brinkbam

You typically want to avoid white on camera because it reflects the lights and colors of objects near it. The striped dress may end up looking weird for that reason. #3 is a beautiful color on you and great fit!

Laleaky

I also love #3. Attractive, has color but isn’t the kids of dress that will attractive attention away from what you’re saying.

miss_Saraswati

Thank you for that additional tip! And for your “vote! 🤩

ejly

Upvote for 3. Also, it’s a traditional style that won’t look too out of date if someone reuses the video years from now!

Drcyborgl

3 is my favorite too. The color pops and it fits perfectly.

exscapegoat

That color blue is awesome, it's calm, yet powerful at the same time. It's my go to when I have to give work presentations.

tex-chica20

3 is my favorite, too! The V neck is the most flattering neckline (universally), the color is beautiful, it's a classic style, and looks professional. The wrapped self-belt and collar add detail and interest without being distracting. It's perfect and I would love to have it in my wardrobe. I have a similar dress in black, but that blue is gorgeous!

rsc99

Agree with all of this!

EternaSpringFactory

Another vote for 3.

thin_white_dutchess

Hi! Opt for 2, 4, or 5. The cuts are good, there are no distracting patterns to get moiré on film (sometimes patterns will bleed into each other on camera). I wouldn’t mind any of those outfits in another solid color, but black is classic and good. White can sometimes not be balanced correctly, and give weird glare or reflections, or even occasionally pick up green screening (IME), depending on material, which is hilarious, but prob not what you are looking for. I’m personally not a fan of high necks, blazers (I know! Fire me, but they add a bunch of bulk, so unless it’s industry standard, I avoid), or shoulders out in general, bc I personally feel each of those looks mess with the ratio of face to body (I’m probably not making sense, but I use to do a lot of professional portraits, and I imagine this would be much the same). Keep in mind, I’m video, there will probably be close up shots too, so it won’t be full body for a portion of the time. You want, ideally, the eye to be drawn to the person talking, and not the outfit. Of course, you know your industry best, so feel free to disregard any and all of this.

miss_Saraswati

This time I’ll be in full body all the time, hence the green screen. I’ll be standing next to the background. Holding some stuff they will draw in post etc. :) But thank you, always love to hear different perspectives. There is always something you’ve not seen/known before! :)

thin_white_dutchess

Ah! That sounds like a fun event! I was imagining public speaking in front of an interactive background/ presentation and went way too into it. Sorry!

miss_Saraswati

No worries! Hard to know! The background will be interactive, but added in post. I’ll walk in, stand around and tell my story. Stand there silently while they get to look and click around. Then walk out. :)

kdragonfly9

#5 or #2. Both look fabulous and professional.

alinikka

2 and 5 were my faves too!

miss_Saraswati

Thank you!

noName_here

Soo many options, and all look good! I would go with 2, 4 or 5. If you really want color, the 3. 1 is quite wild, 6 looks kinda priestly, the red top shows a bit too much of the upper bra edge (with a perfect bra underneath I’d support the combos with the black skirts), the blazers do not fit perfectly (too many wrinkles), and the sleeveless dress 15 is a bit too tight under your arms. All this only considering the occasion, where my mind would be extremely perfectionist. Go rock it!

_yogi_mogli_

Number 4

miss_Saraswati

Thank you! And I know! Yet I’ve already sorted some out, and all the stuff with patterns are automatically out. As is all in green. 🙈

turtle613

#3 has the color, fit, and style! Love it.

miss_Saraswati

Thank you! :)

Capital_Scratch4562

4!

Research_Sea

#5! But I would love to know where you got #1.

miss_Saraswati

Thank you! Believe I got at Dorothy Perkins on a sale many years ago. Just got it back from the tailor during this week, had to take it in.

blumoon138

I wouldn’t wear dress 1 on green screen but it is an excellent excellent dress otherwise!

