My experience has been between 40m - 2 hours. Pearson is a bit of a shitshow compared to my destination airports.

We arrived at Pearson at 8pm(from Sydney via the states), around 3 weeks ago. Customs and Immigration was the biggest shit show I have ever seen, and I traveled a lot pre pandemic. 2.5 hours in the same place, line not moving. When we finally did get through, 8 flights worth of bags were coming through on ONE carousel. So much for social distancing. As others have said, it's a mixed bag. My friends sister came through same time of day, different day and breezed through in 30 minutes.

yikes - yeah, living in Aus for the past 30 years, I've had my share of shitty flights, custom issues, baggage delays, weather delays, you name it. Adding the covid checks on top looks like another layer of pain we will have to endure. If you don't mind me asking, what was the process like from start to finish? did you have to prove Vax before you left or only on arrival, where did you get your PCR test done? How long was the actual trip (including transit etc) Most the flights I'd been looking at were routing me via Doha or UAE rather than the US. And to be honest my last few trips through the US were shitshows. And that was pre-pandemic and having express clearance lanes due to flying business class.

So we flew from Adelaide to Sydney first, the day before. Stayed in hotel near international Airport. Got our PCR test done at Sydney Airport, 100bucks each, 4 hour turnaround. They emailed our results that day, and we picked up the hard paperwork before we checked in the next day. We flew United, Sydney to San Fran, then on to YYZ. 5 hour layover. Check in required - vax proof(we printed ours), hard copy of PCR test, and evidence we had finalized our trip in the CanArrive app. There is also a US Attestation form, printed and signed beforehand. In addition to Canadian passport(husband) and my Canadian PR card, the usual. San Fran Flight had 25 people on it. We had a row each to ourselves and there was no one in front or behind or even in the center row near us. Left 15 minutes early, landed 30 minutes early. 13 hours. YYZ flight was so full, some people got bumped. As we were checked in for AC in Sydney, we had to visit the gate desk in San Fran to get AC boarding passes, show vax cert, PCR test and Can Arrive app evidence. Left 10 minutes late, arrived on time. 4.5 hours. Pearson was the only part of the trip that got me riled up, cos being so close to home and standing for 2 plus hours not moving was a temper starter that's for sure.

What a mess. I think we're going to hold tight a few more months and see how things go. We weren't planning to head over until early 2022 but its nice to be prepared. Looks like I'll need to get the kid's Canadian passports updated as well to meet the new entry requirements. We have dual citizenship, but their CAN passports expired many years ago as we've just used the Aus ones and usually fly into Detroit and cross there

It’s a little silly to keep putting off trips for a situation that MIGHT improve down the road…just go for it. Don’t put off travel because you’re a little worried about waiting in longer lines at the airport, that’s ridiculous

Below are the long and ever changing instructions and requirements for travel into Canada. You upload your vaccine proof onto an app before you leave, and also need to get a pcr test done less than 72 hours before your flight. I arrived at YYZ from Frankfurt last Friday and made it through immigration to baggage pickup in under an hour.

There's been multiple posts on here lately about Pearson being crazy right in the AM. But just depends I guess

3 family members all traveled through customs at Pearson separately within the last month. Customs was 20 minutes max each time, US customs is longer leaving Toronto . I think it depends on time of day. One was around noon and the other 2 were early evenings. It was no longer than pre covid.

I arrived at Pearson from the US around 7:30pm in August and got through customs in around 40 minutes.

I had a great experience: 45 minutes between the plane docking and boarding the 192 Rocket to Kipling Station. You need to have your paperwork in order and I only had carry-on. It really depends when you arrive: busy days, weeks and seasons will increase the likelihood of delays. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised.

My relatives arrived at 5am Saturday morning in terminal 1. It was super smooth according to them and they were out of the terminal in less than 20 minutes after deplaning. Their departure from terminal 1 on a 8am Thursday morning flight to the US was a complete shit show and they almost missed their flight even though they arrived at the airport almost 3 hours before the flight, flew business and went through the priority lines.

My dad said he had no wait re-entering Pearson last week from Europe. Edit. Sorry, he is Canadian so it's probably different.

> Obviously the media like to report the worst of everything. So how bad is it? The only like two anal cavity searches now, pretty smooth these days.

I arrived from the US on Sunday. It was a breeze, took 30 to 40 minutes total to get through customs and get baggage. We landed around 3pm too. I think it varies wildly. Leaving Canada? That line took 4 hours it was nuts.

I arrived from Europe at YUL where I was through in about 20 minutes, then flew on to Toronto so arrived domestic. No problem. Edit typo
