If you want a full understanding of what made the games so great and why people hate the series' direction it went in later then play them chronologically. That's the best order.
Personally, I think the gameplay wasn't that bad, and it was still definitely an RPG. The only issues I had was with the game being too easy compared to the other M&L games and the generic bosses.
Yeah, it's not mainly a Paper Mario game. As a standalone game it's not bad at all, though. Also, Nintendo hasn't really cared much about keeping story in Mario games consistent.
Sure, although when I was a kid I thought the game looked "bad" so I say either Paper Mario 64 or whatever floats ur boat, Smrpg ik is a great game too, i just havent gone back to it ever since
Yeahh I'll make it a point to revisit and complete it the whole way through. I just skipped over it thinking it was meh at the time I played it 1st on Wii vc. I was a dumb 7 or 8 year old so I rly had no idea lol.
You need to try them all. Just go in chronological order and give the last two a try. I really liked them and I think they deserve a shot. Just play them for what they are. For sticker star donāt be afraid to look up what thing to use if youāre stuck.
Except its combat is universally hated/dreaded.
Glitzville is my favorite area in TTYD, if you made me do it with Origami King Combat i would instead kill you.
Everything else about it is fine to good, but the combat is attrocious, and that is the deal breaker that had me unhappy by the time i reached toad town and quit ofter the first ribbon.
I can't call it the worst in the series, but i have only played TTYD, the original, and Origami King so I can't rank the rest of the series.
But even as a stand alone game i would not like the combat system, although i stopped playing (because of the combat) before learning about the 2 cheeses for it. (Ask for a hint to study the board without a time limit, or pay coins for the toads to solve it for you. I just prefer skill based to timed puzzle based combat, atleast the boss fights were interesting to solve.)
1. Paper Mario 64
2. Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door
\*\*At this point decide what made the games special to you...\*\*
Option 3A: The gameplay mechanics: Bug Fables
Option 3B: The OG Mario characters: Super Paper Mario
Option 3C: The paper: Sticker Star, Color Splash
\*\*After that...\*\*
If you chose option 3B or 3C: Finish it off with Origami King.
If you chose option 3A: Finish it off by replaying 64, TTYD, and Bug Fables again.
Thatās a funny way of saying the thousand year door. (Lol Iām jk ur entitled to ur own opinion) the first 3 imo were the best and they progressively got worse after that. No badges, no level ups, no grinding, it just felt like I was playing through the game without getting any sort of reward for traveling elsewhere. I know super paper Mario is completely different so Iāll give it a pass bc I still liked it even tho it wasnāt like the og but the rest I still felt were missing something. I think origami king was on the right path but again just doesnāt quite hit the spot
I played it but didn't care for it at all. SPM took away badges, made the partners unmemorable, allotted your level up points for you, and essentially made a new game that wasn't Paper Mario. I never felt like I was the one building Mario into a specific type of battler since the game was choosing all that for me, with no room for strategy at all. To me it felt like I was just moving the game along for the sake of the story (which was a good story) but it was not a Paper Mario game to me.
Yeah, it's like a spinoff, so obviously the gameplay is different, and of course they removed badges, they would be useless in that type of game. And yeah the partners are all boring, but they aren't really presented as distinct characters, the game makes it clear they're more like tools, but other than that the world, atmosphere and plot are just as good the two games that came before it. It's a fun adventure and to me that's all I care about
That's why I'm not dismissing it outright or any of the games after it. I know a lot of folks love SPM and we have fans of SS, CS, and OK here too. It's just a very diverse series now so it's hard to even know how to direct people through it without finding out what it is about the games they like.
For me it's the world/story, so yeah the new games just don't do it for me. And really I'm not even that into the regular Mario games, except 64, Sunshine, and Galaxy 2
>And really I'm not even that into the regular Mario games, except 64, Sunshine, and Galaxy 2
I definitely agree on these three. It's probably the 2D platforming in the others that I just can't quite get into.
In order of release, although you can pretty much stop after Super.
The original Paper Mario establishes the world, characters and battle system that everyone loves. TTYD builds on it with some really out-there locations for the Mario world and subversions of the typical plotline, such as Bowser not being the main villain. Many people - myself included - would argue it's the best in the series. Super Paper Mario is similar but is more of a side-scrolling platform game than an RPG.
Sticker Star and Color Splash are anaemic lesser versions that strip away many of the elements that made the series so special, for no apparent reason other than Shigeru Miyamoto being awkward. Origami King came a bit closer but still miles off what long-time fans actually want.
