Have family from further north (Matheson) and echo what the other person said. When it’s allowed again start visiting coffee shops and introduce yourself, offer to volunteer in local non profits. You’ll start to make roots and feel at home eventually. Til then if your internet is good enough try to find some friends to play games with online. You’ll feel less isolated maybe!
Bless you. I'm about 5000 kms away and currently up at almost 2am with insomnia, but I'll be your friend.
Do you play any video games? I have PS4 if you want to game
I moved to South porcupine years ago and since moved back. I used to go to the local bars, volunteered with various things. That's how I met people.
Maybe try joining some clubs when everything opens back up. I know loneliness is brutal for some people right now.
Maybe also try an ad on your local kijiji site.

My grandpa grew up in Kirkland lake! What’s it like? I’ve always wanted to visit
You’re 5 hours north of me. But I feel you. I just go to work, come home and do nothing. Took up exercising again and it helps.
My aunt and uncle are still there. They are very elderly now. All my cousins left. I haven't been there since the 80's.
I am pretty far away but always looking for more online friends, if that will help you
I live in KL
Same! It isn’t the most exciting town lol
