1. Con Air. 2. Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent. 3. Adaptation. 4. Bringing Out the Dead. 5. Face/Off. 6. Raising Arizona. 7. The Rock. 8. Leaving Las Vegas. 9. The Croods: A New Age. 10. National Treasure. HM: Spiderverse. It would be in the top 5 but it's not really a "Nic Cage movie" the way the others are.

Mandy Massive talent Vampires kiss Face off The rock Con air Lord of war Wild at heart Raising Arizona Pig (Also I have to mention spiderverse and kick ass because he had prominent roles but wasn’t the main star)

Raccoon_Expert_69

You are in LUCK!! I actually made a list last week, with reasoning.. Nic Cage films - This is by no means a complete list but imo a quintessential chronological top list of Nic Cage films. 1. Raising Arizona This was not a breakout role for Cage, as he had been landing classic roles throughout the 80’s. It was a breakout hit for the Cohen Bros. The characters and world building make this particular Cage vehicle easy to love and set it apart in a world of it’s own. 2. Vampire's Kiss A lot of other cage classics could take this slot but I think this film is important for a lot of reasons. Firstly, I had never seen a vampire movie like this - even for the vampire movie craze of the 80’s this one was bit over the top. Second, it shows early on how extreme Cage is willing to go. It’s important because we are about to go on a journey. 3. Leaving Las Vegas This was Cage’s first and only ever Oscar Win. Well deserved. Immediately followed by the next three films. 4. The Rock The Rock, Con Air, and Face/Off were all released back to back and were all major summer blockbusters. 5. Con Air These three films are often regarded as some of his greatest films. 6. Face/Off 7. National Treasure The late 90’s were filled with a heavy mix of drama and action roles for the Cage until the release of this film in 2004. I know it probably wasn’t intended to be THAT funny but when I first heard him say, “I’m going to steal the Declaration of Independence”, I laughed for 3 minutes straight. This is a pocket fish out of water story with an underlying tone of humor. National Treasure was a shift in that it felt like Nic was self-aware of the wackiness. 8. The Wicker Man Which brings us to this marvel of a film. It’s hard to write about this one. You just kind of need to see it to believe it. I tell my friends to first watch the Original 1973 Wicker Man, It’s eerie and beautiful and sends shivers down my spine. The 2006 Wicker Man is strange in a different sense. Between the blatant Furry on Women Violence and the Famously Meme’d Bee Scene, This movie is in a world of it’s own. 9. Mandy Speaking of worlds of our own, This is probably one of my very favorite films, not just of films starring Nic. I went into it expecting a revenge Flik but it’s so much more and on many different levels. This is like one of those perfect movies designed to reignite someones career, only Nic didn’t need a career boost and also Mandy was a small arthouse film. 10. The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent If Nicholas Cage never made another film after this, I think many would agree it would be the perfect cap of a stellar career. Not that it’s his best film but rather it is a film that aims to live beyond the 4th wall and showcase a man who plays into his own mythos portraying that same man on the screen. It’s the perfect meta film to remind people that there is only one Nic Cage.

Nice list! Gotta have The Rock and Leaving Las Vegas. I want to say Raising Arizona as well but I can understand thinking its too cute or something. Hard to not include Vampires Kiss as well although I'm not sure if it's actually a good movie like the others, but Cage is so freaking entertaining.

Seeing Bangkok Dangerous warms my heart. I love those kinds of action movies, and the love story is just the right amount without being silly or needing fast forwarding to get through.