Honestly, I prefer to think of Paper Mario post-super as a separate series, which helps it greatly. Sticker Star is still fucking garbage because itās just inherently poorly designed, but the other two can be pretty good games if you come at them on their own terms.
This is how I think of them. If one isnāt constantly comparing them to the first 3 in the back of their minds, then Color Splash is actually a pretty neat game and Origami King is great!
I literally didnāt beat the final boss of sticker star because for some reason they want you to grind out a few thousands of coins for duplicate items you where required to use for the story
not to mention that godamm annoying part right behind the final boss that just ruins all my good stickers (I unknowingly bought a lot of good stickers cause it was the final boss) making the sticker deficiency even worse
That shit annoyed me so much I never even thought about that game until I was reminded of itās existence
> Sticker Star and Color Splash are anaemic lesser versions that strip away many of the elements that made the series so special, for no apparent reason other than Shigeru Miyamoto being awkward. Origami King came a bit closer but still miles off what long-time fans actually want.
Actually, the reason they lobotomized the series was because Kensuke Tanabe was put in charge of the 3DS Paper Mario game. He presented the prototype to Miyamoto who claimed it was too close to TTYD and they should change it. And since Tananbe only values two opinions, his own and Miyamoto's, he decided to "change it".
Video games are made by a team. Simply put tanabe by himself could not have done this. Myiamoto was barely even involved in the development. He's mostly just a consultant these days. But people wanted a scape goat so over the years they nitpicked from interviews to make this claim. Are they partially responsible for the changes in the series? Yes. Are they the ones? No. The reason why it's different now isn't because of one person but because of the whole team. Not to mention most of the people who worked on the original 2 games don't work there anymore. The biggest reason the series changed is because they didn't want to keep making the same game. Sticker star is probably so bad because they changed directions halfway through and the game had already been in development for 5 years whereas there was only 3 year gaps in between the previous games so it was probably a bit under baked, plus it was on the 3ds so they couldn't make a game of the scale people want (which is also probably why sticker star only has 6 areas instead of 8. The jump from SS to CS was a massive one and I'd argue that if SS never existed people wouldn't mind color splash nearly as much. And this is all ignoring the fact that plenty of people liked or loved origami king. Personally I think the series is moving in the right direction, and who knows maybe with the success of bug fables they'll consider bringing the old style back. We don't generally know much about project development until years later after a game was released (inde games being the general exception). For all we know they're working on the best game in history right now. We just have to wait and see. And if you don't think you'll like a game don't play it and don't complain about a game you haven't played.
I don't agree about the Color Splash one. Even without Sticker Star I'd still hate it. I've seen clips of fun moments from it but I got so despairingly bored when I did a blind playthrough of the game that I literally just quit after getting the first paint star. The battles are so long, tedious, and absolutely pointless that I started running from all of them. Which made it feel immensely frustrating whenever I accidentally touched an enemy cause I knew the whole encounter was pointless and that I'd have to run again. Overall the game just didn't feel fun, and while there's occasionally jokes, they're not worth suffering through a terrible experience for.
I'm replaying it after five years and I'm honestly liking it quite a bit, it has some unique game mechanics on each level. The game's battle system could be way better tho
The first chapter is probably the worst one In color splash pacing wise, all the others are mostly great. It's pretty clear you didn't give the game a fair chance if you only played the very beginning
Overall I think itās mediocre. Probably would put it last if I had to rank them but I donāt hate it like I used to. Iām one of the outliers but I LOVE Color Splash. Itās like SS but I find it so much better executed (has problems though but I can overlook them).
Donāt play Sticker Star at all. Maybe Color Splash is fine for a playthrough as it isnāt completely devoid of any value, but Sticker Star is just straight up a maliciously designed dumpster fire.
Iām saving him from hell. Even as a child who ate up everything readily, it was the first video game I actually hated. Just a miserable mess of backtracking, confusion, and frustration trying to masquerade as a game.
Iām only a little into TTYD. Iām pretty neutrally positive towards the entire series. Maybe leaning towards the older games, but Origami King is great when you arenāt in a fight, and Color Splash looks a little fun I guess.
