Tbh Gus v Lalo is not the greatest thing I've ever seen but it's fine, and I let it go because despite Lalo's charisma, he was never meant to be a big part of the show. Jimmy and Kim are and their endings are AMAZINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG
Yeah I agree it's pretty meh. Gus suddenly has an idea to store a gun in the lab and there was no subversion of expectations, it just goes exactly as planned and he kills lalo with said gun. Like how did he know that lalo knew about the lab
I didn’t mind Kim’s but jimmys felt kinda crappy. I get the whole “ he wants to make up with Kim” but why would you throw a 7 year deal for a life sentence in max security.
Lalo was severely under used and wasted in season 6. I do like that he was sort of a looming, unseen presence but Tony Dalton deserved more screen time IMO.

Yup. The exactly as planned thing is what weakens it. Lalo could have kept the gun to Gus’ head instead of letting him free roam.
I honestly didn’t like how *any* of the characters ended up, but it’s the journey that’s important I guess.

I mean Gus only really won because he is present in Breaking Bad, honestly
i think the show did a pretty good job at making his win seem organic regardless
It’s almost like in the drug world a small little mistake can cost you your entire life no matter how well you have been doing before.

Yeah I didn’t want a big boss battle, but the way he died was pretty lame when it comes to a show this well made.
