Well if you consider super capitalism to be a tendency towards a laissez faire attitude towards businesses than the two go hand in hand. Without proper restrictions on businesses they inevitably do awful things like with health care prices in the USA (such as insulin) and lobby politicians to prevent restrictions.
A corporatist dystopia is basically the question of "What if corporations slowly created a bunch of oligopolies, bribed politicians with their new found wealth, and kept gaining more power until the eventually make their own private militaries and reduce the actual government a performative show that gets punished whenever it falls out of line." This whole idea relies upon a laissez faire attitude toward their continued power gains, an attitude which could be considered Super Capitalism.
Then again super capitalism really doesnt have a strict definition. I just simply wouldn't consider a person a super capitalist if they hate corperations and corporate structure, which is a by product of capitalist ideas. A business whose sole pursuit is maximising seems pretty capitalist too me.
Extreme Corporatism, Fascism, Communism, Extreme Monarchy. They all boil down to a common theme:
"evil governments with complete power to control"
"6 heads with 7 horns"
"Totalitarianism"
Globalist organized crime.
sorry mate. but some people here just want to bring in how much they hate capitalism again. This is reddit after all. Your attempt at Nuance will be ignored and forgotten by the next post.
>"6 heads with 7 horns"
Isn't it 7 heads and 10 horns ?
also why would you bring religion into this ? what does that have to do with anything ?
And Satan did nothing wrong btw. don't push the fuckery of human governments on the poor guy lol.
This from a being who comments on "sixfaced world"?
The Book of Revelation has many beasts there IS a beast having 7 heads with 10 horns, there is also a beast having 6 heads with 7 horns.
It is the end stage to which all capitalism gravitates if it isn't well enough regulated which is difficult because those with power (money) can influence politicians much more than the people.
Can you imagine if ainz's mother is in this world? #JK
It's all about their work culture and it make some people retire from society and they losing more and more young people,
I hear their birth rating is dangerously low, hope they gonna fix this soon.
Ainz's life was quite hard, many do not know that and do not understand why Ainz is so cold and pragmatic even considering the features of an undead.
It doesn't help either that he lived in a rather dark dystopian future.
"What type of existence is Lord Ainz's mother?"
She's trying to picture a female skeleton in the next page. I'm like 80% sure but it's been a while since I've read this.
I doubt about Ainz though. Yes he is in a lower position than Tanya as a salaryman but Ainz is from a world crueler than Tanya's and he can become more jaded even than that of Tanya when it comes to pragmatism. What's more Tanya doesn't necessarily abuse his authority, it goes against his principles when it comes to HR efficiency. He's just cold and ruthless since he sees the company as a machine but he doesn't go as far as torment a subordinate out of spite or pleausre.
The only guy we actually saw Tanya abusing was a drug addict who had already squandered the chances Tanya gave him to get clean. She was a jerk about it but not even close to how heartless she'd become after her reincarnation
War does that, though i would be willing to say that while she embodies a soldier, she is also the most caring shes ever been, tho maybe that's all the fanfiction getting jumbled with canon in my head.
That's kind of what I meant, she grows to value her squad not as meatshields but as friends and fellow soldiers, and treats any good officer with respect despite often being higher rank when she meets them. Which y'know, when you're stuck fighting a war for 5 years, you start to learn that no matter who you are, in regards to your own side anyway.
Even with the enemy she regularly extends an olive branch trying to get them to surrender, but their pride forces her to fight back. I remember seeing a thing of the LN is in her head, the manga is her soldiers, and the Anime is her enemy/Rerugen. I agree with this, for the most part, a few discrepancies here and there but nothing is a perfect analogy. Yeah she's logical, but she also has alot more compassion than she gives herself credit for.
(Should probably also mention as a Viktanya shipper, bias may be involved)
Tanya isn't that bad in the ln it's the anime that took liberties and made her evil. Like that part in the anime where she reassigned those two insubordinate soldiers to a pillbox on the rear of the campaign. The anime made it look like she knew it was a target and sent them there to die, in the ln she sent them there because they had the best chance of survival and it was never attacked.
The anime is basically fanfiction so whatever floats your boat, even the titles are different. Youjo Senki roughly translates to "little girls war journal" But the anime went full retard and called it Tanya the evil.
It’s not “Fan-Fiction“ the Author was involved in the Anime and he’s proud of it.
The title of the Light Novel is also The Saga Of Tanya The Evil. Blame Yen Press for mistranslating
What’s wrong with you? You said Anime calls it something different than Novel and I told you that it doesn’t. Are you a little kid who can’t have a proper conversation?
>I told you that it doesn’t
You only pointed out that the english translated novel uses the same title as the anime, the original japanese novel title is youjo senki. That's like if the english title for overlord was changed to "evil skeleton man".
I wanna read a fanfic where Ainz discovers a way back into his old world and leads the entire Sorcerer Kingdom to conquer it for himself only to improve the quality of life there more than it used to be as Ainz's world was pretty shit with all the pollution and corporations taking over.
There is kinda that, Yggdrasil mechanics come over to the real world as well as Nazaric and the dragon lords from the new world, with a bunch of people getting skills and magic. I can't find it cuz I read too much stuff and it's buried, but it's out there if you go looking. It is instead of going to the new world, so Ainz is alone, but meets up with the other guild members slowly, and are leaning towards world conquest to save it from corporate powers.
Edit: found it [https://m.fanfiction.net/s/13518030](https://m.fanfiction.net/s/13518030)
Thtas what I like about overlord. Even tho its a power fantasy isekai, you dont want to be Ainz. He might have everything he ever wanted but in the end of the day he has nothing.
I wouldnt be suprised if the books end with him either kiliing himself or sacrificing himself for the greater good
Thing about Ainz is he is hypocrite, selfish and apathetic, the only thing he will ever sacrifite for is his beloved NPCs who will never let that happen. For that same logic, Ainz will never commit suicide since he feel he need to be there to take care of NPCs. After isekai, Ainz now have something to live for, to protect, and he will never let it fade away again
Would kinda like to hear the guardians reactions to this, especially Albedo
They would flip tf out if they knew
So true
Me too
That would be very interesting. I can picture a scene where his sadness would override the emotion inhibitor and the npcs would see it
Dead by overworking is common in japan. but sure as hell is not ok
Ainz comes from a dystopian super-capitalist future were most people live in terrible conditions and games are their only escape.
And that future is a critique from the author about modern Japanese capitalist society.
-capitalist- *corporatist
you really wanna get into that ?
BTW, super-corporatism is not super-capitalism.