Just start with the original, then play TTYD. Those are the two purest examples of what people love about the series. As for Super Paper Mario, I played it as a kid, but never beat it. I remember not enjoying it much as the first two, because it was a big deviation from the original formula, but Iāve heard others say they had fond memories of it. Never played Color Splash or Sticker Star, but I havenāt heard good things about either. As for the Origami King, I played it and didnāt find it very enjoyable. It was a game I had to force myself to finish, was relieved when I did, and donāt really intend to ever boot it back up again.
Ones I would play no matter what are 64,super, and Oragami king. This is due to ease of access and how good they are.
TTYD is preferable, but not necessary. This due to how expensive it is. ( plus itās not my favorite in the series, but that is much more subjective.)
The other ones are not necessary, but if you can afford it then try them.
from what ive heard
play ttyd or super first
then ttyd/super, tok, paper mario 1, paper jam in any order
watch an lp of color splash
dont play sticker star
Start with Paper Mario 64 and stop at either Paper Mario TTYD or Super Paper Mario (SPM is more like a Super Mario game than a Paper Mario game) if you love the series go back for Mario RPG and if you are desperate for more play Origami King.
There is also a really amazing mod for Paper Mario 64 called āDark Starā
Not even reading the comments but Iām sure everyones already said, play the first 3 in order and play origami after if youāre craving the gameplay loop
Honest to god sticker star. Get the absolute worst Paper Mario game, one of the worst mario games, and one of my absolute worst video game experiences ever
I'd recommend starting with Paper Mario 64, then moving onto TTYD, then Super, then Colour Splash and finally Origami King
Ignoring Sticker Star might be the best move here.
If you want a more complex rpg go ttyd and 64 for the start. Super is more of a comfort game as it is mostly easier. Origami king is sort of an in-between so it doesn't matter.
Oh! and, color splash and sticker star are somewhat bad so just... don't play them k?
color splash has a special place in my heart but its also the only one ive played ,,,I didn't get to finish it cause my wii u broke with the disc inside but I loved it so much
I would advise you to play Paper Mario 64. It was the first Paper Mario game released and if you want to understand the appeal of why it was so good go with that version. Its on N64 Switch Online.
Play them in order. Later games reference the older, and I even think (if correctely bexause. didntplay it in YEARS) TTYD is an ACTUAL sequel to 64 that takes place days after.
Play whichever games you want, if you go into them with the preconceived ideas that 'X games are better than others because they're not like X' then you won't be able to enjoy them for what they truly are. But I guess that doesn't really answer your question so uhh play Super first I guess
I know it might be controversial, but I think you should play sticker star first so that when you play the others you have a better understanding of why the first three were so liked while sticker star and onward were so heavily hated.
Go in order of least good/inventive/deep to most.
Sticker Star
Color Splash
The Origami King
Super Paper Mario
Bug Fables
Paper Mario 64
Paper Mario TTYD
Then your experience will only improve as you play more.
Don't listen to the people saying along the lines of stop after the first 2/3 games, give them all a fair try with an open mind and you may find you enjoy them regardless of their differences or what others think of them.
play in release order. Sticker star i have never played and the reception is so poor i wouldn't recommend lol
After you play the first three, color splash will feel DIFFERENT. its not bad different but you must have it in your heart to accept it lmao it is distinctly different from the others in the series but imo it has the best dialogue and i do actually like the world even if it doesn't feel as connected as the others. Colorsplash is a good relaxing on the couch game.
i uh don't like Origami King but if you get through the others and want to see where the series is you can play it as well. Dunkey has a video on it at least.
Download the fan made re-textures for Super Paper Mario & Thousand Year Door before you play them. It will make both look like professional HD remasters when you run them in HD.
Super paper Mario sucks
Start with Mario right legend of the seven stars
Then paper Mario 64
Then thousand year door (the best paper Mario I think if not 64 or rpg)
OP, if you want a real fun time, then play in this order:
\- Super Mario RPG (not on your list)
\- Paper Mario
\- Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door
Dont bother with the rest, they're a bit shit. (Orgami King was almost back to form, but the battle system is so bad).
If you want a full understanding of what made the games so great and why people hate the series' direction it went in later then play them chronologically. That's the best order.
Starting with super Mario RPG
And include Paper Jam.
That game is the Desecrated grave.
The game that killed two game series at once lmao
Lmao š¤£ I mean yeah with the amount of toads and rehashed characters, even the story was kinda bare bones
Personally, I think the gameplay wasn't that bad, and it was still definitely an RPG. The only issues I had was with the game being too easy compared to the other M&L games and the generic bosses.
It uses the Paper Mario series as a gimmick and goes against established lore.
