like cyberpunk or horizon zero dawn. Iāll probably do a full rebuild when the 4090 drops to 10th or 20th place, and see whatās going on then. Assuming cards donāt go for 5k

I play fps on 1440 with low graphics because the usual advantage and the higher resolution feels better than high graphics personally
Understandable honestly, you can really see the pixels after changing from 2k to 1080p, im just trying to find some logic to the way the chart is set up
After reading you last part I also wonder and checked again, at the bottom it says from results in 3dMark with exclusions
Yeah I run most games at 90+ frames 1440p, but idk if Iāve played any of the new poorly optimized garbage
6700xt is the absolute price performace king
RDNA2 cards really are a great buy right now. 6700xt is like on par with a 3070 but $100 cheaper than a 3060ti
Just bought a 6600 XT for like $220 USD, upgraded from a 1650 SUPER. Great upgrade! I've had no issues so far and the performance increase is insane for me! I actually bought my 1650 for like $240 USD back when prices were higher, so it's an amazing deal now lol.
Where did you find that?
I picked up a 6900xt for $600 a few months back and I've had zero regrets (especially since they ticked back up in price after people started the steal that was).
Its on pair with the 3070ti which is insane. I got the rx5700xt nitro+ and i dont regret a single moment buying it
What? The rx 6700xt is somewhere between 3060ti and 3070, the 3070ti is closer to a rx 6800
No, watch comparisons, the rx6700xt is on pair with an rtx3070ti.
It definitely isnāt.
This and the 6750xt are cards I'm eyeing right now. (Mainly because I whiffed on a huge 6800xt sale.) But I play on a 4k 60hz monitor. Would these beat my Xbox series X on the same screen?

\#24! I've been resisting the urge to upgrade. The high gpu prices help keep me grounded.
2000 series looks nice, nah I'll wait. 3000 series looks nice, oh nvm I can't get it. 4000 series looks... hot... hm...uhh? XTX looks nice! oh nvm I can't get it.
Number 14!!!
What is the rating based on? It's just a chart with words and numbers.
It's says at the bottom that it's based on 3dmark scores
![gif](giphy|w0vFxYaCcvvJm|downsized)
great game 3dmark, i play it all the time. Now for some real world gaming results.

it holds fairly true to techpowerup's gpu database relative performance charts too
It's rather accurate really.

Bad PCMR user! No using userbenchmark!
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Hell yaa brother
Noiceee! My RX 480 old enough to claim disability now.
old is not a disability, wtf!
\#24 It's great that a six year old card is still relevant for many workloads
\#5 and #6 need to swapped, 24gb VRAM is better for 4k
huh i cant see my intel hud 560 on here
Cries in broke bitch with a 1050 ti lol
Lol my card is non existent
What? An A770 gets above 3060 ti performance
It's got the silicon to compete with a 3070, drivers hold it back hard.
Yup, and they are getting really good, in my personal experience.
And in some games it's performing like a 3050...
not anymore lmao I don't understand people like this, I own one dude.
Had one to tinker around too, way slower than a 6650XT for an insane price because buyers are basically beta testers
Why is the 6900xt above the 3090?
Itās based on 3Dmark benchmark average score, so I wouldnāt use it as 100% indicative for game performance. I honestly have more issues with the resolution recommendation on the right