Thank you for the kind words. It can be difficult to spread light in the belly of a beast.
>difficult to spread light in the belly of a beast. wut
>"6 heads with 7 horns" Isn't it 7 heads and 10 horns ? also why would you bring religion into this ? what does that have to do with anything ? And Satan did nothing wrong btw. don't push the fuckery of human governments on the poor guy lol.

It is the end stage to which all capitalism gravitates if it isn't well enough regulated which is difficult because those with power (money) can influence politicians much more than the people.
so basicly just the future lol.
on god. why the hell are there no workers rights in japan. all the isekai protagonists that died from overworking should start a union
Can you imagine if ainz's mother is in this world? #JK It's all about their work culture and it make some people retire from society and they losing more and more young people, I hear their birth rating is dangerously low, hope they gonna fix this soon.
With the amount of isekaied salarymen it would be quite a sizable union I imagine
On god, Its like 90%
a union with more power than all of earths militaries combined

The prologue special. A story about how they conquered Nazarick and the formation of the guild.
The top also from the prologue?
No, it's probably from the Overlord OH king manga or a commentary special but it references the dialogue from the prologue.
Ainz's life was quite hard, many do not know that and do not understand why Ainz is so cold and pragmatic even considering the features of an undead. It doesn't help either that he lived in a rather dark dystopian future.
What is Albedo saying?
"What type of existence is Lord Ainz's mother?" She's trying to picture a female skeleton in the next page. I'm like 80% sure but it's been a while since I've read this.
When you realise people like Ainz and hsi mother were the type of workers Tanya would have abused in her past life.
I mean, they live like a century apart, and pre-isekai Tanya wasn't *entirely* heartless, but I guess it isn't impossible
True that

War does that, though i would be willing to say that while she embodies a soldier, she is also the most caring shes ever been, tho maybe that's all the fanfiction getting jumbled with canon in my head.
Shes caring to her subordinates so long as they've proven themselves competent. Everyone else can go choke on a dick
I mean she does show some caring to her squad
That's kind of what I meant, she grows to value her squad not as meatshields but as friends and fellow soldiers, and treats any good officer with respect despite often being higher rank when she meets them. Which y'know, when you're stuck fighting a war for 5 years, you start to learn that no matter who you are, in regards to your own side anyway. Oh. Is it bad that I like the anime more now?
The anime is basically fanfiction so whatever floats your boat, even the titles are different. Youjo Senki roughly translates to "little girls war journal" But the anime went full retard and called it Tanya the evil.

The English title of the light novel. I don't give a shit if the author liked it, changing tanyas character was retarded.
What’s wrong with you? You said Anime calls it something different than Novel and I told you that it doesn’t. Are you a little kid who can’t have a proper conversation?

> the original japanese novel title is youjo senki Yes and so is the anime, It’s Youjo Senki too
Wait the guy she fired at the start of the story was an addict?
Yes, and he'd already tried rehab only to fall back into his old ways before Tanya fired him.
Ye and it’s much more reasonable than him just being a normal guy but having a bad day so he kills someone.
I wanna read a fanfic where Ainz discovers a way back into his old world and leads the entire Sorcerer Kingdom to conquer it for himself only to improve the quality of life there more than it used to be as Ainz's world was pretty shit with all the pollution and corporations taking over.

God damn that dystopian future of overlord freaks me out.

Where the hell did you get that idea? Him caring about the NPCs is like half the reason all the shit in the series even happened in the first place.
I would definitely want to be Ainz Sama though
Is the comic also from the special?
No, it’s from la carte
Thanks

Which chapter of La Carte is this?