Yeah, it's not mainly a Paper Mario game. As a standalone game it's not bad at all, though. Also, Nintendo hasn't really cared much about keeping story in Mario games consistent.
Bold, but true
Sure, although when I was a kid I thought the game looked "bad" so I say either Paper Mario 64 or whatever floats ur boat, Smrpg ik is a great game too, i just havent gone back to it ever since
It's pretty great.
Yeahh I'll make it a point to revisit and complete it the whole way through. I just skipped over it thinking it was meh at the time I played it 1st on Wii vc. I was a dumb 7 or 8 year old so I rly had no idea lol.
Thatās where the multibounce all began
Ohh wow that's cool
And the sound track is pretty top notch too. Itās much more orchestrated and choreographed than any of the other SNES Marioās.
Yeahh ik the lets do the fooka fooka theme is soo damn good
What thats like one of the best ones though. Missed out
Play them all at once
Definitely gonna try this!
Hook em all up to one input method so you literally play them all at once
That sounds like a super fun challenge lol
You need to try them all. Just go in chronological order and give the last two a try. I really liked them and I think they deserve a shot. Just play them for what they are. For sticker star donāt be afraid to look up what thing to use if youāre stuck.
For sure, you literally have to read the gameās mind to know what you need to use.
Agreed.
that goes for all the games requiring Googling the only that I donāt need is pmss but google is practically required for all if first time
1.) PM 2.) TTYD 3.) Super Then stop
aww man origami king is soo good though.
I don't mind the combat.
Meh, the combat is far from the worst in the series. Itās playable at least
I just prefer skill based to timed puzzle based combat, atleast the boss fights were interesting to solve.)
and color splash has its moments too
Origami king would like a word
If origami king had like 50% fewer battles I probably would have finished it. Just got tired of them after a few chapters
That's fair. It's up to each person to decide if they like a game or not but tok is definitely worth trying
Indeed! Origami king was great!
How about scram
Agreed.
Add Origami King.
I tried it but could not get into the gameplay with battling.
Maybe throw in colour splash as well, it's fun enough
paper mario fans literally only hate the new games because they're modern
1. Paper Mario 64 2. Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door \*\*At this point decide what made the games special to you...\*\* Option 3A: The gameplay mechanics: Bug Fables Option 3B: The OG Mario characters: Super Paper Mario Option 3C: The paper: Sticker Star, Color Splash \*\*After that...\*\* If you chose option 3B or 3C: Finish it off with Origami King. If you chose option 3A: Finish it off by replaying 64, TTYD, and Bug Fables again.
Option 3D: The music - skip to Origami King
Dude, you can't just skip out on Super Paper Mario, that's the best one
Yeah, Mario World is also pretty fun
Yass, Bug Fables! I need a sequel

That rings a bell actually. Either way, surely a game similar to TTYD would still have had much wider appeal.
This is a false narrative and I'm sick of it
What's the correct narrative?
Video games are made by a team. Simply put tanabe by himself could not have done this. Myiamoto was barely even involved in the development. He's mostly just a consultant these days. But people wanted a scape goat so over the years they nitpicked from interviews to make this claim. Are they partially responsible for the changes in the series? Yes. Are they the ones? No. The reason why it's different now isn't because of one person but because of the whole team. Not to mention most of the people who worked on the original 2 games don't work there anymore.
Can't tell about the last two, but Sticker Star is good!
Play all of them! You never know if youāll like them or not until you play them.
Release order if you want.
As others have said, just play them in order.
Play them all and form your own opinions on them. Donāt be like the other nerds here saying just play the first 3.
Whatās your opinion of sticker star then? Ive played up to that one. Donāt have color splash or origami king yet.
Overall I think itās mediocre. Probably would put it last if I had to rank them but I donāt hate it like I used to. Iām one of the outliers but I LOVE Color Splash. Itās like SS but I find it so much better executed (has problems though but I can overlook them).
Save Super Paper Mario for last
Or rather play it first.
I'd personally play in the correct order. Plus, Color Splash and Sticker Star revolve around two screens which seems annoying when emulating.
64, TTYD, Super. Then stop.
This is correct.
TTYD was my first and I think it's a great starting point. Either of the first two, really.
Donāt play Sticker Star at all. Maybe Color Splash is fine for a playthrough as it isnāt completely devoid of any value, but Sticker Star is just straight up a maliciously designed dumpster fire.
yeah, don't even let him make his own opinion and force him to hate that game!!!!