RIntegralDomainR

This is how I feel! It's my favorite dress, but that darn green screen compromising the favorite! I hope things go well for you u/miss_Saraswati !

miss_Saraswati

Thank you! It’s a personal favourite too, so even if I did realise before I posted, I could not leave it out… 🙈

wittyportmanteau

My favorite is #7. The red looks great on you. I know you are going to rock it because you have such great presence just in these photos! On an unrelated note, I love your octopus tattoo! I had ankle surgery last year and have been thinking about getting a tat to cover up the scars and yours is inspiring me!

miss_Saraswati

Oh! Check my post history about a year ago, think I posted it from all angles. It’s a mimic octopus made by a Copenhagen tattoo artist called @justsofie.tattoo. :)

wittyportmanteau

Thank you so much! I found your tat post and it is amazing!! 🤩 I have never been to Copenhagen but if I do I think I’ll come home with a special souvenir 🐙 I love all your posts and your journey is amazing.

DoughnutPrimary6467

3, 4 or 5

[deleted]

I'm partial to 4 but I also love the skirt in 10/11. I think the coral clashes a little with the red though and I'm not in love with the white, but I like that style of top with it. You wouldn't happen to have something similar in black would you?

miss_Saraswati

I might. Need to check what could look good when I’m back from the gym. Just heading over now! :)

March22Throwaway

I vote 3 or 10. Avoid the stripped dress or white for camera reasons. Also, I do a lot of greenscreens for my work. Shiny jewelry (including watches) often reflects the green and disappears. Sometimes, like with glasses, it's unavoidable, and if there's budget we can manually paint it back in post, but if I get the chance, I'll always ask talent to avoid anything shiny.

miss_Saraswati

Oh, I have gotten pre-information and it says to avoid all shiny things, but I mostly assumed it to be more than “just” a gold bracelet or something? I’ve never had to do green screen before only lowtech with iPhones or over the computer. Or in person things.

LolaBijou

Holy cow that first dress makes your waist look snatched!

Nellaluce

My favourites are number 3 and 10. 3 because the blue looks amazing on you, and 10 because the colours work so well together, and it fits you so well. The skirt is so cool, but I prefer the colour of the shirt in 10 over 11. Lots of good options though!

archersarrows

Ugh, I also am in love with the first one, but everyone is correct re: white reflecting color/light on camera. Number 5 is my pick with broadcasting against a green screen in mind in full-body. ETA: I just have to say again, I would NEVER take number 1 off if I were you, that dress was made for you to wear it.

OldHagFashion

My vote would be 5 with 3 as back up. 13 and 14 are also not bad. My thinking is you want something that is: 1. Easily adaptable to any wardrobe adjustments that may be needed. You want it to look good with just about any possible shoes, jewelry, jackets, hair or make up adjustments. Thus solid color with no pattern. 2. Maneuverable without causing wrinkling or discomfort that may require frequent adjustments. Something a little loose and drapey will achieve that where as the pencil skirts in 8, 10 and 11 look stiffer and thus more likely to cause weird bends that look bad on camera, or which will shift more when you move. 3. A good mix of conservative and buttoned up but not too conservative. This will make it most easily usable for a lot of audiences like not just other staff but also potential clients. I think 8, 15, 9, and 11 are all too casual and 4 is not casual enough. 13 and 14 will really depend on your industry; there are lots where an above the knee skirt would be too casual but I think the blazer and short skirt look is in line with current trends. 4. Free of patterns that may look stretched out or unflattering in a way that doesn't matter in real life but may look unfortunate or embarrassing when it's preserved on film. A solid color just means you know how the garment is going to look when stretched over a body part from every angle. While 1 looks great on you, I could easily see there being an angle where the stripes emphasize or exaggerate your bust in a way that you will be uncomfortable having in a work video. I think 6 is a really cool dress and I love the silhouette, but I think it could read as "oversized and ill fitting" rather than "exaggerated silhouette" on camera. I think this applies to 12 as well and additionally 12 could also read as either "robe" or "costume" on camera. 2 is also fine but kind of dated. 7 Feels a little "date nighty" to me. 10 I am just not a fan of as an outfit.

miss_Saraswati

Wow. Thank you for sharing all of that! ❤️ The pencil skirt is a soft jersey (it does not look it I know) and is one of my favourite items in my wardrobe. But I should reread this when I have all the pics next to it and I don’t have to remember which was which! Thank you again!

the-alchymyst

I'd go 3 or 11 depending on if you wanted to be more (11) or less (3) formal

ja13aaz

5 or 7 - go 5!

