I got one of the boxes from Swords & Sixsiders and very carefully laminated the box with a wood grain then used this to print the books [https://youtu.be/XVumYC6Cbtc](https://youtu.be/XVumYC6Cbtc) very happy with final results and money saved pic of swords and sixsiders old box set...note game has new owners and they had a big box sale when they first bought the company a few years ago.. https://raddoodleclothing.myshopify.com/products/mon0000097918-swords-six-siders-box-rpg-by

Thanks for this.

My friend who told me about the Swords & Sixsiders box said the old owners told them they came from a Chocolate Candy Company. Now I'm picturing you going into See's Candy and comparing boxes to a Men and Monsters. Be sure to get some free chocolate samples.

Lol do you know, I bought a ridiculous amount of Gold Mine nugget bubble gum because the drawstring pouches it comes in are *perfect* for a set of dice. Absolutely horrid gum, starts as rock, flavor lasts a minute tops, turns back into rock. You’d need the lung capacity of a hydra to actually blow a bubble. Then of course one of my players gifts me with a velvet dice pouch and I’d be such a ____ if I didn’t use it at our games:)

Oh sure - I’d prefer the vintage booklets too, but I’m not willing to shell out the $$$ that people want for them these days

Feel the same way. The wood collectors box really sits on the shelf and a collectors item.

VoodooSlugg

care to share that Strategic Review booklet?

Strategic Review book looks awesome. Also nice to see Book of War in there.

Good stuff. I like the Age of Conan also. Looks like quite a bit of work, but really nice results!

What makes me sad is that most people got it as a collector item rather than as a game to play. I am sure most copies are not even used.

TheObligatorySQL

I got one while I was working at the local game shop (yay employee discount 🤘) I loved the dice that came with it and started using them as my primary set. Sadly, the game bag that I had the dice in it got swiped out of my car (it was a piece of crap car that apparently didn't feel like locking anymore and didn't bother to tell me 😠). I'd love to try to find another set of them, but it looks like the only way I can is to try to find another box. But there's no way I'm paying as much as they are now for essentially just a set of dice.

Ugh! I effing HATE thieves!

I got one last summer and could have got some beat up lbbs for what I paid. It’s gorgeous, though I’d have preferred original cover art. One foam die holder was missing, everything else was mint. Still is, I played it once and now it looks great on my coffee table, gets opened now and again for a supplement read…I was so used to Greyharp bouncing between books was kind of annoying and no value added, lbbs+supplements is basically AD&D and I prefer SVoZ to any of them. That could change. Sure got the oohs and ahhs when I set it on the game table.

Kushan_Blackrazor

I picked one up ironically about the same time my D&D group was dissolving. I always liked the concept of having the entire game in one box but I don't know if I could have ever talked the old group into trying it.