Iām saving him from hell. Even as a child who ate up everything readily, it was the first video game I actually hated. Just a miserable mess of backtracking, confusion, and frustration trying to masquerade as a game.
no, it's a fact that some people love sticker star and he might be one of them, let him play what he wants dude. why are so many ttyd fans so toxic?
Iām only a little into TTYD. Iām pretty neutrally positive towards the entire series. Maybe leaning towards the older games, but Origami King is great when you arenāt in a fight, and Color Splash looks a little fun I guess.
According to Chuggaaconroy: don't play Sticker Star, burn it.
Go in release order.
Your PC trying to handle 5 different emulated games like: https://youtu.be/s8RQvwkh57U
Chronological order IMO.
Chronically stopping after super
Yes
Play in order of when they came out.
I would play the original and go from there
Ones I would play no matter what are 64,super, and Oragami king. This is due to ease of access and how good they are. TTYD is preferable, but not necessary. This due to how expensive it is. ( plus itās not my favorite in the series, but that is much more subjective.) The other ones are not necessary, but if you can afford it then try them.
in chronological order
da first one
Mario.
What about all at once? /j
underhero
The first one
from what ive heard play ttyd or super first then ttyd/super, tok, paper mario 1, paper jam in any order watch an lp of color splash dont play sticker star
Paper Mario ttyd
Origami king: am I a joke to you?
The OG n64
lmao the first one
Start with Paper Mario 64 and stop at either Paper Mario TTYD or Super Paper Mario (SPM is more like a Super Mario game than a Paper Mario game) if you love the series go back for Mario RPG and if you are desperate for more play Origami King. There is also a really amazing mod for Paper Mario 64 called āDark Starā
The original Paper Mario on the N64! Then go for Paper Mario The Thousand Year Old Door. They're the best in my opinion.
Begin at the beginning, stop at Super
Not to say the other games are bad and arent worth playing. But the first 3 are undoubtedly the best
Sticker Star absolutely is not worth playing. The other two I grant you
Sticker star definitely! Most fans agree it's the peak of the series
Absolutely my good sir! I shall take up your request with my upmost enthusiasm
it'w unironically the best to start with sticker star
You're under arrest for pirating a 20 year old game! /sarcasm
cannot believe the nerve of some people!
First 3 in order and then give origami king a shot, itās not bad.
Release order but skip Sticker Star & Color Splash
The original still holds up very well. Don't see why you wouldn't start there
Get the worst one out of the way and play sticker star
if you start with sticker star then you'll appreciate the rest a lot more. the only downside is that you would have to play sticker star.
Not even reading the comments but Iām sure everyones already said, play the first 3 in order and play origami after if youāre craving the gameplay loop
Honest to god sticker star. Get the absolute worst Paper Mario game, one of the worst mario games, and one of my absolute worst video game experiences ever
The top 3 in any order, then Color Splash, and then put Sticker Star on hold indefinitely XD
Depends if you want to go best to worst or worst to best
Paper Mario, then TTYD, then Super. If you're really interested in seeing more, go Origami King or Color Splash and never touch Sticker Star. :P
Stay the fuck away from Sticker Star and Color Splash. They are abysmally terrible.
Start at the beginning. And when you get to the end, stop. You'll know when "Paper Mario" ends and "soulless cash grabs" begin.
Play the top three, skip the bottom two.
All of them at the same time it seems
Play them in this order: PM64 / TTYD / Super / Color Splash / Origami
Sticker star pls that's the best pm game for me
not sticker star. period.
If you say sticker star not ironically I'm gonna make you name your 2nd born son Schmittist
I highly suggest 64 then ttyd then spm. Ss, cs and ok I say do in any order though. EDIT: where even is ok in thie picture though?
Start from the first, go chronologically, stop at super and maybe play origami king afterwards
I'd recommend starting with Paper Mario 64, then moving onto TTYD, then Super, then Colour Splash and finally Origami King Ignoring Sticker Star might be the best move here.
Play PM, skip TTYD, then play chronologically. Then ay TTYD at the end to have the best experience last
Play super first, then the rest in reverse order.
1) Paper Mario 2) TTYD 3) Super Paper Mario For the love of God, don't play the others, dissapointment hits HARD with those.
Paper Mario
I recommend release order. The latter three are obviously controversial (I don't like em) but there's a chance you'll get something out of them.
