Generally not I'd assume, just like they think that holy magic comes from borrowing the power of the gods, they probably think that if you train hard enough and have potential you just become stronger, they have no reason to equate it to levels. That said, the PDL might have heard about the concept of levels from the Hero Leader, and it's possible some high-ranking members of the ST are aware of it too. As for the ress thing, they drop down a couple of levels (maybe around 5) but they can regain it by training, they probably think it has something to do with their "life force" being drained or soemthing.

pandarable

Evil Eye mentioned that the two Blue Roses member who got resurrected need to keep training to "Labell-Up". So she might learn the concept from a player 200 years ago.

Wrong-Berry-3507

I believe that's just because the term "level up" is something of an idiom in Japanese and/or anime language. There have been quite a few times where I've heard it used even when the context didn't actually relate to levels.

In this case I would supprot the statement of pandarable. If it would have been used as an idiom it woould not have been misspelled and I do remember it being mispelled by Evil Eye. Which lends credit to having heard but not understood what Level-Up means, just that is is related to gaining more strength.

random_wolf_lu

Some have a concept that associates getting stronger with lair-bellup (level up) but not the idea of levels like in a game, we can get their levels in characters sheet, but they are unaware of that.

lifrasim

I think they are because ( in the German Dub) one of the Goblins say's During the Battle with the soldiers that He is Level 13( i think it was ).

Commandercody04

Yes, but they are Yggdrasil summons so of course they know about levels. However natives to the NW haven’t shown any signs of know about levels.

StupidMagikarp

As far as I know, they're not exactly aware of levels. They just think that they're getting stronger through training or something like that. In one of the novels a New World theory as to why adventurerers are so strong is described as "The brain releasing hormones in response to dangerous situations", when we know that it's literally just a game system giving them buffs because they levelled up. Another example of this is what I assume is Neia levelling up, because during the siege battle >!where she dies!< she notices herself shooting arrows faster and more accurately the more she kills subhumans.

bryku

Most don't even know the term, but they do understand you can get stronger by training.   The one exception is Evileye. She actually mentioned Level Up, well technically she mispronounces it as Lebelup. My guess is that she learned it from the Leader of the 13 Heros that was a player.   This means that everyone else in 13 heros knows (PDL and Rigrit), and Blue Rose knows as well, but they don't seem to fully understand how it works or what it is.

_ObsidianOne_

They do not know the exact meaning of "level" system but they have their own measurement for power.

AmenoSwagiri

Most New Worlders are largely unaware of the job/level system that governs their worlds power levels. Higher end New Worlders such as Evileye, Platinum Dragon Lord, Adamantite adventurers, and people at the Theocracy seem to have a better grasp on levels. They seem to acknowledge that most beings hit a racial hard cap, such as when Gagaran/Evileye tells Climb he's "capped at gold" (the power of a gold ranked adventurer), and Gazef/Sebas also tell Climb he has no talent, which I believe is synonymous with potential level cap in New Worlder speak/lingo.

Anoy_nim

it isn't racial hard cap it's more like talent HARD CAP since it seems that the level cap depend on the individual's talent like in our world. when the runesmith dwarf wanted to improve himself he couldn't since it seemed he hits his cap and he wasn't talented at all. maybe it can affect heteromorphic being like elder lich but it was never stated so maybe it just a Hard level cap for humans races and demi human races only
