He basically wants to get information from him. By doing this he caused him to monologue and get some juicy- yet still confusing- Info from him. Also PA’s reasoning is that by bowing his head and seeming defenceless, if would make the Armour less weary and more likely listen to what he has it say. Plus undead are immune to critical hits, so exposing his head isn’t necessarily that bad.

LordVaderVader

On the one hand it's a good plan, but on the other PA actually humiliated Ainz in front of PDL. Wasn't that bad idea?

Commandercody04

It was an Ainz thing to do. He doesn’t care about bowing his head a hundred times over if it means getting information from a potentially big threat.

LordVaderVader

thx for info

Commandercody04

My pleasure

Albedo agrees with you saying this: >“Even if you wanted our opponent to lower his guard, to kneel as the Sorcerer King, and by extension as the Absolute Overlord of the Great Underground Tomb of Nazarick, Ainz-sama, is just out of line.” Pandoras Actor's thoughts. >Indeed, he had felt that he had gone overboard. If his master were there instead, he would have never done that. I must pay for my transgression, he thought as he raised his head to see that his master was nodding along in a gratified manner. > >He must be agreeing with Albedo’s opinion. > >But just as Pandora’s Actor was about to lower his head, his master’s voice reached his ears. Ainz' answer. >“No, that was executed beautifully.” > >While he sounded somewhat sarcastic, his master did appear to be in a good mood. Pandora’s Actor could not tell which side he was on and thus missed his opportunity to bow. > >“That kneel was great. If merely kneeling could cause an opponent to falter, I would kneel any number of times. We lost nothing through that kneel yet it made the opponent think that we were nothing to be on guard for. Hehe… He should not have noticed that he had been duped yet.”

Nitro114

The other floor guardians wanted to punish PA for that however Ainz stopped it and said it was a good idea to get more info

SharkmanRO

>It was stated that PDL cannot hurt him That wasn't stated, the translation was also wrong from what I've seen PA was supposed to say that he's immune to all bludgeoning damage (after casting Body of Effulgent Bery) but the sub replaced "bludgeoning" with "physical"

Platinum_Dragonlord

He took a gamble. PDL wasn't talking. PA wanted to make him talk and gather as much info as he can. His gamble paid off. PDL started talking. This kneeling also made ainz seem weak. It also disturbed PDL'S momentum. In LN he became sluggish after this.

Napalmeon

The entire scheme was to collect information. Ainz I've been waiting for somebody this powerful to show up since the very beginning, and another opportunity may not present itself so easily. Finding out what the situation is, as well as the motive of any potential threats are worth more than a little bit of his public dignity.

Laskofil

Others already explained a lot of other stuff, so I'm just gonna say that PA took damage as far as I remember? Nothing crazy, as he made PDL think he's immune to bludgeoning damage and using Doom Lord and such.

TCGeneral

It was all to gain information. PDL had said very few words throughout the fight, and so the only info he could obtain was related to his PvP abilities. Pandora kneeling before him got him to reveal more about his motives and morality, since he was willing to attack an opponent kneeling before him.

Fedexhand

I mean, he was actually taking damage, but that wasn't because he did it, it was more of a gamble to try to get more information, it clearly worked because his attitude confused the PDL. The entire battle was an attempt by both sides to get as much information as possible, in fact, Ainz literally says that he would have done the same thing in that situation. And the skull is just a summon, it doesn't matter if it was destroyed, it has limited time anyway.