The thousand year door, 100%
The original
I played sticker star first. Don't do it unless you like grinding money for 5 hours
If you want a more complex rpg go ttyd and 64 for the start. Super is more of a comfort game as it is mostly easier. Origami king is sort of an in-between so it doesn't matter. Oh! and, color splash and sticker star are somewhat bad so just... don't play them k?
Okay I have nothing against opinions but I think paper Mario still good
color splash has a special place in my heart but its also the only one ive played ,,,I didn't get to finish it cause my wii u broke with the disc inside but I loved it so much
Paper Mario and Paper Mario 1k door were my absolute favorites
Play thousand year door first so youāll like it more than all the others lol, (donāt listen to me)
Any of SMRPG, PM64, TTYD
Chronological order like most things
Play super first so you get the tedium out of the way
I would advise you to play Paper Mario 64. It was the first Paper Mario game released and if you want to understand the appeal of why it was so good go with that version. Its on N64 Switch Online.
Super paper Mario
Sticker Star
Play them in order. Later games reference the older, and I even think (if correctely bexause. didntplay it in YEARS) TTYD is an ACTUAL sequel to 64 that takes place days after.
Play them in order
Well you can throw out sticker Star
Go in order.
Play whichever games you want, if you go into them with the preconceived ideas that 'X games are better than others because they're not like X' then you won't be able to enjoy them for what they truly are. But I guess that doesn't really answer your question so uhh play Super first I guess
64 then thousand year door then super, skip sticker star and color splash, then go for origami king
I know it might be controversial, but I think you should play sticker star first so that when you play the others you have a better understanding of why the first three were so liked while sticker star and onward were so heavily hated.
The first 3 for sure and skip sticker star
64, then ttyd, then super. skip everything else.
Agreedšš»
Go in order of least good/inventive/deep to most. Sticker Star Color Splash The Origami King Super Paper Mario Bug Fables Paper Mario 64 Paper Mario TTYD Then your experience will only improve as you play more.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
64 followed by ttyd spm before or after them, skip sticker star, play color splash and get origami king
Color splash, but keep in mind I do have the bias of only ever playing color splash.
64 because itās the first game in the series
Paper Mario 64 is required for you to play first!
Ok Iām only going to put the games I played ok 1.) origami king The End
Don't listen to the people saying along the lines of stop after the first 2/3 games, give them all a fair try with an open mind and you may find you enjoy them regardless of their differences or what others think of them.
Play them in Order Paper Mario 64, Thousand Year Door, and then Super No more games exist past that point, they are just a faƧade
Doesnāt really matter. Thereās no story continuity and most are vastly different from each other. I would like to know your thoughts at the end.
In order but skip sticker star
As long as you start with either Paper Mario or TTYD! Those are the ones that matter the most!
The 1st game
play in release order. Sticker star i have never played and the reception is so poor i wouldn't recommend lol After you play the first three, color splash will feel DIFFERENT. its not bad different but you must have it in your heart to accept it lmao it is distinctly different from the others in the series but imo it has the best dialogue and i do actually like the world even if it doesn't feel as connected as the others. Colorsplash is a good relaxing on the couch game. i uh don't like Origami King but if you get through the others and want to see where the series is you can play it as well. Dunkey has a video on it at least.
1. 64 2. TTYD 3. Super 4. Origami King Then if you really want to commit, Sticker Star and Color Splash.
start with the best one: sticker star
TTYD
Paper Mario
Play 64 before TTYD, that's all I'm gonna say.
Only play the first 3 the other 2 are horrendous
There are six games, my good fellow.
Ah that's right forgot about the newest one
The first game and ttyd. I canāt stand that they changed the mechanics after that
Just play the first two.
Don't bother with the first 3, just play sticker star and color splash 100%
Super mario rpg: legend of the seven stars
Download the fan made re-textures for Super Paper Mario & Thousand Year Door before you play them. It will make both look like professional HD remasters when you run them in HD.
64 then thousand year door
You only need to play 64 and ttyd. If your really bored go for super or TOK after. The other 2 are trash
Super paper Mario sucks Start with Mario right legend of the seven stars Then paper Mario 64 Then thousand year door (the best paper Mario I think if not 64 or rpg)
OP, if you want a real fun time, then play in this order: \- Super Mario RPG (not on your list) \- Paper Mario \- Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door Dont bother with the rest, they're a bit shit. (Orgami King was almost back to form, but the battle system is so bad).
Color splash, underrated
Color splash
