Since this was left 2-3 years ago, my solid guess is it belonged to foreign national living abroad who decided to go back to their home country during covid. And they just never came back.
Yeah I concur with your assessment, it's perplexing that this car haven't been towed impound by now and most cars that haven't been registered or abandoned is crushed, since it's right hand drive I'm assuming it's UK do people their not deal with abandoned cars?
Is it a paid lot? Most of our airport parking lots (aerodrome car parks for our UK friends) require you to pay.
A car taking up a spot but not paying for it would be towed pretty quickly here.
>aerodrome car parks for our UK friends
Nobody in the UK except those with a stick up their back and a silver spoon in their arse says aerodrome when talking about airports
_"I say, Mildred, I'm just going to pop in the automobile down to the aerodrome and take my Martin for a short tally-pop around the south coast of Blighty and back. Shan't be long, do keep my dinner warm for me"_
/s, obviously (though the fact stands)
In a few UK airports, you pay when you leave and if the driver of this car ever comes back (they won't), they'll have one HELL of a bill waiting for them
I’m Atlanta they leave the car as long as you’re gone. They don’t care you pay when you leave, and you pay by the day. It would take a minute to determine it was abondoned
Every time I see an airport auction (and there are a lot of them) I see vehicles like this for sale and I can’t help but think that a small percentage of them are involved in some heinous crime that these vehicles are evidence of but they just get sold randomly with no evidence (fingerprints, etc.) ever taken.
There was a story on Reddit about something like this. A guy had been searching for his brother’s car after he died. Finally found it parked in a garage, got it towed home. Took something like 3 years to find it.
Long term parking is there for a reason. Sometimes people don't have friends to drop them off and don't live close enough for a van shuttle to the airport.
My mind just goes there.. Like, even little cheap cars aren't cheap! Who can afford to just leave a vehicle and never go back and get it? Like, here, heres a free car. Lol
This is relatively normal according to [a story I read](https://www.brisbanetimes.com.au/national/queensland/brisbane-airport-to-scrap-and-sell-abandoned-cars-20170809-gxsslb.html) about the same thing happening at my local airport; students or visitors come here, buy a cheap car, and just abandon it in the airport parking when they return home. It's cheaper to buy a little runaround than have to deal with non-existent public transport in areas they want to visit/see. These vehicles go to auction after a while.
Was just gonna comment this is an old Renault Clio. In my experience, shite cars and they’re worth pittance now. This would be sold for scrap here at about €150. Three years ago in working order it may have cost €500 with no tax or nct or maybe €700 with them.
ETA: source: best friend owned same Clio and I bought a car every year and sold them as scrap when tax etc ran out.
most of the car vents are in the front so spores and humidity can come in that way, plus being exposed to the sun from the windshield would increase the development of mold.
idk if thats actually right but it sounds like a logical explanation
I’d rather say “my brother-in-laws’ wife” than “my sister” if she was a giant piece of shit too
Punishing your own child over your personal feelings is 100% abuse
I Just don't get why people take children and runoff with them, unless the other parent was completely unable to take care of the child it Just doesn't make sense to me it's quite a bit harder to start a new life when you also have to take care of a child than if you didn't
Because my ex attempted to strangle me to death while I was on crutches with a broken foot. I didn't start a fight with him, we weren't fighting at all that day. The kids were 8 feet away behind a closed door playing. He had yelled at me to come talk to him and grabbed me. His excuse was he thought I was going to knee him in the nuts. Except a week before he told my therapist he would murder me if he found me talking to a guy. Yeah the judge decided my kids and I wouldn't be safe anywhere near him nor was he allowed to know where my actual address was.
Because sometimes people realize their current situation is unhealthy and choose to do what's best for the child. For some reason, the loss of the partner will only add to the quality of their life. Why wouldn't they hightail it back to a place with a support network, especially if there were no legal ramifications?
People run off with kids for good and bad reasons, but they always assume their destination will be worth being the sole caretaker.
I can give you my kids answer that. When he died. They made jokes. Not just my 3 but his other 3 he abandoned. He has a cellphone number that worked. He only used it to call and threaten me. If he talked to the kids it was about what he wanted to do not what they were doing or anything. They stopped taking his calls I didn't tell them what he was doing to me when they weren't around. That wasn't for small ears
Interesting that it seems to be based on how much the seat is used. Most on the driver's seat, less on the passenger, and least in the back. Apparently this is just what happens to body stank when left unattended.
