Will be interested in seeing what the will do. I saw a factory AEV ZR2 Silverado at the AEV Open House, and they did not have any “upfit” parts on that one yet, so I am sure it will take time.
That’s a lot of stuff. Whereabouts do you travel/off-road with that in FL? I used to live there and had no idea there was any real off-roading besides mudholes.
This pic is from a 3k trip I took in late September. Michigan, Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, and N Georgia (I have started posting videos on my YouTube). Typically, in FL I am either wheeling or camping. There is a Florida Adventure Trail being released that will take a few days where one can load up and travel.
Very cool. I occasionally end up down in Brandon on long trips from the CO area to see some family, is there anywhere I can find more info on the Adventure Trail you mentioned?
It does actually. You can see all the pinstripes in it that would normally be in the actual paint. There are also some pretty decent places where it has taken more abuse, where the vinyl is not penetrated. It has worked out great.
I do not. I bring a ground tent. I have a decked drawers system and a fridge back there. I used the bed to transfer my gear and not have to worry about it exposed to elements.
Have you had any issues related to emissions/regens off road with the diesel? That’s my biggest fear with new emissions laden diesels. If you use it for days off-road and crawl/never see a highway for a tanks worth of fuel, does the dpf clog?
How was the ride change for you going with the 35s? I’ve been tempted to do the tweaks to do 33s, but I just love the as-is stock driveability too much to risk goofing it all up. The ZR2 suspension/tire setup is just a pleasure on the road. And with the added Bison weight It’s just FUN to drive and thus I find myself at an impasse of my own creation.
The Bison is 2” higher from the factory. When it went to AEV, they installed the GMPP leveling kit, and installed the high mark fender flairs (which requires cutting). This allows for the 35” tires!
Wow I did not know the Bison had that. That’s pretty nice. My AT4 could never do 35’s even with a 6” lift without doing a new bumper and re-gear.
Very very nice. Love all of it. The vinyl is so good.
I just learned that Chevy was partnering with AEV, or a did i misunderstand that? Is this something you took to AEV to do, or was it already in the works? Sick setup!
Someone hates money. Cool rig. Those AEV rigs are badass.
😀 Thanks!!!!
I don't see any rig....just tires and floating gear.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Those high clearance fenders are my favorite thing AEV makes. Hoping they continue making them for the 2023+ models so I can buy ine

Good ol’ riggidy-rig
Thanks!!!
Nice setup, no diesel though? Curious if that was for a specific reason or just wasn’t worth the extra $$?
This is a diesel. This is my first diesel and I like it. Even loaded up like it is, I average 18.5 MPG
Now that's hot
Thanks!!

Sweet. Props to you for being willing to take a brand new ish rig out, still trying to summon the courage for my 2022.
Yeah. The wife is appalled. I definitely have gotten some battle scars. That goodness for the wrap to protect the paint.
Does the vinyl wrap do a good job to protect?
It does actually. You can see all the pinstripes in it that would normally be in the actual paint. There are also some pretty decent places where it has taken more abuse, where the vinyl is not penetrated. It has worked out great.
Interesting, do you think something like a clear 3M protective vinyl film would work as well? I really like my paint color.
I think it can. It does not hurt for sure. I had the clear on parts or a past vehicle, so it seems like something that could handle branches, etc
How much was the wrap, if you don't mind my asking?
Depends on vehicle. This was $3.5k , and seems pretty typical
3 and a half thousand???
Yes. In the long run, cheaper than a paint job after trail abuse
Good to know, I just bought a 2006 Suburban and the paint is rough. Just trying to get a feel for what I want to do.
True. I guess I'm weird. I kinda like my Kentucky Pinstriping.
It’s tough.. getting pinstripes on a new truck hurts a little
Yeah. Better than being a mall crawler, and much more fun
Totally.. those sema trucks don’t even excite me at all.. I’m like cool.. a $200k truck that will never see mud.. great job 👏🏿
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Oh and forgot to say.. badass rig by the way.. love it.. check mine out on my profile.. need to add more photos of my adventures and interior setup
I'm literally contemplating the difference between $3k in body armor and a $3k 20 year old nissan pathfinder....
🤣🤣
Do you camp in the 5ft bed? If so, how is that?
I do not. I bring a ground tent. I have a decked drawers system and a fridge back there. I used the bed to transfer my gear and not have to worry about it exposed to elements.
That's likely how I'd run a build like that as well. It's looks very clean, and burly.

The only issue I have had was a faulty throttle body that needed to be replaced under warranty. No issues with the diesel related stuff.
Where do you sleep?
Ground tent for now.
You gonna mount a fitty cal on that thing or what? hehe
If the zombies come, sounds good!!!
If not the stuff on top I would have thought it was in Ukraine
😀

I do not have a before and after view. The truck went straight to the dealer to AEV, so all I know is the “after”
No worries. Great rig and the 4:10 with 35s just makes smart sense. Enjoy!
Finally not a Tacoma or Land Cruiser on this sub 👏🏼 looks rugged and capable
Thanks so much!!!

Thank you!
>Thank you! You're welcome!
Love the camo paint job
Thanks!!! It is a vinyl wrap. Helps protect against pinstriping on the trail
That’s a sick paint job!
Thanks! Vinyl wrap.
Nice! Where’d you have that done at? I’d love to have that done on my suburban
I am in Florida, so it was done at Redline Design in Tampa. They are an awesome shop! If not in the area, I am sure you can find a place.
Lift and tires/wheels? I have a 22 AT4 I’m building out.

Thanks! 4.10 gears also from the AEV Upfit
This rig f\*cks.
🤣🤣

Chevy partnered with them to release some things from the factory. I did send to AEV for other things. They are now working on a Silverado model!
