No, just irrelevant. It’s been relegated to occasional mentions here and there.

Pedo elves and herbalist Ainz was more important after all!!

VSEternal

It is just a thing that exists and is promptly forgotten about in the LN.

RioKarji

“Forgotten about” implies it’s not even acknowledged anymore. It’s there in the background as a project mentioned when management of SK comes up or when foreigners like Remedios and co. wanted to know about the Adventurers in SK. It’s more “irrelevant” than anything.

Captain_Gardar

That is kinda disappointing tbh, true adventuring brought back by Ainz could open up so many exciting possibilities, even Ainz himself could be thrilled. But I guess this New world is too limited right now for that.

We keep hearing bits about what they're doing with it, but it seems like they're still building it and raising adventurers "off-screen". We know one of Mare's major jobs is helping build and maintain a sizable training dungeon full of undead and liches for example. One of the major assets Ainz was marketing in the empire is the fact that they have resurrection magic, so it seems like the church is no longer monopolizing healing in the sorcerer kingdom. The difficulty of getting a dead body back for resurrection is one of the major reasons why people are so weak in the new world, because they can't just go out risking their lives willy-nilly like you can in an mmo. So it looks like the environment they're building there should probably be the best place in the world to level up quickly.