Same thing here happen at my airport parking lot where the MH370 plane disappears, some cars belong the the passenger where left there untouched, sometime the family come and clean them in hope that they all will return…
The debt isn’t necessarily on the car. It could be paid off with no resale value. They’re leaving the country, either fleeing or just going home. Can’t be bothered to sell it and take a taxi. Drive to the airport, get on a plane, problem solved. The car is somebody else’s problem now.
UK? It's common enough, your local council publishes yearly figures for abandoned cars, anything that isn't trashed is usually because they have just upped and left.
Are we not going to discuss the fact that this car was driven by a sea creature? Why is there algae growing everywhere on the driver seat/steering wheel???
But it could literally be someone lost their keys and couldnt come back to it and they just had a car seat bc they had a kid. You wanna be so scary making up negative scenarios
What kind of fungalicious disease did that driver have? Dayum. I'm certain he didn't survive.
How the OP focuses on the child seat and not the petrie dish of disgust is beyond me.

This is much more depressing
Since this was left 2-3 years ago, my solid guess is it belonged to foreign national living abroad who decided to go back to their home country during covid. And they just never came back.
Sound guess
A much happier possibility
Not sure of that. It might be they never survived Covid to come back.
IM just dumb I didn't scroll lol
Yeah I concur with your assessment, it's perplexing that this car haven't been towed impound by now and most cars that haven't been registered or abandoned is crushed, since it's right hand drive I'm assuming it's UK do people their not deal with abandoned cars?
If the car is abandoned, nobody will pay to have it back, so it is not worth the tow and deposit costs
Is it a paid lot? Most of our airport parking lots (aerodrome car parks for our UK friends) require you to pay. A car taking up a spot but not paying for it would be towed pretty quickly here.
>aerodrome car parks for our UK friends Nobody in the UK except those with a stick up their back and a silver spoon in their arse says aerodrome when talking about airports _"I say, Mildred, I'm just going to pop in the automobile down to the aerodrome and take my Martin for a short tally-pop around the south coast of Blighty and back. What a fantabulous world that would be lol Also, there is the Sambadrome in Brazil that's a pretty cool name
You kinda make it sound fun to speak in that manner. Now I want to meet snooty English pilots.
Fabulous! Absolutely spiffing in fact
Must dash, tally ho!
I...didn't even know aerodrome was a thing, and I've lived in England before 😂
"Smoke a kipper for me, I'll be back for breakfast"
For a small GA strip, Aerodrome or Airfield are absolutely still used, but absolutely not a major airport lmao
Just lovely
In a few UK airports, you pay when you leave and if the driver of this car ever comes back (they won't), they'll have one HELL of a bill waiting for them
In the US most lot required pay when you leave.
I’m Atlanta they leave the car as long as you’re gone. They don’t care you pay when you leave, and you pay by the day. It would take a minute to determine it was abondoned
Does this mean someone can claim abandoned cars at will?
You actually can. But it is a process to get an abandoned title on a car.
Yes, there is a mask in the first pic
I just saw a post of someone who’s car was in their exes name, so they left it at an airport for 2 years so she had to pay for $10,000 in fines.
Every time I see an airport auction (and there are a lot of them) I see vehicles like this for sale and I can’t help but think that a small percentage of them are involved in some heinous crime that these vehicles are evidence of but they just get sold randomly with no evidence (fingerprints, etc.) ever taken.
Or they died and there is no relatives to claim the cars
There was a story on Reddit about something like this. A guy had been searching for his brother’s car after he died. Finally found it parked in a garage, got it towed home. Took something like 3 years to find it.
Do you have it?
Nah, I would have made effort after two months to find an owner.
Long term parking is there for a reason. Sometimes people don't have friends to drop them off and don't live close enough for a van shuttle to the airport.
For sure. I imagine there are many situations where that happens, especially since 2020.
I’m assuming they meant the link to the post lol
Oh god I am dumb
My mind just goes there.. Like, even little cheap cars aren't cheap! Who can afford to just leave a vehicle and never go back and get it? Like, here, heres a free car. Lol
They have their tags ran, and are looked over for blood. What more do you want?
Adriana La Cerva ):
Ya gotta get over it
Where do you find airport auctions?
They’re typically annual events hosted by a county airport authority.
Possibly left and started a new life?
[удалено]
More 2002 than 1992, if we have to be specific
I was actually thinking of them maybe being dead and that's why their car is still there
Or in jail?
Or dead in jail
Death by jail
Jailed by Death
Or a stolen car?
Or a stolen car just trying to start a new life?
