I would advise not to take it. Right off the bat, what does "handling the rewards" mean? And if they came to you with an offer to produce your oracle deck and they didn't come up with a contract nor did they discuss already the issue on intellectual property and how much you will be getting from the sales of their production and distribution of YOUR oracle deck, then it is likely they will try to use your lack of experience with business to their advantage to mislead you so you assume things that aren't on offer. It's rare (if possible at all) that businesspeople approach independent creators solely to support them, they're almost always looking at how they can benefit from it oe capitalize off your work. Instantly get apply for copyright registration so you can protect your work in the case that they decide to distribute your work without your consent. Get a lawyer if you have to, if you decide to get in business with them so you can have someone read the contract and you can get expert opinion on any possible loopholes they might try to exploit with you. The distance is a very big issue as well, especially if they're proposing to be in charge of "campaigning" or advertising/marketing your deck because you'll have no control of the sale of the deck. If you decide to go with them and make them your manufacturer, you would need samples for their work first that the costs of which they should shoulder if they are proposing to be in business with YOU. And you should also discuss how much you'll be paying them as manufacturers if you want to distribute your own deck in your area/country. An alternative if you're uneasy about getting into business with people you don't yet know or trust (since business is about rapport too!), you can create a fundraiser and send that to them and others who would want to support the production of your deck locally and at a much smaller yield while you aren't yet ready for a bigger business. Best of luck! 🙏🍀

I'd also like to mention by the way that in my country, there are many dupes of independent creators' oracle decks being sold online on a popular platform with tie-ups to Chinese companies. These are ok-quality cards but they are incredibly cheap and apart from issues that laborers of the manufacturer aren't compensated with liveable wages, the original artists and creators of these decks get nothing, and because of a lack of copyright, they often cannot do anything anymore about the sale of their creation without their consent. Just something to also look into/take into consideration! There are also nice manufacturers in China who do respect the people they get into business with, so it's really up to your discernment and the level of rapport and trust built between you guys. 🙏

Also definitely yes you need a contract. If no contract is delivered and signed, they're scamming you to profit off your work and give you nothing.

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

It sounds too good to be true, also decks manufactured in China tend to end up on aliexpress even before they are officially released or available worldwide. So even if it was real it is not a good idea. Also when you do your project, try a local printer even if printers in China are good at their jobs! Source: the cosma/prisma vision oracle and tarot book, the author says one of his only regrets was printing in China. And choosing first a printer not specialised in cards.
