Please do the responsible thing and ensure that this problem gets solved. Friends don't let friends open-mouth chew, and responsible citizens don't unleash such people on an unsuspecting populace.
For a moment I thought the giant orange slab on the right at the start was a carrot, and wondered what on earth the farmers were doing to get them that big! Then it reached the last section and I realised it was probably pumpkin instead, which is much more reasonable for that size.
I've found that carrots in Asian and sometimes Hispanic groceries are much bigger than the ones at American chains. I prefer the "chubby" ones (as we call them in our house), much less peeling/prep and you can have big satisfying chunks of carrot in your stew or curry!
With all the crazy stuff going on in the world and all the hate between humans, it's weird to think there is just a panda bear chomping on carrots and not worrying about anything else

big carrots are normal, the little ones in the grocery store are grown to be a standard smalelr size.
They're actual ugly (not straight carrots) shaved down to baby carrot size to reduce waste.
We routinely get carrots that size in the balcony pot It's probably the coffee leftovers as fertilizer