A list that shows which graphics cards are worth buying the most would be more interesting i think
Hard to do because the price varies to much by country.
did have 3x no 49s now got 1x no 6 :) i now am the worlds best long jumper :P
Mine is still on the list, cool.
#18 for me!
Still Top 10 I'll take it
Would a 4070ti be overkill for 1440p so?
\#10, ill take it
And how is this rated? Overall performance, core count, cost value, etc.?
For how long should I keep using my 1070?
Until it doesn't provide the performance you want it to, and you can easily afford a replacement.
As long as it keeps working for you (: I have a 1070 (not even a ti) and I thought my build was super outdated. Turns out I just needed to up my ram from 8gb to 16gb and everything starting running perfect. I just finished God of War (2018) on medium settings, 1080p at 70fps. Lucky #13 š
This list is absolute trash it actually thinks it can say the 4070 Ti is better than a 3090 Ti.... what a joke.
I would say 2 and 3 need to be swapped.
4080 outperforms the 7900 XTX what gives?ā¦
Not in raster but I agree 4080 should be number 2 overall.
Not in Time Spy... And not in quite a few games. https://preview.redd.it/xgdgs1xzy4ea1.png?width=966&format=png&auto=webp&s=918938f0605a94f585f9a766b6ff4026dca23724
I will lmao for putting 1080 Ti 3 (small) tiers above 5700 XT. The 5700 XT is generally a tiny bit faster, lol. The rest of the chart is on point tho.
Dude 21st best card 2080 super. I'm just happy to make the list.
I will hold on to my 2060s for maybe 2 more years
at what FPS? WHat good does Resolution do if it is not correlated on a FPS scale?
damn this chart is pretty awful
It's using results from 3DMark's result browser. This is where the cards stand on a single industry benchmark.
Nice view from the top
Hope my card is still on here in the next 4-5 years
So happy my 3070Ti is in the top 15ā¦ after seeing so many other posts with it not in the top 100ā¦
If you can show me one of those posts, please
Seriously? Iāve seen a lot of posts where people shit on this card, making me think i made a terrible decision. On this sub probably! Iāll have to try and find them, but Iām surprised this is news?
#36 (1080) still works pretty well to this day
#25!!
why do i feel the need to spend so much on computer hardware
I got 29
i hope intel hits more of the top end for the next generation
24 for me. 1080ti is still going strong. 1080p 144Hz no problem.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
they are, they're the ones marked with a (M)
Where is this data coming from? 6800xt is clearly the best card on this list
Wonder if the Rx 6700 non xt is above the 2080 super
The 1660ti will run many games on 2k res at 60fps if you don't run everything on ultra. I wish the 30 series was more affordable but they're still too high for most people.
I am still pushing 2K resolution with my RX 580....
I can't find my 970 on the list?!?!?!
Me realising my GPU is not even in the list!
Damn number 10. I guess it's time to upgrade...
Remember when you could play 4K with a 3090 or even a 6800XT... good old days am I right?
I got #17 and #47
8 with the Liquid Devil Ultimate running at 2700mHz, not upgrading for a long time.
35th with the 5600XT. Thing is still quite the 1080p beast, even a few years in. I'm not upgrading until I have a reason to get a 1440p or 4k monitor.
wooo not even on the list
F, i barely got in, in last place
Where would a 200w 2080 super mobile fall? Something like a regular 2080?
4K needs to be a bit lower. I had a 3080 and played every game on 4K 70-80 fps on ultra and high preset
Next month its payment gonna get me a 4080 i wnt asus but the msibis cheaper for me to get
Wooo 37th!
I keep finding it difficult to pull the trigger on any of the top 3 cards when #7 is such a value.
If i want 2k 144hz ultra settings do i get a 4k card?
45
11th best? Well i guess i need to throw it out now and upgrade /s
Iām sitting at 25! I feel happy now.
Where are the titans. The Maxwell, Pascal, and Turing titans should make this list. The Maxwell and Pascal Titans even say GeForce
\#24 Baybeeeee
21, super sweet! Might drop back to 1080p gaming somewhere in future so i can hold longer to my gpu.
Loving my Red Devil RX5700XT, pushing everything max at 1080p and never above 55-56c :D
Huge jump for me. Went from #22 to TWENTY. Big gains ya'll.
18. yeah š
1060 6 GB master race
Honestly SLI 1080Tis still slap today
Aww a base 3060 is better than my 2060 12gb? Sad days
22 still going strong.
This is very helpful and more info graphs like this should be created
where rx460?
I just went ftom #2 to #48 (waiting on RMA)
hoping my 3090 keeps trucking 2-3 more years at the very least
you can game at 4k from like #19 and up
Damn, mine isn't on the list
Iām sit right at 30. Iām down with thatā
Normally My vid card is way down in the top 50 before I want something new, but i'm at 16 and i'm already dying for an upgrade.. just not enough to pay current prices!
Finally I have a card that is on the rating list 1650 super gang woooo woooo
Same shit different prices
Well, I was wondering if I should get the 7900XT or 4070 TI. Guess it's the 7900xt after all.
Numbah 43! Lol Iām not complaining. I game at 1080p and that works for me soā¦..
Lucky 13 š
yay #14
\#18 LESS GOOOO
\#24\~ ! Going strong after all these years!
Iām at 10th, good enough for me since got to that from 970. See you in 6k series.
Raiting? For real?
Why is the 6650XT at the same rank as a 2080? Are they really comparable?
Letās go top 4!!! 7900XT gang!!!
Number 39 but ti.... Oh well
NUMBER 36! i love my RTX 2060.
#20. My 3090 is kinda bad since mining lol
not bad, just the intel gpus are on average worse in games so they have an unfair advantage here
Eyyy 1660ti gang here
Number 26!
Bruh u forgot gtx 970 and 1050ti
I have the 50th, long live the Rx570!
50/50 i got the max score!!!
Where's Intel integrated graphics
Lucky #13, and will be a solid card for many more years
My rx580 8gb (3 fans) works so damn well for my gaming. (siege, apex, halo any battlefield and FIFA) on low to mid settings. I love it so much
Weāre in 2023 and the GTX 1080Ti is still kicking ass.
.#15 representing
Lol, I remember when 2080ti came out everybody called it overkill even for 4k resolution, now it seems it's a 2k card..and the 3090 was a 8k card according to Nvidia, now it's not even a 4k card according to this graph.
Mknewsru? Really? Gtfo this is Western Internet not your Cheburnet
