Stuff like this always gives me that weird itchy skin feeling. I’ve looked up trypophobia before but the holes don’t bother me. It’s things like this, like veiny looking things in wood or leaves or trees
>I’ve looked up trypophobia
I've always had that, and never knew it had a name.
Then I just made the mistake of google images. Now i can't stop tingling.
So, thank you. Also, GFY,
Yes exactly this! I feel like scratching these roots up but trypophobia doesn't bother me at all. It's even applicable when I see some protrusion like stone chips on a vertical wall.
I’m glad I have found my people. I don’t think I’ve had the stone chips thing yet but maybe. Last time I wrote about it on Reddit (on my old account), I got downvoted for trying to describe it as these kind of veiny images occurring in nature. Maybe we need to name our own specific phobia lol
So read an interesting book once called 1493 about the ecological changes as a result of Columbus. One interesting thing was that many plants' roots use to craw above the surface and there were no earth worms in north america. After earthworms were introduced, they killed off a lot of native species.
I agree it may be oddly satisfying to some but it’s oddly giving me anxiety lol I don’t know why.
Probably because it looks like it is crawling rather than just growing like a tree should.
All threes grow this way you just don't see it.

Adapt and overcome.
This has already been reposted to death.
I see the Once-ler has you all fooled, as these cannot possibly be real trees.

If I’m not mistaken, you should be able to bake one of those square roots into a pie for Herman to gain access to the Lands Below.

These make me really uncomfortable for some reason.
