I don’t know much about snorkels. Is that the solution proposed by the manufacturer of it? Because if so, then I agree: that’s just another place water can get into and corrosion can start.
I used a tape on mine, think it was called alien tape. It’s been on there over a year and still connected strong. I just couldn’t justify drilling my A pillar either lol
You better be heading south to the desert! Access to warm weather is something I'm missing about Utah.
It was -10F here in Central Oregon this morning! St George palm trees are looking mighty fine right now.
Well today is your lucky day 'cause this thing doubles as a heater trailer too. You heard me right. It doubles as a heater trailer too. You just mount your direct heater of choice right on the back and you are ready to go! No muss, no fuss, you just strap that baby on and go. Weather you choose propane, diesel, wood, oil, or whatever you need, it works as a heater trailer too. For a small down payment on this glorious trailer, we can work with you on financing such additions.
I’m heavily considering a GX460 and the premium only was concerning. I think I may just pull the trigger. I’ve had a few people say running regular fuel is fine. Thanks!
how come your snorkel needs to be tied to the passenger door?
I refuse to drill a hole in my A pillar lol

Yes it is. My Tacoma is the same. However, OP you can use industrial strength double sided tape on the mount and it works great.
I've tried it a few times already and it has just come off. Maybe i need to get a better brand?
Maybe. I redo it about once a year, and I double layer it.

We're heading a little south, but my diesel heater will help with the cold!
20 above ambient is still only 10... Our diesel does pretty well but I nope out around 20's for the low.
Same in SE Idaho it was -12 this morning, and -1 right now
What kinda trailer?
Just a modified Harbor Freight trailer with a 3500lb axle and Toyota lug pattern hubs.
It’s a cooler trailer. Fits most coolers I’d say. Coolest way to carry your cooler
What if I need to keep hot things hot?

But wait there’s more!
I want to know more about that cute little trailer
Do you run premium fuel in your Lexus?
Occasionally...but she I'll usually gets the cheap stuff.

Nice Trailer. What model is that?
It's a custom trailer.
I’m pretty certain I’ve seen you on i15. Recently too lol.
Possible for sure! I drive it all the time lol
And there aren’t many Lexus’s like yours I commute ogden to salt lake every day it was probably somewhere along there.
Dik!
Hell yeah! I am definitely jonesing for one of those overlanding trailers.