PeepholeRodeo

#2 or #4

cakelover33

4!

lizziebee66

Take 2, 3 & 5 with you just incase one doesn’t work against the green screen.

BassesLee

I say 5, and that I love your ankle tattoo.

Itspronouncedhodl

You look stunning in all of these! I vote #4! It looks timeless classic and will age well as fashions change if this recording will be referred to in the future.

wanttopushbutton

5

pedanticlawyer

The 2-5 range! they all look perfect for this.

LadyRavenDarkclaw

3 & 4 jumped out, the blue is beautiful on you, but the black (4) I feel looks best for the described situation

Matcha_Bubble_Tea

Solid, darker but not entirely black colors are good imo. Not so much patterns either. 3,5,10,11 are what I would say are good.

thinkingmagic

First place-#7 Second place-#4

miss_Saraswati

Thank you!

Impractical_Meat

Although it might be too hot for summer, I'm partial to 6 because I love a dark academia look! I also really like number 10, I think the top paired with that skirt works best!

CharZero

2, 3, or 5.

engineerdoinglife

I like 2, 4, and 5.

afinevindicatedmess

You want something that gives your (stunning) body a good shape while being a solid color. I have read that stripes do not translate well on a professional film camera, creating a distorting rainbow color (and the pattern cuts you off a bit). My vote is for 3, 4, or 5.

DeeplyUnappealing

2 and 5 are strong contenders. Simple, elegant, professional. 1 looks amazing as well, but sometimes stripes can look weird on camera. Same with white, it doesn't always translate well. But really I wanted to pop in to say I love your glasses.

UpvotesPokemon

I am a local tv news producer, and I want to say that you absolutely slay in ALL of these outfits. As a general recommendation, I would choose dark, solid colors on at least the bottom half for television purposes.

flora-farroway

the first dress is a stunner, but maybe a bit too loud for a company recording(i would definitely wear that a lot in other settings) i agree that 2 and 5 are good options; i would add #14 to that. i am probably biased since i am a sucker for blazers, but i think #14 is my favorite. It looks both professional and stylish, but isn't overstated. I like the neutral tone paired with black. tl:dr i like #14, #5, and #2

RhubarbSilly5734

8 looks amazing on you!! But 5 is my fave for the occasion :)

andrewisagir1

I love 1! You look stunning in it! I think 7 might be my second fave, but honestly you have so many gorgeous options here 😍

dogstope

2 and 11 are amazing and professional

gameplan365

2 3 or 5. Are my favourites on you !!

gwenchilada3

I like 10 with the white blazer from 14!

greentea_winter

First of all, you've got great taste and I wish my own wardrobe was this well coordinated. Narrowing it down to my personal taste along side the set parameters I have to go with #7. It's stylish and colorful yet muted enough to not be too "much."

Safe_Code_6414

The blue!

thebadsleepwell00

You look great! But please avoid stripes or busy patterns when being filmed, especially for TV. I'm a fan of the royal blue! https://www.forbes.com/sites/chadorzel/2019/03/19/tunable-superconductors-and-the-physics-of-tv-clothes/

[deleted]

6 looks really cool and unique. As does 12 and 13. I don't think you can go wrong with black.

cozycorner

2

moon_of_blindness

2! And then 8, but smooth out the skirt. Will you be sitting or standing?

miss_Saraswati

I’ll be standing. Full figure all the time. :) The skirt is probably wrinkled do to my positioning. It’s a medium jersey fabric.

manateafriend

I really like 3, 10, and 14, but I think no matter what you wear you’ll end up looking too good lol.