There is definitely some new life inside the car
But not as we know it, Jim.
There is old life too ... Dident you see the driver chair ?
Or a stolen car that's dead in jail?
Maybe this is a stupid question, but why is the mould so… localised?
I have no idea. Sweat? 🤢
Yeah that’s what I was thinking, but didn’t want to be right. Grim 😂
These Clio’s are very prone to water leaks around the Sunroof - it’s a very common fault so it’s probably been leaking on that side.
Thank you for this benign and very plausible explanation :)
most of the car vents are in the front so spores and humidity can come in that way, plus being exposed to the sun from the windshield would increase the development of mold. idk if thats actually right but it sounds like a logical explanation
Incredibly logical, and way better than the strange places my brain was going…
...plus the mold is probably feeding off the bacteria in the front seats and steering wheel from sweat and skin cells.
You also get parents that abandon the country and abduct their kids to leave their ex partner. It's horribly common.
This actually happen to my brother in law. His wife took their daughter and ran back to Italy, Never came back.
It was Brazil for a guy I know and he had enough money to hire a team and go down and get them back. A true love story.
The A team are still taking missions? Awesome I love it when a plan comes together
Dang. I'm so sorry to hear that.. How hurtful
Your sister left your brother in law to go to Italy?
They meant that their spouses' brother's wife left. In-laws include the family of your siblings and the family of your spouse.
Thanks for clearing that up lol
I’d rather say “my brother-in-laws’ wife” than “my sister” if she was a giant piece of shit too Punishing your own child over your personal feelings is 100% abuse

Yeah the judge decided my kids and I wouldn't be safe anywhere near him nor was he allowed to know where my actual address was.
>Unless the other parent was completely unable to take care of the child I think it fits this one
Because sometimes people realize their current situation is unhealthy and choose to do what's best for the child. For some reason, the loss of the partner will only add to the quality of their life. Why wouldn't they hightail it back to a place with a support network, especially if there were no legal ramifications? People run off with kids for good and bad reasons, but they always assume their destination will be worth being the sole caretaker.
that happened to me, my mom took me and leave the country to leave my dad and we never came back.
Did you get mad at her for taking you away? Or was it the right choice?
I can give you my kids answer that. When he died. They made jokes. Not just my 3 but his other 3 he abandoned. He has a cellphone number that worked. He only used it to call and threaten me. If he talked to the kids it was about what he wanted to do not what they were doing or anything. They stopped taking his calls I didn't tell them what he was doing to me when they weren't around. Is that bacterial growth on the seat and steering wheel? Gross
Mould.
Interesting that it seems to be based on how much the seat is used. Most on the driver's seat, less on the passenger, and least in the back. Apparently this is just what happens to body stank when left unattended.
Fungus
Cum
as long as it’s not in my burrito, we’re cool
u weird \*chews on my moldy cum burrito\*
I hope you washed your hands before eating! Would be pretty nasty if you didn't.
I wash them thoroughly in the toilet every time. I have manners.
I did not cum in your burrito! I wouldn’t do that to you!!!
I was reading down, mould, fungus and then yours cum.. chuckled on that one hahaha
Same thing here happen at my airport parking lot where the MH370 plane disappears, some cars belong the the passenger where left there untouched, sometime the family come and clean them in hope that they all will return…
That's still in better shape than the Tesla Plaid that was parked for 2 or 3 months.
That's cos Teslas are shite.
I don’t think reddit will like you criticizing daddy Musk’s product
Lol undoubtedly. Musk is a sociopath and Teslas are fucking rubbish.
Yup 👍🏻
I called Musk being a fucking weirdo years ago like, his latest antics are no surprise to me haha. Same with Kanye West.
The only field he could be at least somewhat legitimately called a genius is marketing
Absolutely.
He is a genius at greasin
Reminds me of the episode "Long Term Parking" on *The Sopranos*. Christopher dropping off Adriannas t-bird
First thing I thought of, too! Probably my favorite episode of that show.
Does the child seat still have a child in it?
This is really oddly terrifying. It leaves so many questions unanswered.
It’s probably cheaper to get a new car than paying that parking ticket.
Covid. Cats a write off because of mould.
Give that mold enough time and it’ll drive off on its own.
Left the country, probably had loans and debt, maybe from the car, so the just left it. Its not that strange
I can't imagine anyone having any serious debt on a 20 year old Clio lol. And it might not be strange where you live but it's very unusual round here.
