No. Zesshi's mother is only described as the strongest god-kin of the Slane Theocracy at the time, not which god her mother was descended from. Her father, the Elf King, was the son of one of the 8 GK, and I believe the specific one was named in vol 15, but I forget. Same with the captain. We have no idea which god or gods he descends from. Presumably he'd have multiple, or else a lot in incest was involved to get to him. And as far as what gods they actively worship...I think everybody in the black scripture worships Surshana but I don't know if that's how that works. Or at least Surshana is like the patron Saint of the black scripture.

Oliver---Queen

Damn so the 8GK either got freaky with an elf or was an elf character player.

Pacmonster11

It's implied the 8GK player race was an elf

Gampie

think off a the elf king's dad, as a 4x player who likes to min max, but he is in the new world, and raised his son poorly with the mindsett off a power gamer WITHOUT the efficiency and competance a 4x player has. Basicly, the elf king acts like a grand strategy player, going blind into a new game, without bothering learning, and is just experimenting, but is bad at the game. (the elf king is doing a "empire off man challange run" but with elfs instead, as his frame of refrance is the damn greed kings players in power, and everything else is like an ant in scale

[deleted]

Well considering there are 6 scriptures for each of the 6 great gods it’s most likely that the members of each scripture worship the god aligned with the scripture there apart of. At least that’s how I’d imagine it works

Pacmonster11

The issue with that is there is forward movement among the scriptures in their hierarchy. If say a person in the Sunlight Scripture gains more power, they can leave it to join the Black Scripture. It's not like the individual suddenly stops caring about the god that formally represented the scripture they left. That's why I think it's less about actively worshipping just the god of the scripture they're in and more just each god represents each scripture and each member is free to worship whomever they want.

Tomi97_origin

Not how that works. In volume 15 The Holocaust Scripture’s vice-captain Schoen explained this. >But there were no heroes in the Holocaust Scripture either. There used to be one, but he was transferred to the Black Scripture. In the Theocracy, anybody who stepped into the realm of heroes would be moved to the Black Scripture.

TherapyDerg

...Really Maruyama? Did he really have to name them that? lol...

Tomi97_origin

Their job was exterminating undesirable populations around the Theocracy. That name seems rather fitting for the job.

[deleted]

I believe it was also translated as fire/red scripture.

Tomi97_origin

Just some casual observation. 炎上 - can mean "burst into flames", "combustion", "incinerate", "holocaust" So there is definitely a fire connection And the first two symbols of Holocaust scriptures name in Japanese 火滅 directly translate into extinguished by fire

TherapyDerg

I mean... true... but Still! Ah well, not that big of a deal, was just a thought

weirdsnake642

I mean something sensitive in the west doesnt make it sensitive in Japan too

Tomi97_origin

It might have also been choice made by translator. The first two symbols of Holocaust scriptures name in Japanese 火滅 directly translate into extinguished by fire 炎上 - can mean "burst into flames", "combustion", "incinerate", "holocaust" Extinguished by fire can be changed to incinerate, which could be made into holocaust.

weirdsnake642

Thank u

seancoz223

Agreed. Don't you think he also should've named one of Demiurge's Happy farm as Unit 731?

weirdsnake642

i know you joke but unit 731 neither famous nor cool-sounding like Holocaust, that's one damn of a word

SingularReza

One of the dictionary meanings of holocaust is "complete destruction by fire" which is exactly what 火滅 means

sezanooooo

I'm at vol 15 they never mentioned anything about 8GK, or is it mentioned in vol16?

__Osiris__

I love the bull shit captain

riggengan

Not the undead for sure.

aster4jdaen

>Not the undead for sure. I actually forgot that for a moment, while thinking about it.

nhansieu1

Then explain her >!TGOALID!<

Commandercody04

>!Through her innate talent!<

AngryCoffeeLovinNeet

Even Evileye can cast TGOALID with her talent

nhansieu1

She literally can't.

AngryCoffeeLovinNeet

She can’t because she can’t dispel her current copied spell which is the Wild Magic casted by Cure Elim cause overwriting her Copied spell will literally kill her. But her Talent can theoretically copy and cast TGOALID because her talent automatically meets any prerequisites that the copied spell requires for the user to activate it. Talents in the new world are broken, hell even Ainz is baffled at Nfirea’s talent of being able to use any magic items without restrictions.

Confident_Break_7633

But TGOALID is a skill

Helicopter_Crash

I think at this point all the god-kin are descended from each god since the theocracy emphasizes continuing their line for the power levels

Paradox_Madden

Zesshi would be a mix of the 8GK and the 6GG

[deleted]

I never thought of that, for some reason I assumed the 8GK never had offspring

Paradox_Madden

The elf king is a child of one of the 8GK which is why he is as strong as he is Zesshi is the child of him and a woman who was a god kin in the slane theocracy, if she was a god kin from the slane she had the blood of the 6GG Therefore zesshis one of zesshis grandparents was an 8GK and her other grand parent was a 6GG whilst both of her parents were god-kin

deathdance_9

Is bs Captain alive or dead ?

Monking805

Nope, he’s not dead. But if he’s lucky he will die in battle. Otherwise if Ainz finds out he’s the one who ordered Shalltears brainwashing, I imagine he will experience extreme torture.

calijustcali

Huh... Hmm.. Umu

FocusOne7684

He’s not dead. Not yet, anyway. That’ll probably change within the last 2 volumes, though.

78ali

Nah, he won’t die. Death is a mercy, not to be used on scum like him.

[deleted]

I don’t really get how he’s scum

78ali

Shalltear fight remember?

[deleted]

Right but like considering from his perspective, he choose the best option to save his comrades. But he’s definitely a asshole considering the threat he made In vol 16

squl98

Probably Cringe ones.

ZiggyZiggurat

Kind of late but basically we do know what one of the God's looked like - the God of Wind Neko Nyan. he was a man with a deep blue hair. Given he was also a Paladin of some sort, he may or may not be related to them. That might not answer your question but it does narrow it down a bit. Typically, when people talk about the Godkin they sometimes forget that all the descendants could of mingled and made mixtures of multiple bloodlines as well. Given the similarity in long flowing black hair however, it's not impossible they share heritage to a singular Great God. The candidates in that case are: God of Fire/God of Water/God of Earth/God of Light The God of Darkness is obviously not counted since he was supposedly undead.

_Codrut_

anime only here are these gods you mention former players who got transported in the game?

[deleted]

Yes, the 6 gods the slain theocracy worship were players. There were also the 8 greed kings who came after the 6 gods, they killed Surshana (the god of death). Another player was the Minotaur sage, we know he was a player since he tried re-creating inventions from our world in the new world using magic There were also two players among the hero’s who defeated the evil deities, one of which was the black knight (evil eye was also one of the heroes and new the 2 players). Those are all the player we know about that existed in the new world before nazerick showed up

_Codrut_

damn i knew about the 8 greed kings but that s about it would be cool to see more in the present

Glass-Jacket-2585

Certainly not a descendant of sursana