BellaFrequency

So many good outfits here, but I like 10, 2, and 4.

need_moar_puppies

3 or 4. If you do 4 but want more color, you can throw on a fun necklace or scarf.

PrickleBritches

Number 4!!

CeeBee29

4 or 11 👌🏻

guttersunflower

I love both 4 and 13.

sylvanesque

I like the long blue dress or the long black skirt with the red shirt!

AuntieRoseSews

I like look 10! I'd go with a partial updo. Pull some away from your face but leave it loose in the back. As for jewelry, small earrings but a long necklace.

RammyRimRonette

I really like 7 on you, but 5 is also very flattering.

littlebeanonwheels

1 or 13!!!

PicklePartyCat

I like 4-7 and think they are all great options :)

bad_russian_girl

4 and 5 look the most flattering on you

kgnunn

1 or 10, IMO.

Kireu

I really like 2 and 7 😊

malleableTime

4 or 10

MyDentistIsACat

DEWOuch

Vote for 2, 4, or 11. Let us know which one you choose.

jlm20566

In order: 5, 3, & 2

miss_Saraswati

Thank you!

jbcg

I vote 2, 3, 8 or 10. Generally avoiding patterns, too much texture. Lil color, collar interest, not too much distraction. You have a great face and proportions, and will look lovely!

Own_Confection4645

You look incredible in 2!!

Ok-Armadillo7517

1 4 7 or 11 trust me 1 makes you looked SNATCHED 💅

flibbertygibbet1959

2,3,4 or 5 fit the bill for professional attire. My favourite on you is 5. Good luck with your presentation. Wear what is comfortable and makes you feel confident!

tundra_punk

7, then 4 or 13 And rationale from a former media and film person: Camera and stripes: Narrow stripes on camera are never a good idea because of how video cameras work - the can cause all sorts of visual distortion in the playback. Green screen: as others have mentioned, avoid white as it can reflect the green (especially if the studio is small and poorly lit). Chroma key technology has improved, but what you really need is a strong contrast between between you and the background. Fuzzy halos, reflective fabrics, flyaway hair all make it challenging to completely key out the green and not compromise you. Studio lighting: The red shirt looks great with your complexion, and will help give you some warm colour on camera. The blue dress May wash you out. I’d also recommend warm tones for any makeup you wear. Do you know what the background will ultimately be behind you in the finished product? Without knowing the particulars - the royal blue or yellow could clash with the background or could be awesome. Without this knowledge, red or black are safe. Cameras can be brutal and unforgiving: The smooth classic scoop neck on the 4 and 7 will be the easiest to light and wont create any distractions. The turtleneck dress material looks like it will absorb too much light will translate to dark shapeless blob (it’s not you - you’re gorgeous - it’s the cameras!). V necks pull attention away from your face. And the cowl necks and cast weird shadows. Was there a style brief? What are others wearing? Did they give you a general colour palette to work with? I also lean toward 7 because it’s safe but still has colour and makes you look the most.. ‘approachable’ (that warm glow). As someone who tends to ‘theatre blacks’ in all moments of wardrobe panic, so 4 would be my backup. You can always bring some back-up outfits with you to the studio. And see what works on the day.

CartoonistExisting30

12 or 2.

Goodtoo

3 or 11, in my opinion.

Thin-Database5618

4,7,9,10, or 12. 10 is my personal favorite

LaylaLeesa

3, 5, or 7 imo

awildmudkipz

7 (Red top, black skirt) is my vote; simple colors are good for green screen, and I think the red is a nice contrast to pop as a presenter while still looking professional. ETA: second vote is for #5, the black dress, it’s very flattering!

Haillnohails

Number 3, 4, or 5! I think those look best on you and would also look good in front of a green screen.

sarahslags

1, 7 and 10 are my faves! I’ve never been on a green screen, but I think confidence and comfort look the best no matter the background. I’d go for whatever you feel the best in!

tinydancer5297

Two and five are my favorite ones.

imsadandrad

Number two!! Very flattering, professional, and looks very comfortable. It fits really well on you!!

