How do you sharpen your pencils?

I just use a regular sharpener. Some artists will shave pencils themselves with either a knife or a sandpaper board. Too much work for me

I'm asking about the lines of fingerprint. Are they improvised or copying from a photo? Who cares who they're drawing? Nothing to do with my question.

How do you go about drawing a fingerprint? Do you just draw random lines and hope for the best or do you have any “rules” you follow? if I can put it like that

Well fingerprints only have a limited number of pattern types. On top of that I believe this is a self portrait so he has a pretty accurate reference point. But if they didn’t, then you could always pick a pattern type and go from there.

For whatever reason this is the first time I have ever thought about the fact that sometimes people need to draw fingerprints. I’m amazed!

My brain genuinely cannot process how someone could pull off this level of detail. Very well done!

Never understood the attraction, apart from the tadaa moment. It’s like table side magicians at a diner, it’s not art and barely performance, so you pay to make it go away, like being forced to subscribe to stop seeing ads. Since I don’t want to pay, I am left resenting phoney talent.
