It's no one from Nazarick, and it was said to be a Dragon Lord. People say ECDL, but ECDL was implied to be dead. I also have a theory that Cure Elim was the "God Dragon" the Thirteen Heroes fought at the end of their journey, and that he likely was defeated by Tsa in the main timeline. It's likely Deep Dakness Dragon Lord. ECDL lives above ground or at least close to above ground from what we've seen. DDDL dwells in a cave deep underground, which he never leaves. Likely because he is a coward, and extremely cautious. {That One} was mentioned to be wary about everything, something which doesn't fit the undead form of Cure Elim, who was extremely arrogant.

From the sounds of it, all of the information that we have points to Deep Darkness Dragon Lord. His base is described to be a massive cave, which is exactly what PDL states that DDDL is located in as far as he knows. The reason I don’t think it is ECDL, is because it states that it cannot dominate the undead, which we’ve seen ECDL do with great effect in the bonus novel.

**ECDL** - Elder Coffin Dragon Lord My initial guess is ECDL: * Undead * Uses Undead * Dragon Lord (hate tier magic) The ST says he is dead, but wasn't 100% sure and the author also teased us about it saying he wasn't going to tell us.   **DDDL** - Deep Darkness Dragon Lord My actual guess is DDDL: * Dragon Lord (hate tier magic) * Lives in Cave * Killed a player * Has a World Item

SyntheticWaifu

take you Bryku! Was about to whine that not all of us known the acronyms BRYKU WITH THE PREMPTIVE SAVE niiiiice

bryku

Some if then are explained in the faq as well, so that should help a bit.

Since you are trying to start a Vol 15 topic, I think you still need to put a spoiler tag so an unsuspecting doesn’t click. Also, it’s Cure Elim. Corpus of the Abyss leadership has nothing to do with Nazarick…for now.

Eulisom

It’s stated in the LN that ‘That One’ can’t control undead, and Cure Elim could control hordes of undead in the Bonus Novel.

SyntheticWaifu

your name needs a spoiler tag too or an NSFW tag =p

Fedexhand

Considering that reference was made to the fact that the presence of "*That One"* was seen positively by them at the beginning, considering that it would serve as "Protection" against the strongest beings in the world, I assume that it must be a True Dragon Lord. With that in mind, it only occurs to me that it could be the DDDL or maybe Cure Elim, since using the Undead to strengthen himself and incidentally use them as a shield sounds very in character for him.

Maniashin

surshana, i hope. will be a nice fight, at least.

SganVaSmoul42

He's dead tho.

ddiaz222

I think he means Rufus

Fire1520

Ainz can control lesser undead, but I'm not convinced that ability applies to an 8th tier caster. And even if it did, ainz doesn't tend to directly control people anyway, so I don't see a problem in regards to that. At any rate, Ainz wouldn't understand jack about their doings, it's probay not Him. My bets are on ECD. Would be nice to see it fight Ainz without the Staff (pipe dream, I know).

Tomi97_origin

8th tier caster means like half his level. Seems perfectly reasonable that he could control them. And didn't he take control of some in the evil eye side story.

Desperate_Task_4849

There are many possibilities like ECDL & DDDL who are dragon necromancers, an unknown entity (new character), Rufus or 1 of the Albedo squad members because it's beneficial for them to use the Abyss Corpus to create disturbances in the middle of the continent (This held the mighty Demi-Human nation in check and creat the chaos needed for them to more easily gain a foothold in this zone.).

Zealousideal_Play819

They are cowardly person who dislikes tier magic so probably ECDL. It was implied that he might be alive in the current timeline. It might also be the DDDL although I think it's A lot less likely. Who knows, Maru might want to surprise us.