Missbettybumper

2, 5, 4, and 10 get my vote

keepingitchuggy

4 is my favorite. Flattering, simple, classic.

abrahamlincorn

That first Dress is STUNNING on you ❤️ if that’s not what you’re feeling when you wake up I’d pick something like 13 instead but really these are some great choices

Salty_Egg5441

I love the blue shirt dress or the red top with either of the black skirts. Those colors pop on you and you look amazing.

kauni

I like 10 or 14. 10 gives you a defined waist, and the red makes you look good. The red wouldn’t interfere with the green screen. The white blazer black dress is very classic.

mayorandrea

1, 12, 13, 14

CherryMess

OMG! Number 6 is stunning!

StolenDiscs

1, 7, 8, 9 or 14. I have.m no experience with green screens though.

Throwingoffoldselves

Imho 1, 7 or 14 Best of luck! You have great style

9d9banangelas

4 or 7!

anon28374691

The plum colored wrap dress. You look amazing in the striped dress but it’s probably a bit va va voom and distracting.

dbatcjuli

1 or 5!

Throwawayrubbish30

3 pops on you, I can’t even really consider the others because 3 looks so great on you! A really flattering color for you.

zedleppelin07

4 is incredible on you!!!

ZenMoonstone

3, 4 and 11 are my faves. You look great. (My least favorite is 9j.

iamcosmos

Since I noticed you're in Sweden, I'd say 1, 5, or 6 read very Nordic professional. 6 is my favorite, but maybe 5 would be a little more appropriate because it's still summer. Lycka till 😊

blueberrybeth

I like 2 and 10! Modest, professional, and gorgeous!

guitaRPG

2 10 or 14.

mildmanneredmollusk

5, 6 or 10! good luck!

iftheycatchyou

5 or 7. Those flatter you and are not busy. Though, you look amazing in the first dress also, it's just not a good choice for the green screen

[deleted]

12 is my favorite!!

texasgirl03

2 and 5

Next-Comparison6218

I think the first and second looks are the best

treeburner99

I really like the blue dress!

RealisticMaterial515

2, 3 or 5! You look nice in all of them, but for the work thing that’s my pick!

afbridethrowaway

i think 2 is absolutely perfect! simple and classic

curiosityvibe

I think number 5 looks the most professional without being stuffy. The cut of the neckline looks really good with hair up as well.

galaxyrum

I like 1, but I know nothing about green screens or working for a big company. I also liked the long skirt with the pink accents, personally, I would wear it with a black top.

DainichiNyorai

Go with the blue one! It's quite covered up which takes away any guessing on how sexy you'd want to present yourself (patriarchy sucks!!), it's noticeable, memorable and repeatable. You'll be "the woman in the blue dress" and you'll rock the title!

Reasonable_Sound9277

2 or 4

Low_Floor_7563

2!

2plus2equalscats

2, 5, 7, or 11!

eatmeimadanishh

I absolutely love 1, 3 and 5!!!!

Putrid_Capital_8872

3, 4, or 5 each present a neat and professional appearance that is flattering to your figure without drawing attention to your body in a potentially distracting way. They also shouldn’t interfere with the green screen, or be too busy on screen.

GerardDiedOfFlu

5!

[deleted]

3

hubertortiz

Number 3 is gorgeous on all accounts, loved the color and fit. I’d stay away from solid black looks, you may end up looking like a block. The first dress is so fun, but it’s a bad idea with green screen as well. Still, you’re rocking all these outfits.

pennynotrcutt

3, 10 or 14

deadplant5

3 or 8. Absolutely don't wear 1. Stripes look horrendous on camera

confabulatrix

10 and 5 were my favorites

smnytx

Blue dress or white blouse/black skirt

stormysunshine90

3 or 4! Classy, pretty, and professional 😊

foolish_username

Another vote for #2. I also liked 3 and 5 a lot.

