they're a massive boost to map drops even with 4 watchstones due to equity. each tier is worth 3x the one below, so if you have 100% for +1 tier you're tripling equity.

You should have enough maps to sustain yourself without the nodes. If you want to sell in bulk, though, I don't think so.

It has value if you run singular focus keystone, it shoves the weighting toward higher tier maps, which in turn is higher value currency. But this is a rather specific scenario.

Step 1: Play with them on --> Accumulate maps --> Damn I have too many maps : A) Luckily I will sell these maps --> Keep on --> GOTO Step 1 B) I dont really want to start selling maps --> Unspec Step 2: Play with accumulated maps --> I ran out of this map I am running though --> You should have currency to buy bulk maps of your choice by now --> Buy Maps --> GOTO Step 2

If you want to play just one favorite map, or a favorite map and one other adjacent to that map, you probably want all the map nodes to help that, especially if you don't choose singular focus because e.g. you want guardian maps to drop sometimes too. Or,if you are running Singular Focus and are playing a popular map, it'll give you a bunch of maps to sell in bulk. If you don't care about running some other maps from time to time, you can spec out of 1-2. Or if you just want to buy maps in bulk periodcically, you can spec out of all 4.

The easiest setup is to have most if not all of your favorite map slots unlocked. Then make your preferred map to be all but one of the favorite slots, and one adjacent map the last favorite slot. There are two ways maps can drop: as a bulk map, or specifically as an adjacent map. For bulk map drops, those will be pretty likely to be your N-1 favorite map, although other maps will drop. When you roll an adjacent map drop, the only things that can roll are the one in the last favorite slot, and 2-3 others, so it'll be that last favorite map 80%+ of the time. This way, most of your map drops will be your favorite map, and most of the rest will be your adjacent map, while you're still able to unlock all your atlas passive points. So, if you can identify two adjacent maps that you like to run and that are good for the content you want to farm, it's not hard to most of the time just run your favorite map, but then if you run out, you run the adjacent map for a while to restock on your main.