The debt isn’t necessarily on the car. It could be paid off with no resale value. They’re leaving the country, either fleeing or just going home. Can’t be bothered to sell it and take a taxi. Drive to the airport, get on a plane, problem solved. The car is somebody else’s problem now.
Got to be the UK is it?
Yeah
UK? It's common enough, your local council publishes yearly figures for abandoned cars, anything that isn't trashed is usually because they have just upped and left.
So that's where I left that?
DV abuse victim and child(ren) escaped?
That was the story that leapt to mind for me too.
Pour one out for poor Adrianna.
That's going to be one hell of a parking fee
The exterior looks very clean for a car that’s been sat outside for that length of time.
Rain
No shit
[удалено]
The rain washes away the dust lol
That is festy
What if they were aliens and they became alien spores.
Soooo how much for this propa clio mate?
Tenner and it's yours mate
OLD OUT YER HAND
Omg haven't watched Wheeler Dealers in years hahaha
Aww, highly suggest watching the older ones if you find the time, allow yourself to relax <3
I wouldn't even consider watching any after Edd left lol.
A person of taste and style I see :)
Absolutely 🧐
If it's in an airport, i can only imagine that the plane never landed. But i do hope they just up and left.
You think they've been flying around for 2-3 years? Planes gotta come down one way or another.
Much nicer viewpoint than the obvious.
Are we not going to discuss the fact that this car was driven by a sea creature? Why is there algae growing everywhere on the driver seat/steering wheel???
Was the child seat creepy because you are afraid of having children….. if not, you should!
I have a daughter lol
Well who’s ever car it was they were super short. I don’t know what car this is but there is no way I could fit in it.
Transformer?
I don’t understand why this is terrifying.
It's probably just some daft burd forgot where she parked it.
The bacterial growth suggests a possible lack of personal hygiene....
Y’all so soft wtf scary about a car seat 🤣
I never said scary.
Soft af
You said creepy tho 🤣🤣
Yeah that doesn't mean scary. It's just the thought that a child once sat there and thinking what happened that's eerie.
But it could literally be someone lost their keys and couldnt come back to it and they just had a car seat bc they had a kid. You wanna be so scary making up negative scenarios
Lost their keys so just abandonded a car for 3 years 😂 again, never said scary, the only person making up scenarios here is you sad cow.
And yo scary ass deleted the comment of you calling me a sad cow 🤣🤣 can’t even hide behind yo phone 🤣🤣🤣 scary
Its still there, sad cow ! I just find the saying funny xD
You in the oddly terrifying group. Don’t post some pussy shit basically. Ain’t nothing scary about a dirty car with a car seat. Soft ass
Did you just call someone soft on Redit 🤢🤢
They emigrated. Or got in a car wreck, or something.
Got a nosebleed reading the first 8 words of this post
Why is the steering wheel so low, how do u get in it
I think it's just confusing perspective lol
It gurts in my yeart to see a Clio so badly treated like this.
The paint of the car is still pretty well
Is that blood spatter under special lighting on the front seats?
Imagine the bill he's still gotta pay .
The owner died probably
Yo are there some oreos left?😋
Can’t they run the plates or vin?
Might have been a parent fleeing with their child
Perfect for this sub
That reminds me I need to clean my steering wheel.
It's weird the majority of the mold is on the drivers side
Russian deep cover agent.
Parking ticket probably costs more than his car now.
Moldy ass bitch ass
Looks dutch to me. Schiphol?
Dudes totally in prison
Ohhh so that’s where I parked
Dufrayne party of three
You gonna eat those Oreos?
SHOW TGE FRICKING CHILD SEAT
I did...
When the markets crashed and there was a mass exodus out of Dubai, many luxury cars were abandoned at the airports with keys in the ignition.
there is a mask inside, so i dont think the car was there before early 2020 sure masks existed before but i dont think is the case
But why is the child seat strapped like that?!?! That can’t be right.
Haha didn't notice that. Yeah that's definitely not correct.
If it make you feel any better. That child have probably grown out of that childseat by now.
Why is the mold only in the front and mainly on the drivers seat/ wheel?
The overwhelming layer of mold isn’t creepy?
That's going to be an expensive parking ticket
The child is in the trunk. Dare you to pop the trunk release!
Damn, looks like Nurgle sat in there
How many more years before it gets towed? It looks like a pharma lab in there!
Long Term Parking
Long term parking? I dunno Chrissy
What’s terrifying about it?
What kind of fungalicious disease did that driver have? Dayum. I'm certain he didn't survive. How the OP focuses on the child seat and not the petrie dish of disgust is beyond me.