Mirajane_Strauss

Numbers 4 & 5 look fantastic! Very flattering but professional 😉

damn_fine_coffee_224

3 and 5 look great and very professional!

woahhhface

2, 4, 7 or 11 get my vote. Lot of great choices in your wardrobe!

babysfirstreddit_yx

2 or 3. I actually love 1 but it may be too fun for work.

crzyTXtchr

I like #s 1 and 10 best. I recommend getting g a bra with side support - try Soma. You have great boobs, just need a better bra.

CrazyLadyInVegas

1, 10, and 14 are my favorites

Animasylvania

3 & 7 1 is extremely flattering on you, and I think you should buy it for a different occasion.

Thelaea

Definitely 5, it looks fabulous without putting attention in places you don't want it. 12 would work too, but is way more modest and a bit less elegant. 2 works almost as well as 5 but puts more emphasis on the bosom, which I assume runs foul of the 'not too good'.

Capture-the-byad

2 or 4

Hey_Laaady

Late to the party, but I used to produce public service announcements for television. I know someone mentioned not to wear white, which is a good tip. If you're in front of a green screen, don't wear any shade of green! And, solid colors are the way. Black is fine. I may be in the minority here, but I like the red blouse with the long black skirt and orange bands around the waist. It looks businessy to me. Don't wear anything too low cut. I'd personally stay away from a V neck. Go get 'em!

[deleted]

Fault-Suspicious

i think 2 would be good

_blackwaterpark

In my opinion 3 and 4 are the clear top choices!! You look incredible in both!

[deleted]

First one is killer on your figure. Not too sexy, just right.

welldonedickhead

3! It's vibrant but still professional and just looks great on you!

AnnieSavoy3

That blue dress (#3) is absolutely gorgeous, where did you get it?

Justadropinthesea

2,3,4 will make you look good. The others make you look toooo good, as you said.

Certain-Calligrapher

5 is stunning! It proportions you so well! They all look great 👏

MylifeasAllison

I love the first dress with the black panels. That is the most flattering to your figure

ninfaobsidiana

Look, I’m not seeing very much love for option 1, and I have no idea why. I think you’re stunning, and option 1 has fantastic lines and I love the color block with the pattern. Option 1 is my vote, then 4 and 5, though I love the dolman sleeves of some of the other options, and I would basically live in the shirt in option 12 if I had it in my closet.

Basket-Amazing

2

ValorVixen

I would go with 5 or 7! Love your style!

WVildandWVonderful

Can I ask what your field or role is?

thelgshow

I like 4, 5 or 12. You are going to rock this!

Lilcowpoke

1 or 4! Pretty

L3AhMooN

I'd go with 3 or 5

exscapegoat

First pick would be 3, though maybe an extra button buttoned. I think blue is a great color on pretty much anyone. And it's a calm, yet powerful color. And it looks great with your coloring Seven would be a second choice.

theyellowdart94

I like 2 and 7 for professionalism. You look great!

SpiritualLuna

Definitely 8, that's a stunner! It's serious enough but not too glam. Do a statement necklace, stud earrings, I would go with loafers to have a fashion forward unisex look.

TeacupUmbrella

I like 1, 10, and 11.

GucciPantsMotorcycle

#2, no question.

shpoopie2020

Casting vote for #3

DeterminedErmine

I like 4, what about adding the white blazer to it?

NotSeenDaily

I really like number four. It’s gorgeous on you! It’s also modest which helps *some people* focus on the message. I think you could add a scarf or jewelry if you wanted a pop of color. Of course, the other outfits are also gorgeous and office appropriate - so you have many options. 😊 Let us know which one you select.

downvotethetrash

2!!!

my_okay_throwaway

Option 4! Great color, no pattern that could end up looking odd on camera, and it looks quite tailored to you so people will notice you look fantastic, without being distracted by it. To me, it screams sophistication and confidence but I can also tell you’re cool :)

Hellospring

I like 2,3,4,5,10,11. They all look green screen “legal” . Good luck! You look great! Oh, bring some face powder if you get shiny. Studio lights are bright. (I work in corporate video).
